Being a new fan, I find that when I return to some of the more obscure songs, like this and Action This Day, Teo Torriatte, Misfire, Delilah, and Who Needs You?, just to name a few, I like them better than the first time. Sometimes it takes a second listen to develop an appreciation for their constant propensity to evolve. That's why I love QUEEN so much. Their music is still new & fresh today, not at all like old songs.
I saw QUEEN ROCK MONTREAL, & have never looked back! They BLEW me away!!!!!
I know what you mean there are songs heard first time but didn't give to much attention to but sat down and gave it a second chancces at sometimes they became the song I obssessed with.
rekoonsghjkl....Exactly! Like Man On The Prowl....that's my latest obsession! I heard it before once or twice a few months ago. Then when I heard it again, suddenly I just loved it....it's so nice and bouncy!
That's why Queen is so special....other bands might have 10-20 good songs, But with Queen, it's more like 87-98 Great ones!
Their early albums were so full of drama and diverse structures it just blows my mind away. Their only later album that comes close to this drama is innuendo which even excels in this field as a rather theatrical album in my opinion. They were the best. Heck they are STILL the best.
Who knew John Deacon was such a romantic guy?? Met him once -- backstage in 1980 during The Game tour at Forum Club. He was VERY nice and actually asked me, "So, did you enjoy the show?" What was I gonna say, no??? Only the best concert I'd EVER seen by the best band in the world!
It's good to see so many people appreciate one of the more unknown, obscure Queen songs. Truly a beautiful song. Check out "Don't stop me now" one of many GREAT Queen songs, let's not forget Long Away or Stone Cold Crazy... Not a Metallica song. Freddie was one of a kind. We are all one of a kind. Miss you Freddie

I think you make a fair point, but the drama is always there.
Maybe in The Works and A Kind of Magic it is more imagined than envisioned.
The drama isn't flaunted, so much as it tinges the song with a color of interpretation.
There is less of a storyline and more of the drama is left to the imagination.
There is a special quality in their latter albums, even as different as they are, in comparison to their 70's ones.
