Actually, 101ShadowTheHedgehog is correct superdeat, Silver has been announced to be included and several 3D renders have been released of his likeness and design to appear in this game. (Search Youtube if you don't believe me as well as some of the sites with official images (IGN, etc.) And though his/her source is a rather editable to the public, CondemnedEclipse's comment shouldn't've been marked spam, it was very applicable comment for this conversation-like string of comments.

I don't know why everyone is so harsh on sonic unleashed...its actually like 5 times better than the secret rings in my opinions. This games looks balanced and stuff, like sonic adventures were. Unleashes was just a bit different from the adventure games anyways...

I agree with your first statement, the secret rings focused too much upon the wiimote movement function and lacked the ability to accelerate quickly in my opinion. I loved Unleashed, but I played the demo they had at Comic Con of this, and it's better (in my opinion) than either of the Wii Sonic games, if they keep it as is.

Shadow The Hedgehog disappointed me overall, but I guess Shadow's usage of firearms did kinda work to an extent. They suited his persona, I'll give him that.

I guess you could say the same for Sonic and his new toy. Swordplay combined with speed could really create a decent gaming experience, provided that the speed isn't compromised.

As long as they don't waste too much precious gaming potential on other characters and maintain an element of speed... This could be a decent game.
