if you plan on getting any pet rodents, get them as young as you can possibly get them because them older ones have a disposition for people but the younger ones are used to being around people and they are very affectionate.

it depends. every animal bites. if an animal is

angry or scared, it's going to bite you.

i used to have mice, and my first mouse was very affectionate, and would not ever bite anyone, but after she died, i got another one that almost bit my finger off.

all rodents bite! and hamsters are pretty significantly bigger than mice, so if you want to buy bigger cages, go ahead. :)

Usually it depends.

First, if you haven't had the mouse for a few days, it is normal for it to be quite timid of you. This means it will be more compelled to bite.

If you've had it for about a week or more, it's likely overly aggressive, and it WILL be harder for the mouse to become used to you.

However, if you take it out at least once a day, eventually it will become used to you, and you'll have lots of fun taking care of it.

Once it's gotten used to you, wait about 2 months and get it

and get it a friend. Mice are animals that like to live with one another, and can often get lonely or depressed alone. Make sure, though, that you give the same love and care to that new mouse, because otherwise, it will tend to stick to being buddies with your first mouse, and will most likely never gain your trust.
