yeah the old guard definitely has to go. The problem is, their useless kids and other proteges are next in line and they are MUCH WORSE. I think that big government on any level simply has to go. What do these people produce? Fuck all. Reams of paper, enriching themselves and their buddies only and not just at the wage-slave's expense through taxation, no, that isn't enough. Now normal people are being double and triple and quadruple-dipped. Time for the trash to be taken out.
2) Bills of credit are illegal currency - the government won't follow so you implode, total collaspe, country is toast
Subversion
The act of overturning, or the state of being overturned; entire overthrow; an overthrow from the foundation; utter ruin; destruction; as, the subversion of a government; the subversion of despotic power; the subversion of the constitution.
The American people deserve what they get. It's all about the money. And Orrin Hatch proves that money can get you anything you want. The USA is for sale to anyone. The public be dammed. The president is bought, Congress is bought and the Supreme Court is bought. Lol, BP owns us and they know it so that's why the Gulf will never be restored back to it's original condition. All they have to do is wait for an oil president to be in the White House.
@pongman Can not disagree with most of you thoughts and statements, Yes, this country is owned by "Big Business" and it's a crying shame that people are not standing up against the "Corporate Bullies". We have to take our country back before the greed destroys our only place in the universe that we can live...
Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - Like Business, Religion and gods will be the end of the human species...
@stevethul1 What you and others either can't or don't want to realize is that the Public simply may not have the power or influence that you think it does. I don't believe it, have not seen any evidence suggesting it, for a while now.
Look at what is going on with BP. There is, and has been, a huge outcry over everything that's been going on regarding it. Give me an example how any of that has amounted to ANYTHING.
@Starry2000 I do realize what the public can do and we do have the power to change the world for the better, only if we all join together as one and stand up to these BP's and Monsanto's. BP is Britons biggest public retirement invested company and if everyone threatened to pulled their money out, I'm sure you would see a change in how they are handling this "World Changing" disaster that was created by all of us that use gasoline and other oil products. It's time for "Clean Energy" change...
@stevethul1 "if everyone threatened to pulled their money out"
They aren't threatening, they ARE pulling their money out. BP has lost tens of Billions in that manner already, indeed about a month ago. They didn't change a damn thing.
And your "well if we got together and sang Kumbaya" is nothing short of ridiculous. That would not accomplish anything other than raising the self esteem of some people and giving the ILLUSION that they accomplished something.
@stevethul1 "this "World Changing" disaster that was created by all of us that use gasoline "
Another total BS line here. No. This was not caused by everyone who uses oil products. The blame lays squarely upon the shoulders of those at BP HQ, specifically those who rushed things despite safety problems.
You completely missed the point, maybe not clear on the meaning of where the blame lies. The world is dependent on "Fossil Products", we are all to blame, that is because the population as a whole could stand up and say "We want alternative fuels" being electric or non-carbon based modes of transport. No, this is not "B.S." because we can reduce the oil used by all of us. If you look at the Universe, it recycles most everything, we can mimic this through science. I do agree with blame to BP.
@stevethul1 "we are all to blame" "because the population as a whole could stand up"
Yeah this would be bullshit. Like I said before, you have this complete and total disconnect from reality. Getting together to sing kumbaya isn't going to do anything, it is not the magic solution to every single problem that we face as according to your fantasies. We have to use oil, and the amount of oil that we do, because our very lives depend on it. We do what we do to just survive. You aren't realistic.
even as a liberal democrat, I have to agree. I'm sick of hearing people say "well if we just held hands and agreed to stop buying stuff that uses oil, we'd be better off" we'd be back in the stone age because the car companies almost completely refuse to let a fully electric car ever get made. Much less trucks or planes that are electric. Even our public transit systems like trains and buses aren't electric.
Its not a coincidence, its the industry attacking the competition.
there should be a whole lot of people people in jail who used their market maker and broker status in a coordinated dog piling naked short attack on capital markets in 08/09 that has gone entirely unprosecuted 2 years now after the crime.
These psychopathic financial elites have us all by the balls until the military gets involved and cleans house IMO.
What did you American cowards expect after decades of failing to demand campaign finance reform... that the growing powers of Corporatocracy would enshrine the moral imperative and the filthy corrupt financial industry would set the gold standard for moral stewardship?
@Panchee123 Newsflash Ron Paul is a republican that needs to go. Paul protects the same corporatocracy that Orin Hatch does, only difference is Ron Paul has a sweet sugar coating only low-information voters can taste.
