  • i dont know if it was a diferent movie, but i remember they comenting or at least in the television(on the movie) that a satelite was to reentry the planet, also i think in one of those delated scenes in the video tape u can c something falling from the sky that looks like burning(guessing its the satelite) but i have never notice before the splash on the water, that didnt look like a satelite falling for me

  • @demonlordzero When anything comes from space and hits the earths atmopshere, it usually burns up.

wouldn't suprise me if they sneaked in the classical movie 'Satalite falling from space" coverup into the film.

  • i saw that in the movie!

  • Whoa! It is amzing how real it looks!

  • now how the FUCK was i supposed to catch that? it's still barely visible in slow motion!lol

  • I saw it splash!! It was the monster!! I just know it was!!

  • @pinkdragon250 nope actually the monster is under water and had been for like hundreds of years or something like that... it was a satellite that fell and splashed in the water and woke the monster up which made it cranky and it decided to destroy everything lol

  • @perm30 and also did you no that the monster is scared after being seperated form its mum and woken up thats why it goes on its rampage

  • @halodudeh117 no actually

  • @perm30 oh ok. so it must of been a satellite then. since everyone keeps saying it is. thanks for your information.

  • Ok can no one call me stupid or anthing cause I just want to know, is it ment to be there or is it just a sattelite I just want to know, either way I think it's pretty cool and it's even on the plot on wiki (not that that means anything) I'm just curious to see if anyone knows for SURE

  • @girlbubble7991 "J.J. Abrams has stated that the scene with the satellite was included in the film as a nod to those that followed the viral marketing campaign." The viral marketing for this movie was a blast

  • it came on earth and did not new were to go and when the us army shot it. it had to fight back

  • it looks like it was in a egg and the egg spash to the water

  • Love it but anyways watch the whole movie backwards and its about a monster saving and rebuilding NYC. Hilarious!!!!!!!!

  • @oldskoolgangsta20 except it's not really hilarious though, is it?

  • i think it the clover in a drop pod :)

  • its not a satellite what about that roar look at it closely you see the monster falling

  • any one else hear a roar?

  • @DarkYoda0025 Its the shockwave of the satellite

  • and were was spider man when this was happening!!!!-:0

  • Took me about 15 times to see it...

  • @pwnkingstreetz1 That was a satellite at the end not the monster. The monster is asleep underwater and yes it's always peoples fault we went to get the satellite and found the animal asleep and decided to build a fake oil rig over it and woke it up and the closest land was manhattan and the monster became confused in this new world and we decided to shoot little pointy thing that blow up at it. So basically our fault it came to manhattan

  • @ledevine Hell yes

  • did clover make a do its cry when it hit the water & how the fuck of all places did it end up in NYC

  • godzilla would fuck clover up

  • @ledevine I would disagree but I'm not like most people on here who would act like idiots for not agreeing with them.

  • hulk can easely tear clover up

  • Hell lets throw in the alien gorilla things from skyline and have ourselves one big ass monster royal rumble!

  • Who was bigger...the monster walker from the mist or our friend clover here?

  • I don't see anything....

  • i do see it maybe cloverfield 2

  • wtf r u ppl seing i cant see anything

  • My sister said she saw that in theaters. I thought she was crazy cus I didn't see shit. I even watched the dvd, saw nothing. Now I see it. Holy shit, how do you people notice something like that? It's small as shit and blends in with the clouds.

  • @DragonLcver it is nice to connect the dots of a movie and see how the storyline actually is. That is also with real life myth. Especially when they want you to find things about their movies. Look at the marketing for example. They were really busy trying to make us interested into the movie, but I think that it has failed. Movies like Twilight or Scary movie one thousand are more into the crowd. To bad most people are group followers. Because movies like Cloverfield are allways pushed away.

  • @DragonLcver cinema screens are over 700 inches big.. that's how.

  • Cloverfield 2 out in 2014!

  • (for part II of the movie) What if it wasn't a satelite that they claim now, but actually a pod?. With one parasite in it?. Would be cool. I just don't like the story now, that the creature actually lived underwater for so long...sleeping...How long would they have been around here then on Earth?. And why didn't we saw one of these parasites before?. In the first movie, we can clearly see that they can live above water. So at least someone should had seen one and mentioned it.

  • @jeffreygebbin I don't know if it was confirmed or denied, but in rumor, if you remember the girl passed out on the couch during the party? She was supposedly a reporter who had been investigating a case about the government is keeping species records from the public and that they were hunting down what could be the lockness monster. There's also a rumor that the government had the monster in the oil tanker, but I believe that was denied.

