i have the E-10 aswell... not stock anymore.. i installed a speed passion drift turbo 9.5 turn brushless motor... with matched ESC alloy drive shaft alloy racing shocks new wheels and softer compound drift tires also mounted a 1970 plymouth cuda body rediculously fast and drifts really well bad point.. have to replace battery connections.. standard tamiya plugs overheat and melt together.. in the end its a great drifter oh and nice song choice... though i would have chosen FANSONG
Nice build on the car. I've used Deans zero loss and Traxxas TRX connectors. I like the Deans more but Traxxas is easier to solder. Good luck with it.
decided to step up to the big boys... got a XRAY T2R....premium racing chassis..
turns out its shit
went back and got a Tamiya TT-01D
put the 9.5T motor and esc from the E-10 in the tt-01 and got a few parts... its rather strong and only had a few minor problems... id say if ur gonna drift... get a TT-01
yeah i replaced the gears a few times but kept on stuffing up.
sounds like you had to spend alot of money to find the right car. After the E10 kept on shitting itself, I got a colt. its soooo good and works well its belt driven, drifts and races. just have to change the tyres and its easy as that.
my mate has a TT-01D and just recently put a 9T motor in it, it works as good as my colt. Would only recommend a smaller motor in the E10 something like a 15T motor in it. :)
lol... since i was drifting on an enclosed track... i hit the sides every now and again, and every time pretty much i broke either a sub- axle or the rear diff i then upgraded to the complete alloy rear diff but still broke axles
its a good car but not for how should i put it, rough drivers,oh and it doesnt come with good enough battery holders. it kept falling out.
if your going to get a fast motor id reccoment the EZRUN systems, faster and more powerfull then mine and much MUCH more tunable
Stock screws work. She put on the included wheel spacers because the body is 200mm instead of the 190mm rx-7, so the wheels fill out the body properly.
There's not really any drifting. The car is the E10 Drift. It obviously isn't set up for drifting in this video, sorry for the confusion. The bushes were covering a big rock, but no damage though!
ha lol

The E10 was like $179. Mustang body was about $30. Paint $8. Wheels and tires were around $40. Motor was $35.

Did you upgrade anything in the drivetrain?
1empyre 3 years ago
nice looking car- did you just mount those wheels on the car by the stock e10 screws, or did you have to change anything else?

i think a hole in the windshield won't help, but i don't know.
RacingParadiseRacer 3 years ago
yeah that's much faster than that stock hpi motor...
RacingParadiseRacer 3 years ago
It seems to be running hot so I will add a heat sink, maybe put a hole in the windshield or something...
