On the DVD they said they had to lengthen Sebby's catchphrase because of mouth flaps. That is why you hear "Yes, my young lord." instead. I was also disappointed at first, but being a fan scriptwriter/dubber myself, I could see where they were coming from. So calmly withdraw the fangs, please.

Not bad. They shpuld of mase themselves sound natural with a hint of diect. The english dialect is way too strong. I guess it takes some time to get use to.

Honestly the voice wasn't that bad. I was there and it was really good. You just have to get use to the voice. Of course it's gonna sound different in English than in Japanese and the actors gave it their all because they really love the series (THEY WATCHED IT BEFORE DOING THE DUB) SO PLEASE DO EVERYONE A FAVOR STOP BITCHING AND COMPLAINING. I think it's too soon to tell if one likes the voices or not. Personally I'm kind of sad he doesn't say "yes, my lord." But honestly, the meaning is the same =/ besides, saying it without a Japanese accent would most likely NOT fit the flaps and sound -really- awkward. And no one wants that.

Also, J. Michael Tatum's voice is not too high. He voiced Kyouya in the OHSHC dub. He's a good actor. Ciel sound's just fine to me.

In the end, if you don't like it, don't watch. It's as simple as that.

Hey don't be to hard on him the reason why they changed up the lines is so that they could sink the voices better to the lips is what Tatum said to me it actually sounds better in person though he can't beat Daisuke Ono he does ok

I'm not a fan... I've seen a large clip of the first episode, and a clip from the second - I'm not liking the voices chosen for the dub. They don't fit the characters, in my opinion.

Oh well. I'll still with the original Japanese, and Daisuke Ono. Damn, his voice is beautiful.

Anyone complaining about Ciel's voice/accent should realise that a noble - even a child - in Victorian England, raised richly... albeit with trauma, would sound like that. Defined and refined. And, obviously, English.

I can get used to this. But I have a feeling that the accents are going to be a tad bit annoying if they don't sound good. Sebastian's voice is okay...

I need to watch more to really 'judge' it. That was barely enough to judge how good the dub is. <3 even if it does suck, i'm still buying the DVD's because i'm a hard core fan! Or maybe I should say, "I am one hell of a fan" : D

I have to say, I'm amazed they managed to make Ciel sound like a guy. But I have to say he dub probably would be better without the accents. This at least the way the bad audio sounds, makes this sound like a really bad fandub.

Sebastian's voice is alright, but I'm not really digging Ciel's voice. But this is only 29 seconds so hopefully I'll change my mind once I hear more? x] Upload part 2 asap please, cause I'm DYING to hear the rest!

As for the people who are bashing, please note that everyone's voice is different and these voice actors tried their best. Also, that no one can possibly replace Daisuke Ono's [sexy] voice or Maaya Sakamoto's voice. ^-^

while in ep one he may say "of course, my lord", I saw a clip of ep two, and he said "consider it done, my lord" at one point. I'm almost certain he may say "yes, my lord" at one point too. But it all depends on the mouth flaps. They cant say "yes my lord" if it doesnt fit...

@fubukifangirl Thats the thing, when Ono D says it in english, it still has like an extra little syllable or when he says it its a little different thanks to the japanese accent. "Yes my Lord-u" or "Yes-u my Lord-u" we hear that. It might have made a different for the flaps, at least, me and other Kuro fans were talking about it at blackbutler. net so...Well I have yet to see how the mouth flaps are.

I won't complain because either way if the dub sucks or rocks we are still going to get the Japanese audio in the DVD's too so everyone can always watch those. I will always love the Japanese and appreciate the English but lets just try to be supportive.

Okay, I know a lot of people are saying he sounds a little feminine and I agree but lets try to understand something. Ciel is (at this point in the anime) only twelve years old. He has YET to hit puberty so (I'm laughing as I type this) he is going to sound like a girl. I just like to think like that. I think the voice actors are doing their best. There aren't many people who are working as voice actors that can do accents but I think they pulled it off the best they could.

Totally not digging Sebastian's voice -_- Hopefully my opinion will change once I see more. However, I really like Ciel's voice :D It could be just a tad deeper but it's fine as it is. Sebastian's, on the other hand, is bothering me..idk why :/