  • @DragonLcver Yes I do remember. She was the bf of the secret person that gave her the slushoo stuff. In one video she gets all crazy because of it. That the creature was captured and locked inside the boat could be logical, and it then attacked the statue of Liberty. But that doesn't explain the attack on the oil drill. So that would mean that or it was captured there, or there are more of these things. And if there are more, then to me it would spoil the whole movie.

  • @jeffreygebbin I'm sure there are several little hints as to what really is going on, but they are probably leaving us in the dark on purpose. Makes it more interesting not knowing.

  • i think JJ is being JJ and leaving it to our interpretation

  • The Japanese Godzilla could cook Clover alive and then bite his sorry little head off!

  • At ) 0:13 you can kinda hear a splash

  • Yeah call goku

  • OMG OMG I SEE IT!

its like sooooo faint, but you can see it!!! OMGGGGGG

  • i think cloverfield 2 should have 2 more cloverfield monsters but they fight each other lol, then king kong comes in and starts fighting them

  • i feel like that was just random and wasn't really intended to be in the film

  • You all can call whoever you want. I will call my 2 favorites: Mothra and Ghidorah. They'll kick some butt! :P

  • I don't see shit

  • No call Goku...

  • So what if I just watched it on MTV a few mins ago. :s

  • As for the fight between Godzilla and the BABY Clover. Think about who would win. The Clover survived a bombing run from a B-2, continued artillery assault, and the Japanese. Godzilla can't touch it.

  • Don't be so sure. Godzilla has defeated countless monsters before. He has even casually breezed through the entire Japanese military without so much as flinching, considering the fact that, in the series, Japanese technology and weaponry was much more efficient and advanced than the american military, who had trouble with Zilla. Clover may be durable, but he is leagues below Godzilla in such feats.

  • Aside from his regenerative abilities, and tough hide, Godzilla's atomic breath has been proven time and again to be very powerful, he has even used it to destroy a miniature black hole. Not to mention he has withstood the impact of an asteroid several times his size and came out unscathed. I am aware of the fact that we have yet to see what the cloverfield monster is even capable, what has been shown is it taking several bombings and and tanks and a small grounds force.

  • Clearly nothing Godzilla can't just yawn his through. Were Clover ever to come into face with Godzilla, it would be reduced to a flaming carcass. Although this is strictly my opinion based on what I have seen from the two monsters. Now, on the scenario that the parents ever do surface and we finally get a glimpse of their sizes(although, with Clover still being a baby, it is widely believed that the parents must at least be twice the size clover, and I agree)

  • Godzilla would no doubt have his hands full. But as I said, he has defeated many monsters in his time who had shown to be much more capable and than Clover. There was even a time when he beat and killed King Ghidorah on his own, who was very well powerful enough to destroy entire civilizations and ruined planets.

All in all, I believe Godzilla takes this. ;)

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie Bro you're releasing a bit to much Godzilla fanboyism now. It's a matter of waiting to see what that fully grown, not disoriented Clover after getting used to all that military attack is capable of then we'll see it compared to Godzilla. One can only make assumptions and make Godzilla out to be the best and strongest. It's not fact. Probably not fact until hey make a movie with the both of them in it. Preference and opinion my friend.

  • The same should be said for you. You base all this on speculation yourself. I however have been stating actual facts about Godzilla, what he's done and so on. It is not "fanboyism", Because someone is knowledgeable about a certain subject, does not instate that they would "worship" it, as other real fanatics would. I can name plenty of others who can rip Godzilla in two without much effort.

  • I am merely stating facts and my own opinions based on what I have seem and read about Godzilla. I can direct to a link if you prefer that over my statements. Bottom line, it was all opinion to begin with. You think Clover would win, I say Godzilla.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie Yes I agree. I would actually enjoy a movie with Godzilla vs Clover(parent or fully grown) I don't actually care who would win now..I just want to see those to forces go at it.

  • I agree.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie All in all it's not a fair fight in general. Clover has been in one movie and they hardly showed it which I actually thought was an effective story telling technique. And I am curious as to those monsters that could rip Godzilla in two without much effort.

  • For example:

Galactus, although bringing him in would be overkill, Silver surfer, Superman(silver age), Thor, Cthulhu, any one of the Old ones, as they are abstract beings, and Godzilla would simply be unable to do any harm, The mythological titans may vary,Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Eva unit 01(god form), Demonbane, the Greek gods, etc. Not exactly monsters but you get the idea. In other words, basically any beings who's powers are beyond the planetary scale and so on.