@Panchee123 Obama and all his crap laws need to be dumped in the dumpster along his 4th reich comrades.Something has to be done about the political players. That is turd head and me part company.History has proven over time that big government becomes corrupt over time.Put the power back into the hands of the states and see how fast the economy turns around.
The key to this video is when the man told Hatch the taxpayers bought worthless junk bonds....look at how uncomfortable he got and started moving the podium....all elected officials have done this to themselves....their constant lies and broken promises have finally caught up with them....the people want to trust someone but the only thing they have done was taught everyone not to trust anyone...they have played this lying game to long and the people see it now
You are stupid the reform bills all have provisions that would keep bailing out the to big to fail. Please read the bills. That is why many on both sides would not vote on the reform. As far as pull the wool over eyes both parties are full of corrupt politicians. Of the 535 only a dozen deserve their job. Grow up and smell the coffee people it is time to get rid of 90% in the house and senate.
Whenever a politician is confronted with the question, "who side are you on?" the answer is like the one Orrin Hatch gave, complete bs. It shouldn't matter whether you wear an orange hat or a purple hat, politicians like Hatch must be kicked out. Failure to do so is what gets our country into trouble and we have only ourselves to blame.
@stevethul1 when we vote in "New blood" to represent us the only ones who really benefit are the lobbyists. We need to put the fear of god into our existing elected officials.
@antifaith82 So True, but, Which god should we use for the fear factor?
As far as I am concerned the only god that exist is the "Universe" and the only jesus is "Science". As we already know, most "Right Wing Bible Thumper's" think that they are going to a place that was made up by man. What a shame there isn't a real god to fear...
Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - Send Religion and god back to the Bronze Age Never to Return - NEVER!!!
@stevethul1 Agreed, which is apparent to most people by the way I spelled it with a lowercase g. It's just a saying not to be taken literally. But while we're on the subject I agree with System of a Down when they say science has failed our mother earth.
@antifaith82 - I must ask, Why do you say "Science has Failed our Mother Earth"? When science is doing all that it can to show people that we are going to be our own demise...
Man Made god, Not, god Made Man - The Universe is my god and Science is my jesus...
@stevethul1 Today a large part of science is in the hands of the wealthy private elite, much in the same way that religion is. That's why. Good example of this is how Monsanto has wiped out the biodiversity of the world's corn.
I'm not religious nor do I believe in god so take your slogans and shove em up your ass.
@antifaith82 -Did a little research about the corn issue you are correct about the "Corn's" biodiversity being eroded with current strains that are being used for fuel productions. As for "Slogans" being shove up my ass - Too bad you've only seen one of my "Anti Religious, Anti god" signatures which I always post when making comments on theses channels. You have taken this wit, the Wrong Way.
Man Made god, Not, god Made Man-Send god and religions back to the Bronze Age, Never to Return - NEVER!
I am starting to wonder if the United States has the intellectual wherewithal to elect effective honest officials. There is so much focus on things that don’t matter, and so little thought given to the things that do.
Pretty much everyone in the World knows that the US is on the way down. America may not get the government it needs, but it will certainly end up with the one it deserves.
@aldushuxley We do. The problem is that our elected officials are all shit. The good ones get bought out (Obama) or the supposed choices we have when voting are all corrupt to begin with. We also can't find the good ones because the corrupt guys have sooo much more financial backing to advertise their campaigns. Big business is incredibly powerful and there just aren't enough good politicians to stand up to them
@aldushuxley this is what happens when you do erode public education for 30 or so years, people get stupid, then you shift from a manufacturing based economy to a consumer based one, people are too busy buying shiny things to care..
that's probably something people don't want to admit to themselves...these people don't just fall into office, we are letting them in and continue to squat there..all the while letting ourselves get caught up in the most trivial and inconsequential stuff Just go into the YoungTurks home page and sort the uploads by Most Viewed and see what kind of stuff makes up the top half of the list...sad.
@aldushuxley Every power has later fallen, from Athens, Sparta, Persia, Macedon, and Rome, to France, Britain, Russia and Germany. Once America falls, China will takes its place, only to later fall just the same.
This is such a cheap shot and is FAR from the point of what really happened and what lead to the crash. C.R.A created under Carter, which includes the creation of Fannie/Freddie & Indy Mac. Was ANY research done before this crap was hashed together? Short answer - NO. Who recieved the most contributions from these Banks like Goldman? Obama.
Good comment. These clowns are playing these people who are obsessed with playing red vs. blue like a fiddle - & everyone else is forced to be stuck with the consequences.
