NPR is very good at remaining unbiased and has not turned its back on its listeners. The liberal stereotype has little grounding. It plays to an educated audience, or at least to people who wish to learn. Its not sensationalistic, so maybe thats why it seems draws a certain audience. But, do you want them to do trashy reality tv-type shit? NPR draws people who like information over hype, like a library does....but that doesnt make it classist. Also, they dont like having to have corp. sponsors.