  • Another way to defeat him would be the use of the Oxygen destroyer which was used on the first Godzilla. Although since it's deployment, and the fact that the creator died along with it, it has been ruled out since the formula for it can never be replicated..

  • Godzilla may not be the most powerful being, but he is among the powerhouses and quite capable of wreaking havoc upon humanity as an indestructible force of nature. He is by far the strongest Kaiju in the tokusatsu series well deserved of the title King of the monsters.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie hahaha I see yea they would destroy Godzilla. I thought you meant monsters when you said that. Who would win out of those guys you listed?

  • Well, I'd say any one of them could tear Godzilla a new one..

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie So since we're off the subject of who would destroy who, did you enjoy Cloverfield all that much as a movie?

  • I liked it. I've actually watched about 4 times. The extreme camera movements were the only annoyance..

    But that's beside the point.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie The Clover itself is just a baby, not only that it's able to survive in high pressure and low temperature conditions, it would've gotten used to that over a thousand years...so Godzilla still couldn't touch it. And if Godzilla managed to get past the baby and the parents got involved. Godzilla would be laughable compared to the parents. At least the Clover monster is believable other than some radioactive lizard shooting out lazerbeams.

  • I have repeated stated it was baby as well. I agree, Godzilla would have somewhat of a tough time against the parents, he would come out the winner regardless. Size has nothing to do with it. Godzilla has been shown to have incredible strength and he himself has traveled the depths of the oceans, survived a being buried inside an active volcano and has even swan through the magma beneath the earths crust, which is by far more impressive that anything the cloverfield monster has going.

  • As for the bit about being "believable", this is a discussion about giant monsters in films. Of course there are plenty of things that would seem rather far fetched. Godzilla is an irradiated dinosaur by the way. Not a lizard. And to me, a mutated dinosaur with radioactive abilities wouldn't be that hard to conceive. It's a lot more believable than a giant long armed toad like creature such as clover.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie Godzilla is overrated you haven't even seen the parents. You don't know what there capable of either. If all we know the parents could be big enough and strong enough to just stand on Godzilla and kill him. Already assuming he would come out the winner regardless is an understatement. You make out Godzilla to be the most incredible invincible monster there is despite comparing him to a DISORIENTED baby clover who didn't receive damaged but instead got pissed when fired at.

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie Just remember since he is a baby...he is going to continue growing up getting even more used to all the bombings and artillery fire and any other sort of military attack. Evidently getting stronger and stronger and much more durable. Now don't get me wrong when I saw the original Godzilla not the crappy American one...I thought no creature could ever touch this until I saw Cloverfield. We haven't even seen what the baby is capable of. Only when it got pissed.

  • Still didn't see it

  • okay i hear what is that but to make sure....so from all what i got is that the video shows when and where they landed rite?

  • Btw, Do anybody know if that ferris wheel which they're shooting from is the very same "Wonder Wheel" from "The Warriors" movie?

  • u cant even see it in real time so why wouldnt they tell the viewers about it....hmmmm

  • @SWITCHPRODUCTIONS100

I saw it in the theater. And it's an easter egg, it isn't meant to be in your face.

  • Why wasn't this mentioned in the movie?

  • @LazerFlash13

because ambiguity adds to the plot

  • I'm calling Godzilla ....

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie You'd better because it was just the baby. Not kidding Abrams said so himself.

  • Yes, I'm well aware of that. Imagine the size of the parents? Even so, no monster is too big for Godzilla!

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie Man too much to imagine..the baby itself being bigger than Godzilla is mind blowing..

  • He's got this. ;)

  • @MacdreezieuBeezie The fact that the baby if bigger than Godzilla but still might get ripped in half is understandable but Godzilla would stand no chance against one of the parents if not both. And saying even that. The Clover never even died.

  • I've seen a lot of movies, and this one here, is in my top 10. It's so powerful and dramatic, and really suspenseful. It's all a monster movie needs, and Cloverfield nailed it! And the fact that it was all done with a video camera just made the story even more dramatic, which was simply... Amazing.

  • I don't know if anyone knows this yet, but sorry to break the news, that's not the monster falling into the water at the end. It's actually a satellite, and it supposedly woke the creature up. I don't know why they would show that in the film if that was true though. Anyways, this was awesome nonetheless. When I saw this in theaters the first day, I didn't notice it, then when it came to DVD, I saw it there. It's crazy. I want this on blu ray.

  • @mrchiledonut

The satellite didn't wake the creature up. Drilling did.