Republicans Deregulate --> Cause economic collapse ---> Steal money from working Americans, give it to banks to prevent 'Depression' ----> Steal even more money (TARP) ---> Massive deficit ----> Stimulus to create jobs ----> More stimulus ----> Looking a little better (at least not worse) -----> Republicans step in, tell taxpayers from whom they stole the original money from to go fuck themselves ---> Recovery? Nope
Hatch DOES think they are dumb, and he DOES think he is tricking them. Did you hear all of the people applauding his response to the question? A majority of those people have no idea, and they take pride in not knowing. All they have is their ignorance. They don't want to hear how crooked republicans like Hatch are. As long as hating gays and baby killers is in the discussion, none of the other "political" stuff matters.
Republicans are either dumbshit racist hicks without a clue or evil greedy pigs. Way to go GOPieces of shit. Orin Hatch is a worthless pig that deserves to be executed for treason.
@kurd55 while it's rather ugly to think of such things in 2010, i completely agree. how many of these swine would be so greedy, if those of them would were guilty of such crimes were in fact prosecuted and executed in public?
of course, people should become more active in politics so it doesn't get this bad, but hey.
...and you heard him, he's part of the judiciary commitee that is bent on protecting the bank robbers. Explains why nobody is going to jail. Everyday they are robbing people....it is corporate socialism and its why they dont want the humans to have any socialism of their own. They believe it's a govt by the people for the corporations.
Time for voting a third party, make sure to write in communist party they know more of the problems in america than the the other two parties. PERIOD!!!
You can't blame the politicians, you have to blame the American people for participating in government every four years and expecting something to actually happen in there favor. ni4d*US
don't you just love career conservative politicians blaming "big government"? when will people wake up? it's like republicans running on change against their own president.
tired of corporations running the government of the people? start with getting rid of career republicans and watch the culture change.
this guy is a scumbag, he only go after the people who voted for him and than cut off their unemployment check after he and his colleges left them without jobs! and call them crocks, and drug addicts who don't deserve unemployment lol!!
I love how some hicks can claim that high-ranking, intelligent bankers are "destroying the economy" when the overall global economy is growing and when those hicks have never passed Algebra II.
@MiyazakiKnight You are contradicting yourself. The global and national economies are on two different scales. The rest of the world could have positive GDP while the US could be in decline. What others are pointing out is the negative effect American banking activity is doing to the American economy. That activity may or may not negatively affect another country.
The over all economy is growing?? dude, millions of people are losing their jobs to the chinese...how the hell does the number one consumer economy grow when output from china is slowing because a huge part of america is no longer buying anything?? People lost their pensions, the baby boomers are retiring en masse by the tens of millions needing taxpayer support to pay their pension or they have to live on the streets. california cant afford to pay their cops or firemen.
@mYOzZyKaT I think it's a larger problem. People have bought into the idea that no one has to pay for anything with taxes, and those in power have discovered they can divide the treasury among their supporters.
Bush said as much when his tax cuts were instituted in 2001. "It's YOUR money," so you can have it back, with no plan to fund the cuts.
@vidguy007 I do not know about the "not paying for anything" idea. People must some sense of economy. The really hard large problem is the institutionalized lying in American politics and the total unashamed parade of bullshit, lies and making stuff up that constitutes the republican political strategy that Barry Goldwater refined and Bush senior adopted and passed on to his moronic offspring:
Hatch is all an act like most of our politicians. Take a look at his finances which are public, he is heavily invested not only in these large banks but in the drug companies, he is a total fraud and he has not once supported or introduced any legislation that would control these monsters.
This has been a problem for a long time. It isn't the Rep. party or the Dem. party. It's a party of incumbents. They are more focussed on getting reelected than on solving any problems. As long as there are problems then they got something to campaign against. They sell themselves to us but all the while they are compromised and obligated to the big money interests that donate large sums of money. They "sell out". We need to call them out and hold them accountable. ALL of them. "TERM LIMITS"
When did any democrat go after a banker??? WHO THE FUCK IS IN CHARGE? Oh lets see democrats. I am all for term limits for all and they shoud not get a pension. You serve 8 years and DONE!
When someone says the health care bill is a bad thing, I'd like someone to ask them:
"Without using the term Death Panels or Government takeover (unless you explain EXACTLY what is being taken over) please explain exactly what it is that you oppose."
"Having health insurance is our system. If you are against this system, what system do you propose?"
