  • GREAT WORK

  • you are very talented and I just want to say that I am honestly inspired by your work! keep the videos coming I learned from the kids styles. I need a little more creativity with the braiding. Thanks again you are great!

  • Beautiful, elegant, and great for special occasions! But dermatologists are now warning parents of African-heritage girls that long-term braiding causes a type of hair loss called "traction alopecia." A safer choice would be Sisterlocks, which takes advantage of super-curly hair structure, instead of pulling it tight. With Sisterlocks, the young ladies' own hair would grow to be waist-length by the time they are teenagers, without extensions.

  • these are cute

  • u r very good at what u do i really like alot of ur stylez! I am a kidz hairstylist as well check out my video response & subscribe!

  • thanks.

  • Beautiful!

  • thanks:) I appreciate the honest feedback.

  • WOW, that is just beautiful. I am just now learning on my daughters hair. I hope to be as good as you one day.

  • Yes i totally understand, thanks:)

  • Gorgeous!

Please be gentle with the little scalps. It always hurts my heart to see little girls with receding hairlines from tight pulling - causing permanent hair loss (traction alopecia). If the baby is crying or jerking, ease up. It's too tight. I remember being mistreated and called tender-headed for the harsh, heavy-handed styling of someone who wanted to braid my hair. That only happened a few times, but I never forgot it. Pulling never 'makes' the hair grow. Neither does grease. <3

  • Thanks, and I understand where you are coming from which is why I am always gentle when it comes to their hair. These children are my nieces and I would never continue to braid their hair if they were crying. I am also well aware of the fact that the excessive pulling of a child's hair or grease does not make their hair grow.

  • That's great to hear and just an important point to emphasize. Again, your work is excellent. You've got skills, lady!

  • @MamaTrina stop lying

  • OMG! You do beautiful work, lady!

  • thanks.

  • love your styles ,i have 3 girls and need all the help i can get!!!

  • thanks :)

  • Luv the Stylz !!

  • good job i braid too and i am always looking for new styles. your styles are very cute.

  • thanks.

  • too cute

  • shiiiit you needs to do my hair

  • Them styles were the business!

  • thanks :)

  • That was really good how do you do that?

  • Thanks, I cant really say how I do it because most of the styles I just made up.

  • That must have taken forever!lol

I tried to braid one small piece of my hair and it took me ages!lol

    awesome vid^_^

  • I can braid but I need more practice. I can't braid like you though. The best thing I can do is a little bad. But hopefully by the time I have a little girl id be able to braid as good as you.

  • my daughter has alot of baby hair around edges how do you catch tht up into braid

  • Depending on the length of the hair, it may not be possible. If it is long enough, you have to make sure that u do not braid the hair too tight, you dont want her edges to come out. it is also possible to leave the edges out and braid the hair so that it covers her edges.

  • press it out first.

  • they are so damn pretty

  • i wish i could braid like you, i was just lookin at the styles u did and they gave me some inspiration for my little sister!!!! ignore the people who say the hair is too tight, they obviously dont understand that something that looks tight does not mean it is tight....the hair is juast fresh and it settles in a few days.

  • thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • I have been lookin for some new ideas :-)

    Awesome work!!!

  • thanks, i appreciate it :)

  • AWSOME!

  • good job! theres always 1 ass or 2 who has a negative comment. keep doing you!

  • thanks:)

  • Some of the styles are cute but some really do look like they hurt. Sorry, that's just the way it looks from here. Maybe it's the lighting. I've been braiding my 2 year old's hair for about a year now and I was just looking for some new styles.

  • it may look that way, but I can assure you that it is not.

  • yeah you are, but why are you being so personal, im a fan of your work like everyone else.

  • i had no idea that i was being what you call "personal," i was simply replying to the comment you posted.

  • you are right every child is different, and different hair hair texture calls for certain stylesbut you get a little edgy with us how critic you. to me not knowing your kids hair it looks like hair loss and to some of the others on here viewing your vids. your work is beautiful and please understand when you blog all of is not going to 100 percent positive, some of it like mine was not negative , just some honest thought. keep doing what you do girl, i need some ideas for my daughters hair

  • I am well aware of the fact that all feedback is not positive. Everyone is entitled to their opinion which is why i do not delete anyones comments, but just like everyone else i am entitled to my opinion also.

  • love the braids but the kid hair apears to very thin or she has hair loss. maybe you need to not put braids in for a while. the sides of her hair are going to be gone. i know i was doing my niece hair alot in braids and slow her hair thinned out and the sides vanished, i didnt braid it for about 6 months and it came back in. also those beads are heavy. they can also aid in hair breakage on the ends.

  • Her hair is thin, it has always been thin, but it is definately not falling out and i do not think she will go bald either. She has been getting her hair braided since she was about 1, and i have never had any problems with er hair falling out. also, some beads are kind of heavy but as long as the hair is strong and shows no signs of breakage then beads are fine. Everychild is different and and different hair textures require different styles.

  • You braid like me. I try not to braid too tight but even when Im doing my own I braid very tight. You do very nice work. I let a friend braid my hair and its not tight at all but when you look at them you think they are. You have a wonderful gift and will def go far. God Bless!

  • Thanks, with all of the negitivity, it is refreshing to hear from someone that is not a hater.

  • very nice¡¡¡ i love it

  • These braids are hot!!! but they look too tight....the child looks like shes gonna go bald if you keep it up....and how does the child sleep at night with all them beads??? how about a little less??

  • well, i have been braiding her hair for years and all it does is grow. she does not mind the braids, they dont bother her at all.