  • @mrchiledonut There are so many holes in the explanation the producers gave.

Yes, they have confirmed that the object was, indeed, a satellite.

And they also said that the satellite crash is what woke the monster up.

But they've also claimed that the monster was woken up by people drilling to get some sort of nectar. It woke it up and it got scared and angry, so it rampaged through New York pretty much out of fear.

Their explanations never seem to fit.

    Still a great movie.

  • @RenoReturns The nectar was the Slusho ingredients

  • lol

  • Notice the roar after the camera beeps. Either something was in it or it just plain conked him on the head and ticked him off!

  • i watched this like a million times before i could finally see it X)

  • wtf ? they make a monsterfilm and don´t show the monsters, what an shit. seems like some1 added the 2 pixel in the video.

  • @TheGuyBehindThePC If you watched the movie then you'll see the monsters.

  • @AntiCookie007 i watched the movie. my poor eys, seems that they spare some money for a good camerateam.

bt. this was the second worst Monster movie i watched. The worst movie was the movie called "monsters", was just a romantic crap.

  • @TheGuyBehindThePC Yeah, I know this movie is pretty bad. It would've been 10x better is it wasn't a documented style like this.

  • it will destroy manhattin but we have chuck norris ready to kill it

  • @jackbowsers5 Chuck norris is overrated, its not funny anymore

  • How did people miss that? It's pretty obvious. XD

  • Ok guys......IT NOT A SAT ALIGHT Why would a monster bigger then the statue of liberty be in only 189 feet water INPOSSIBLE you need to go out far for it to hit 1,000 THE monster fall's into the water and then attact's that night come on now am only freakign 10 i i know this

  • @MaTtBaKeR50 I thought ten year olds could at least spell.

  • @MaTtBaKeR50 Because it's a film... and in films, things happen like monsters growing over small periods of time. Let me guess, you also believed that the monster was real? Get out.

  • its actually a satelite falling into the ocean, as it does, it awakens the monster. and the reason it can withstand the military attacks is becuz it was sleeping in the DEEP ocean depths, so it has adapted to all the pressure causing it to have a tough body, therefore, surviving the "hammer down" protocol...btw its only a baby so imagine wat its parents are like ;]

  • @zubbzeero oh shi* we need nukes ohh wait wee have chuck norris

  • @zubbzeero O good job :) you watched the behind the scenes stuff huh? yep the whole movie was just the monster looking for its Mother. Can't wait too see what the do in the second one if they ever make one that is.

  • @Riku2099 nope i figured it out, i knew it was a baby becuz i took lessons in physcology and sociology and the way it was behaving was very similar to an infant, its throwing tantrums as the military throws attacks at it for hours, and its aggitated so it destroys everything around it. and the surviving protocal thing was a guess since, like i said, the military was bombing it for hours continuously...

  • @zubbzeero nice

  • Listen to me very carefuly NOBODY GIVES A FUCK IF YOU TOOK LESSONS ON PHYSCOLOGY OR SOME SHIT JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP

  • @zubbzeero What are you? A cloverfield expert?

  • @AntiCookie007 ok sorry i ddnt mean to say it like tht xP i got soo into it wen i explained it, i ddnt mean to brag

  • @zubbzeero hah, it's alright. :P

  • A flash!

  • I just noticed that actually that is a alien ufo dropping down to wake up the baby monster at the bottom of the sea like war of the worlds 2005, thats what it said in the comment! 0_0

  • @MARCUStheDEXTOR no it's a satallite dish

  • If u have not seen super 8 please do not read this. When the monster goes in the spaceship at the end could the thing falling from the sky be the spaceship or if the spaceship caught on fire and the monster escaped and then landed in the sea?? And also u can her the monster roar at one point in this scene

  • the girl talking on this scene looks like Hope Solo, i know you cant see here in this clip, but the full ending where it shows both of them together on the carnival

  • man when i saw this movie i didnt notice it couse i was looking at the carnival things

  • in my opinion this movie wasnt terrible but they could have done a better job on how the cloverfield looked, or the moster or whatever you want to call it. It just looked too corny and unbelieveable.

  • @lisaintsrr02 Your opinion dont mean shit

  • @lisaintsrr02 I thought it looked fairly cool, and thankfully glimpses of the monster were brief which is the way it should be.

  • no the object that splashed into the water was part of a viral marketing plan by the company that Rob just got hired as vice president for. Theres suposedly an ingredient in it that can turn a small fish into a whale and that ingredient is what made that monster the size it became. Honestly, the splash is too small to see and if I didnt look it up I wouldnt have known any of this so next time this guy makes a movie, he better let his audience be able to put the pieces togethermore intelligently

  • @lisaintsrr02 You a douche..that shit doesnt even make sense dude

  • Haha I Just Watched It On MTV Freaking Crazy

  • @CesarMunozSongs haha same here!