@vidguy007 I`m Brazilian and I confess I don`t know the details about the Health Care Bill, but I`ll allow myself my 2 cents to this. Here they made Health Care free and universal in the Constitution in 1985 (we call it SUS). Results: 1) the free service is of the lowest quality possible, almost inhumane and cruel. Private health companies have grown incredibly since then.
@gilsonbicudo The reason your health system is in chaos is not because of "free" care, it's because your country allows ridiculous treatments and ridiculously high payments to doctors to work in the poorer areas and private insurers are still invested in your so-called "universal" care. Brazil's health care is barely 7% of it's GDP where as in the US it's beyond 16% and we don't have a public option. The similarities of our nations is our political systems are corrupt and the citizens don't vote
@TheUSMetalhead I can`t discuss figures: I don`t have them. The US is certainly much richer, so I suppose you guys can/could do better to the general population`s health whatever system you adopt. Our previous system worked better. Every worker had paid a certain amount and he and his family were covered by a reasonably decent service, yet provided by the government. Very poor people were still attended in a sort of charitable system. Only very rich had private insurance.
@gilsonbicudo Here in the US we pretend we don't have health care for everyone. If someone refuses to play the game and has no insurance and can't pay, we have state programs, which LOTS of people use.
Pretending provides people who don't want universal health care an excuse to not realize we already do.
No country with a functioning government can let people die on the streets. Universal health care is a reality.
Here, people who can't pay get good care, but sometimes too late.
@vidguy007 "If someone refuses to play the game and has no insurance and can't pay, we have state programs, which LOTS of people use."
Evidently you've never been in the position where you can't AFFORD health insurance because they've raised the rates beyond your reach, or can't GET coverage due to a pre-existing condition, but earn too much to qualify for state programs? My husband may have prostate cancer but is in limbo till we can find the money for another biopsy. This is shameful!!
@ismeme I meant, of course, OR can't pay. This was in response to a Brazilian guy's comment. They have universal health care. So do we, but since we pretend we don't, the care is often to little, or too late. We would pay less and have better care if we just understood that it costs more the way we do it.
Yes, I have been lucky, I have worked for good companies that provide good insurance coverage. Unfortunately, not everyone has this coverage.
@vidguy007 You're right, it does cost more the way we do it, and for that reason I have to disagree with your assertion that we have universal health care. There is no equal access to health care in the US, not by a long shot, even with the new bill. You have the health care you can afford, and for tens of millions of Americans who are in the same boat my husband and I are, that's virtually none.
Thanks for your good wishes. If only I could parlay them into the attention my husband needs.
No party has fought harder against the big bank corruption harder than Hatch and the Republcians, and if that guy really wanted to lock up the crooks who are robbing this country, theres plenty of Democrats who do nothing but use their big government bullying to mug ($20 billion from a PRIVATE corporation) this country of it's free market principles. The free market is will crack down on anyone who breaks the rules, but the liberals have broken EVERY rule, just look at the constitution.
@wsoxman couldn't have said it better myself.

All they have to do is wait for an oil president to be in the White House.

stevethul1 1 year ago
@stevethul1 What you and others either can't or don't want to realize is that the Public simply may not have the power or influence that you think it does. I don't believe it, have not seen any evidence suggesting it, for a while now.
Look at what is going on with BP. There is, and has been, a huge outcry over everything that's been going on regarding it. Give me an example how any of that has amounted to ANYTHING.
So start placing the blame where it belongs.
Starry2000 1 year ago
@Starry2000 I do realize what the public can do and we do have the power to change the world for the better, only if we all join together as one and stand up to these BP's and Monsanto's. BP is Britons biggest public retirement invested company and if everyone threatened to pulled their money out, I'm sure you would see a change in how they are handling this "World Changing" disaster that was created by all of us that use gasoline and other oil products. It's time for "Clean Energy" change...
stevethul1 1 year ago 2
@stevethul1 "if everyone threatened to pulled their money out"
They aren't threatening, they ARE pulling their money out. BP has lost tens of Billions in that manner already, indeed about a month ago. They didn't change a damn thing.
And your "well if we got together and sang Kumbaya" is nothing short of ridiculous. That would not accomplish anything other than raising the self esteem of some people and giving the ILLUSION that they accomplished something.
Starry2000 1 year ago
@Starry2000 What we REALLY need to do is all join hands and pray!
Xerxes4242 1 year ago
@stevethul1 "this "World Changing" disaster that was created by all of us that use gasoline "
Another total BS line here. No. This was not caused by everyone who uses oil products. The blame lays squarely upon the shoulders of those at BP HQ, specifically those who rushed things despite safety problems.
