@seanny19 So what's the personnel, man??? These guys are smokin'! Must have a been a blast to mix this show!
jacobydn 9 months ago
@jacobydn Unfortunately I cannot recall names. I only know the aux percussion is Joe Caploe.
Yes, this is still one of my favorite shows to have mixed. I would jump on the opportunity to work with Jeff again!

Does anyone know the personnel here?

@jacobydn Yes, I mixed this. I was not aware that a video was being made. Which explains the crappy audio :(
I actually just found this video. This show was in Feb 2009.
i swear its a bit slower than when the flecktones play it. overall good performance but as someone else said before the flecktones are way groovier

3:12 to 4:25 is why I listen to Jeff Coffin.
Ficalos 1 year ago
@Ficalos Totally!! 3:51 where the bassist drops into that P-Funk vibe? FUCK.
Vic definitely grooves way more, but I dig these drums way more than futureman's. The percussion is bomb too

I think i got it! He breaks it up into 3 time signatures! 4/4, 3/4, and 3/8!!! Catastrophically Awesome!!!! Therefore making it really, 17/8!!!!

17/8 ??? is that the time sig?
@JazzMike88 Yes, I was there, he asked the crowd if they could guess, it is infact 17/8.

AAHH!!! What is the time signature!!!???
@JazzMike88 17/8
With all respect to the members of the Mu'tet, this just isn't as groovy as the Flecktones version.
Still, thanks for posting this, I always wondered what Mu'tet looks and sounds like.

who is that on guitar?
Cerpa05 2 years ago
@Cerpa05 Mike Seal--University of Tennessee recent grad. Not sure how he got connected with Jeff, but he's pretty awesome.
This version doesn't sound right. I've seen this same version of the Mu'tet (well, without the percussion dude) and it's sounded much better.