  • That is seriously SO subtle. I don't know how anyone could see that without having it pointed out to them.

  • Every comment in the last five minutes are from people who just watched it on MTV

  • @hiimderek Yea and i am one :p

  • STUPID FUCKING MOVIE. Godzilla way better...

  • They should have made it a little more noticeable

  • satellite not monster.

  • ive never seen this movie but i want to D8

but is that meant to be the monster? cus the monsters HUUUGE ?:O

  • this was WAY clearer on the actual big scene cinema version. This youtube vid gives a good shot of it though.

  • I didn't watch this in the cinema, maybe I would have noticed if I did.

There are some people that would notice the splash and think "WHY WOULD THAT HAPPEN? I MUST KNOW" others would just ignore it.

Years of watching Lost, scanning the screen for each morsel of information has been a good training method for many.

  • It has literally taken me about 20 views of the zoomed in shot to see that, how in the name of fuck did anyone catch it whilst watching the movie

  • Dude that's fucking intense

  • It's a lot clearer on dvd than online. Still an awesome twist though

  • I know what this is its a satellite that fell from space and in the water waking up the monster aka clover which is an undiscovered animal that was sleeping in the water for hundreds of years.

  • Man, when i first saw this scene I knew exactly what happened. Because that's what they intended, right? The thing sticks out like a sore thumb.

  • that's not it, the real one is after a few seconds more

  • @thew00ted

Could you make a vid with "the real one"?

  • how the F**** did people find that

  • @prototype434 I noticed it when I first saw it, figured they must be showing the ocean for some reason

  • @Marioag20 you must have some good eyes...

  • well i gues it could be the sound of the satilite falling instead of the roar right?

  • Im pretty sure its the monster cause you can hear its roar and thats 1 month before

  • I think it's a satellite and when they went and searched for it then they saw it and woke it

  • i saw this clip in the movie on tv today. i know it makes sense that it would be a satellite, but why then did you hear the monster roar?

  • its not the monster and i never even saw this til this video. but abrams said its a satellite crashing down

  • We know this isnt the cloverfield monster because 1. The director specifically said it was in the water for thousands of years

and 2. notice the dates of the attack, and this sighting. A month away. Isnt that a little suspicious?

  • @charlie120asc plus considering the size of the monster i'd imagine the event of it crashing down would be much larger.

  • @charlie120asc part 2 maybe ???

  • @charlie120asc Oh, so the satellite crashing like caused it to come out.

  • @Daryan55TV Basically

  • this is definitly the best version on youtube but even here you barely see anything. they could have made it bigger. this actually the first video where i see at least something at all

  • Holy crap! You can hear a roar after Rob's watch beeps. It's faint, but you can hear it. Cool.

  • OOH MY FUCKING GOD!! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS??? I SAW THAT MOVIE LIKE A 10 TIMES AND I NEVER SAW THAT!!

  • that isnt the monster, but a satellite falling from space. thats what woke up the monster. think about it. could that really be the monster if in the movie its bigger than the statue of liberty?

  • @XScarletWarriorX

Ofc it can, it may be able to shape its form or to grow that big in a month.

That thing falling from the sky is a clear appointment that Clovy is an Alien^^

  • @Paivren Yes i suppose your right. i just got the movie to watch it XD

  • MAAAAAN i´ve seen lots of this videos but only with yours i saw the falling thing, really thank you so much

  • @caterpieglvx yes it is

  • after the camera beeps listen closely... use headphones for best quality you will hear something...

  • Sequel is needed

  • Hmmm - I saw it this time. . . but no roar

  • @konman001 You can hear it after the camera beeps at 0:05.

  • I've been trying to see that for ages, and even now that I know where it is I barely see it. I have no idea how anyone could have seen it without knowing it's there.

  • @PrObLeMcHiLD6664 lol thanks man i just want to know if it was an alien or some unk monster of the sea

  • Monster roars after camera beeps twice

  • @bravojag yup never caught that

  • @bravojag heard it

  • @bravojag lol it kinda sounds like the old cheesy Godzilla roar

  • A satilite fell out of the sky and crashed into the sea, which awoke the monster.

  • I saw it the first time. Then I flipped the fuck out and ordered my brother to rewind. Then he flipped the fuck out.

    And then chaos happened.