Starry2000 1 year ago
You completely missed the point, maybe not clear on the meaning of where the blame lies. The world is dependent on "Fossil Products", we are all to blame, that is because the population as a whole could stand up and say "We want alternative fuels" being electric or non-carbon based modes of transport. No, this is not "B.S." because we can reduce the oil used by all of us. If you look at the Universe, it recycles most everything, we can mimic this through science. I do agree with blame to BP.
stevethul1 1 year ago
@stevethul1 "we are all to blame" "because the population as a whole could stand up"
Yeah this would be bullshit. Like I said before, you have this complete and total disconnect from reality. Getting together to sing kumbaya isn't going to do anything, it is not the magic solution to every single problem that we face as according to your fantasies. We have to use oil, and the amount of oil that we do, because our very lives depend on it. We do what we do to just survive. You aren't realistic.
Starry2000 1 year ago
@Starry2000
even as a liberal democrat, I have to agree.
Its not a coincidence, its the industry attacking the competition.

mYOzZyKaT 1 year ago 4
@mYOzZyKaT I think it's a larger problem. People have bought into the idea that no one has to pay for anything with taxes, and those in power have discovered they can divide the treasury among their supporters.
Bush said as much when his tax cuts were instituted in 2001. "It's YOUR money," so you can have it back, with no plan to fund the cuts.

vidguy007 1 year ago 2
@vidguy007 I do not know about the "not paying for anything" idea. People must some sense of economy. lie
make stuff up

"Having health insurance is our system. If you are against this system, what system do you propose?"
vidguy007 1 year ago
@vidguy007 I`m Brazilian and I confess I don`t know the details about the Health Care Bill, but I`ll allow myself my 2 cents to this. Here they made Health Care free and universal in the Constitution in 1985 (we call it SUS). Results: 1) the free service is of the lowest quality possible, almost inhumane and cruel. Private health companies have grown incredibly since then.
gilsonbicudo 1 year ago
@gilsonbicudo The reason your health system is in chaos is not because of "free" care, it's because your country allows ridiculous treatments and ridiculously high payments to doctors to work in the poorer areas and private insurers are still invested in your so-called "universal" care. Brazil's health care is barely 7% of it's GDP where as in the US it's beyond 16% and we don't have a public option. The similarities of our nations is our political systems are corrupt and the citizens don't vote
TheUSMetalhead 1 year ago 2
@TheUSMetalhead I can`t discuss figures: I don`t have them. The US is certainly much richer, so I suppose you guys can/could do better to the general population`s health whatever system you adopt. Our previous system worked better. Every worker had paid a certain amount and he and his family were covered by a reasonably decent service, yet provided by the government. Very poor people were still attended in a sort of charitable system. Only very rich had private insurance.
gilsonbicudo 1 year ago
@gilsonbicudo Here in the US we pretend we don't have health care for everyone. If someone refuses to play the game and has no insurance and can't pay, we have state programs, which LOTS of people use.
Pretending provides people who don't want universal health care an excuse to not realize we already do.
No country with a functioning government can let people die on the streets. Universal health care is a reality.
Here, people who can't pay get good care, but sometimes too late.
vidguy007 1 year ago
@vidguy007 "If someone refuses to play the game and has no insurance and can't pay, we have state programs, which LOTS of people use."
Evidently you've never been in the position where you can't AFFORD health insurance because they've raised the rates beyond your reach, or can't GET coverage due to a pre-existing condition, but earn too much to qualify for state programs? My husband may have prostate cancer but is in limbo till we can find the money for another biopsy. This is shameful!!
ismeme 1 year ago
@ismeme I meant, of course, OR can't pay. This was in response to a Brazilian guy's comment. They have universal health care. So do we, but since we pretend we don't, the care is often to little, or too late. We would pay less and have better care if we just understood that it costs more the way we do it.
Yes, I have been lucky, I have worked for good companies that provide good insurance coverage. Unfortunately, not everyone has this coverage.
I hope your husband is ok.
vidguy007 1 year ago
@vidguy007 You're right, it does cost more the way we do it, and for that reason I have to disagree with your assertion that we have universal health care. There is no equal access to health care in the US, not by a long shot, even with the new bill. You have the health care you can afford, and for tens of millions of Americans who are in the same boat my husband and I are, that's virtually none.
Thanks for your good wishes. If only I could parlay them into the attention my husband needs.
