I find it disconcerting that with all the important issues, these politicians insist on trying to vilify their opponents by connecting them with people who's paths they've crossed in life.
As if somehow because they've come in contact with these persons that they take on the qualities of those people.
At first I thought they were underestimating the American electorate. After reading your comments on youtube, I'm beginning to see they understand the primitive mind set of the voters quite well.
Brooks...ugh. He repeats the elusive claim to help his candidate while saying Mc Cain "had to do this". He coups to the racist claim but "oh maybe we should not have done that". Brooks = one smart air bag who I wish would not contradict himself on each blow-hard appearance. Adulation is creepy? Ay ya yie.
If you are an American Republican viewing this clip on YouTube, Brooks is talking down to "Americans" in general, and the Republican base, specifically. As others have noted, he speaks as if it is inconceivable difficult to find any information on Obama, anywhere, as if the internet is foreign to McCain's base.
I guess we are SUPPOSED to feel like we're voting for the lesser of two evils? When did it become a bad thing to actually like the person you vote for? Should I apologize for not hating Obama? Am I supposed to feel guilty for not being cynical and pessimistic?
because he's too old and stale? because he couldn't hide behind schrubs skirts much longer? because the g.o.p. is too morally and intellectually bankrupt?
David M-F-ING Gergen thought the ad was code for "he's uppity". If Gergen speaks, listen, he's one of the true sages in US political life, hell he's advised both sides.
Come on, Brooks! His message is America's message! You were even on board in the past! This is not "cultish" it is about rhetoric that IS AMERICAN! McCain is like watching paint dry! His message is steeped in the past 8 years and it is so refreshing to hear something new! We aren't going to follow Obama off a cliff, for God's Sake!!!! Stop with the Fucking cult references already!
McCain is the elitist, he's always been wealthy and gotten things due to his family.
I hate to tell him, but Americans are racist and xenophobic. How many trolls do we have around Barack HUSSEIN Obama'ing us left and right? That's the only argument they have.
"The American people don't like to be called racist"? Are u kidding me? Obama didn't call Americans racist, idiot u, he said something truth, HE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THOSE OTHER PRESIDENTS, the man is BIRACIAL u moron!!!

John Mccain "blames" Obama for him running negative, dishonest ads.
"Obama didnt want to do any townhall meetings", so we had to go negative!

You are so right. Will someone please tell these people who can't figure out what Obama is all about to Google his name! Is this so difficult?
