This is probably a really super good softball player. So shut your mouth and get a life. Y'all probably don't have a clue about softball now do u if u do then send me ten things that you know. Get it got it good. 😏
@danaxoxo2009 You are not 76 pounds cause i saw your videos & you look very fat and im skinny & 11 i weiqh 88 pounds , you have blubber thats way too much for you to be 76 pounds #Df,ishhWrunqqWhiddPeople .?
The only problem I have with this video is she changes her position in the "batters box" for the outside pitch. In an actual game, you won't know in advance if the pitcher is going to throw an outside pitch. The batter should remain in the same position in the "batter box" despite what type of pitch may be thrown.
That's because she's making sure she's getting the ball at the right contact point, if she was batting she would always be in the same position but her body turns to the different contact points (Out, Middle, In, etc)
you do NOT swing with arms fully extended, you stay short to the ball(elbows bent and braced, back elbow comes to the side of the body, leading to the ball) and then you extend through the ball after contact.
@eymyjp "hands inside the ball" means keep your hands inbetween yourself and the ball... my hitting coach explained it to me and i get it... i just dont know exactly how to explain it... just remember "knob to the ball"
they use to teach elbow up but that has changed.its hard to line up knuckles and elbow up.so drop your elbow and form and A shape.its more comfortable and works better.more whip and rotation of the bat.i also coach but also just an opinion.thanks.
About the arm thing. Some coaches find it beneficial to keep your arms relaxed. For some players it actually hurts to swing with your knuckles in the right position and your elbows up. If you think about it you drop your elbows anyway so it gets rid of a step.
I use to keep my elbow up and it used to be very uncomfortable. I stopped and I started feeling more comfortable in the box and at practice.
She hit the tee at moments when you're really not supposed to because when you are hitting off of a tee you try to focus on a stitch/top of the softball so u can hit at least a line drive.
@6898roxurworld Coaches with no experience teach you to keep your elbow up. When you keep your elbow up it won't create the correct path your bat and hands need to hit the ball effectively. You can keep your elbow up or anywhere you want but when you're ready to hit your elbow should be in a relaxed "A" position.
@cjavie well i think i would know if i am supposed to or not. my father almost played for major league baseball but declined and my softball team only lost two games out of the season as well as winning everygame in the state championship. i know what im doing but thanks anyway...and my coaches have PLENTY of expirience
@6898roxurworld Just because your dad "almost" played major league BASEBALL, does not mean he knows the correct way to hit a softball. I played professional softball in the NPF, so I may know a thing or two on how to swing a bat. I was simply telling you the correct and scientifically proven way to hit a softball. I have played at the highest level of softball in this country and do not need advice from someone in middle school.
@ssblue52 You can start your swing with your elbow up or anywhere you want, but when you are "ready to hit" your elbow should be in a relaxed "A" position. This will help you to keep your hands inside the ball and prevent you from rolling your hands over and pulling everything. Your goal when hitting off a tee or even front toss, is to always hit the ball to the opposite field or up the middle. This will teach you to have quicker hands on inside pitches.
This is probably a really super good softball player. So shut your mouth and get a life. Y'all probably don't have a clue about softball now do u if u do then send me ten things that you know. Get it got it good. 😏

There's accully four basic steps.
1.your at rest.
2.when the pitcher presents the ball, you raise it up,
3.then you load.with step,(as ball leaves hand)
4.swing with arms fully extended.

haha... back elbow up is what beer drinking little league coaches taught back in the 80s. Kids will never align their knuckles in that position.

oldmanfunk, you must still be playing ball in the 80's. Nobody puts there elbow up any more. I'm sure this coach knows a hella more than you.
noscope1 1 year ago
IMO, this is a horrible example of proper technique.
To much rearward arm movement to get into power position.
Minimize & simplify. Get that left elbow up. I will say this, she has nice bat speed.
I would recommend using a right hand batter in the future when teaching others considering 95% of the players are right handers.......
