@hoopgirl245 Hi, unfortunately, we will not be reviewing the S1000fd as it is one of our older camera, however you can watch this video (S1500) as it is very similar plus couple of updates. You can check out our website and download the emanual to learn more about the camera. Also you can ask us any specific questions you have on the camera.
hey fujiguys, im looking for a new camera. i have the choice of the s1500, or the s1730. im comparing them, which one would you prefer? and is it any good at capturing moving objects in the air? answer ASAP
@LouisEggStreet S1500 is a discontinued model replaced by newer models like the S1730. There is a highspeed shooting mode on the camera to allow you to take numerous photo's in a short amount on time so this should work out for you (8fps shooting).
@littlegismo9 This is normal. Even DSLRs with an HD video feature have this during recording. To reduce noise, you can minimize the amount of zooming and panning that you do during quiet scenes of whatever you are filming.
which is the best filter/lens adaptor to Fuji S1500?
I'm going to take some out side pictures, and would like to use some filter to control the sky bright. I'm findind difficult to look for the most suitable adaptor for S1500.
Could you help me? I'm from a group of amateurs photographs and around 15 mates have the same question.
You should think of a cool move to go along with "together we're the Fuji guys"! Power Ranger style! Anyway, thanks for the great vid! I'm getting this camera for my birthday!
I have a Nikon D40 and this fujifilm camera. I normally use my Nikon for more serious/professional looking pictures. I take a wide variety of pictures, and this fujifilm camera can handle almost everything my Nikon can. I especially like the panorama and the super macro (real upclose picture taking capability) features alot. I'd definitely give this camera a shot if you want to start getting into photography, great friendly user interface
@samharrison2 Tracking Auto Focus only works out of the "Auto or SR Auto" mode. "P" mode is similar to "Auto" mode, set it there first. Then while the camera is in the shooting mode, press menu, navigate down to "AF Mode", then select "Tracking" in the submenu.
When using "tracking AF", aim at the object and press halfway down. Keep the button half way down, as the subject moves, the cursor will follow. Press the shutter all the way down to take the picture.
i need your opinoin my friends want to sell nikon d70 to me i want to know with one have better picture nikon d70 or fujifilm s1500.nikon to expensive and fuji s1500 cheap. i like to take bird picture in jungle.if compare this two camera with one better.i need your help.please.
@mapiababy The D70 would give you some flexibility in the future as you can buy different lenses for it. The advantage of the S1500 is that it is an all-in-one camera with a great zoom range. Since there is nothing else you need to buy for it you will save a lot of money.
For quality, SLR's will typically give you better picture quality, but it will depend on the type of lenses you use.
Unless the D70 includes a long zoom, a lens with a telephoto zoom like the S1500 will cost $400-$800.
The S1500 and S1500FD are the same camera. Depending on who is talking about the camera, they may refer to it as the S1500FD or just the S1500. The FD refers to the camera's face detection feature. Sometimes this is not included in the camera name to keep it shorter.
The S1500 is a DSLR-style camera which is a bit larger than compact cameras by design and not small enough to fit in your pocket. You are better off using a backpack or neckstrap to carry a camera like this around to ensure its safe & secure.
Both are great cameras, the major difference for you to consider would be the fact that the S2000 shoots HD pictures and videos. The S2000 is slightly quieter if you will be doing zooming during video shooting, however most videos are shot without zooming during recording or audio is edited in post-production.
Hope that helps you out, let us know if you have any other questions!
2- That is correct, you cannot put a lens hood on the S1500
3 - You can certainly take a photo from the first press by pushing down all the way. When the button reaches the halfway point it prefocuses and exposes the shot. It is recommended to first press the shutter button halfway down as it allows for more control and reduces shutter lag. But you can certainly take pictures with one press, this is how all digital cameras function.
Yeah, I've had it for about a week now. Great camera. The only disappointment is the constant clicking in video mode from focusing, and when you zoom it is very noisy and the microphone picks it up.
can u review the s1000fd?i purchased 1 and still dont know all it does because the manual was lost and its no longer available on the website

@jotaceme84 Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there is no lens thread on the S1500 so it cannot accept any filters.

No it's just a look-a-like cause it does have a tonne of zoom so it looks like a SLR but it's just a digital still camera with 12x Optical zoom.

hi fujiguys: could you pls tell me the same like the question from Paddys about the pro's and cons for S1500 and S2000HD thx in advance
HKG36E 2 years ago
I can't decide between the s1500 and s2000hd. Can I ask:
1) Which camera is the better purely for photography?
2) Does the HD on the s2000 really give it an advantage in picture quality?
3) Zoom. I don't really mind if I don't have 15x over 12x, so would the 12x be better quality because it's not a superzoom lens?
4) the s2000hd has a wide lens fitting more into an image. does this give it an advantage over the s1500?
Thanks alot I really appreciate any help :]

@fujiguys This one is actually about the warranty, if i was to buy a refurb on ebay with the Manufacturer Warranty, will the warranty still be Valid?
I was looking into the S2100HD and There doesnt seem to be any info on it, on the FujiGlobal website.

Hi ZakR092, unfortunately you cannot use any detachable lenses with the S1500 camera.