  • Those styles look waaay too tight

  • Thanks for your opinion, but they are not.

  • that wikid i cn braid but i can only do plain braids so i want to learn how to do more !

  • that sum dred hairstyles

  • those braids are so creative. I can braid too but i have a hard time coming up with different haristyles. The ones i can do are really good though but i want to do something creative like you did.

  • thanks, are you going to put up some videos of your hair styles?

The best advice that i can give is to just experiment with different styles, as long as the braids are done neatly then it wont look bad. most of the styles that i do i just make up.

  • nice hair styles!

  • my favorite is 0:54,1:09,&1:21

  • mines tooo those were hot

  • 1:08 WAS MY FAV. i AM GOING TO "TRY" IT ON MY 1 YEAR OLD. CROSS YA FINGERS

  • girl you be working those fingers. I have three girls and i stay doing what i do.

  • thanks

  • It was ok, I think u over did the beads. .

  • They are kids, i dont know how you can over do beads;especially when some styles have little or no beads at all but um......ok

  • thanks

  • and the one at 1;06 seconds very nice

  • patrice this style right here at 06 seconds i want to learn how to do

  • ok, i will make the video on sunday.

  • Cute hairstyles. I'm tender headed though, I'd be crying, ha!

  • Patrice, I love your styles. Right now, I kinky twist my daughter's hair with marley braid, but I would love to braid her natural hair. I don't braid tight enough, but I'm always concerned that I might her her head. You should create a video showing how to braid a little girl's hair. Thanks.

  • I have never tried to do a tutorial but i will try to do one soon, , i recently just had a baby, he is 2 months now, but that is why i have not been putting out videos.

  • all those styles were absolutely kyute and for all the people talking about tightness duh there braids in order for them 2 look good of course there tight!!!!

  • thanks, people sometimes forget that's how braids are, and have always been, people have been getting braids for centuries, and i have yet to see braids that are supposed to be loose and sloppy, it defeats the purpose of putting them in so that they last for a few weeks, loose braids dont last.

  • thanks

  • You have amazing talent!! I'm tring to learn now that I have a 18month daughter, any tips to get me started??

  • hair has to get used to being braided so dont get discouraged if they come loose at first, once the hair is trained the braids will stay longer, singles are always good to start off in a young childs hair because they are not too tight.

  • you have real talent I love your styles!

     :p

  • I know this isn't a comment,, but how do you get your get your styles on you-tube. I am a licensed stylist and I have been braiding for years and I would like to share some of my work but don't know how to. Ps I wasn't critcizing the braids I just was concerned with the hairlines cause my clients hairlines don't look like its pulled so tightly and I figured you were braiding to tightly.

  • it's cool, you have to upload the video on to your computer first, if you are going to do a slideshow of pictures then you need some sort of software that will help you do so, i use windows movie maker.

  • I think that you should go easier on the hairline and temple areas, from the looks of the pics you are a skilled braider but that means nothing if you cannot keep your clients hair healthy. This is in no way criticism I just want you to know know that you have to braid accoedingly for all textures and looking @ the scalps and hairline that is traction alopecia

  • thanks for your concern, i have been braiding hair for over 15 years and every child who's hair i braid i have been braidig them since they had enough to braid, i always go easy on the sensitive areas of the head, but when everything else in their head is braided normaly it all tends to look like it is braided tightly.

  • they are cool.

    [L]!

  • I think the braids are great BUT it looks like they are TOO tight. I am just sayin.

  • cute styles i can do some but the trick is put sum cartoons un

  • I must say you are very talented! The styles are nice, they look a little painful in some places, but overall very good! I braid my daughter's hair but cannot bring myself to put a lot of beads on it. Anyway, great video :)

  • thanks, but it does not hurt them at all they love to get their hair braided.

  • yeah the first thing i thought was ouch!and im not even tender headed. the styles were nice, but there was too much scalp between the braids like the hair was coming out .my point is, take it easy on the little kids.

  • um,how can there be too much scalp, i am totally confused?

  • it just looks like the braids may cause the hair to come out at the scalp if they are too tight

  • yeah, i guess that could happen, but that has never happened to my girls.

  • i just put a new hair vid up myself :) io have a few braid/cornrow vids too and one of them had this vid in the "related vid" section. your styles are nice I love braiding too,...i just did 6 neighborhood's kids heads the other day.where do u buy ur beads?

  • i get them from the local beauty supply store here.

  • yeah, see our sally's and other ones don't have too many styles to choose from and those they have aren't too pretty. I usually have to go online for the fancier ones...makes me wanna go back to D(ominican)R(epublic) :)

  • yeah online would probably be a better choice for you, have you tried snapaholics?

  • that's where I get most my stuff from :)

  • great hair styles

  • thanks

  • WOW! I wish I had the talet to brade my litle girl's hair. But I just can't seem to do it. :(

  • What song is that playing?

  • thanks, the song is wonderful by marques houston

  • Girl you have a very creative talent! Those are beautiful.

  • Gorgeous, could you please tell me if you know where I could get some beads like this online,as Im based in the UK and the plastic ones dont give such a polished finish, Thanks x

  • this was awsome

  • thanks

  • wow you did good it is really nice

  • Very creative,where r u located?

  • Rochester NY

  • luv it

  • whats the name of the song in the background?

  • it's called wonderful by marques houston

  • AWESOME JOB!!

  • Dosent it hurt ya head because it luks tyt on er head bless er.. but very gudd and excellent work keep it up... nd did ya do it ya self ....***** 5 stars

  • No, it does not hurt them, they dont complain, they girls are ages 3, 6, and 9, and they love to get it done.
