  • starts spooling at 6K? Try hits full boost around 6K and when your car is revving to 10 grand that leaves you plenty of room... This is obviously a track car. Personally I wouldn't go any bigger than a 35r but I have a street car. But then again anything over 600hp on FWD (IMO) is over kill. Unless you like breaking free at 60+ MPH on a 4th gear roll... I do get where you're coming from though.

  • Not all FI cars run that compression. Many Hondas run 9.5:1 and above. The key is fuel and tuning. Low static compression gives more of a safety cushion of detonation from a more aggressive tune.

  • lol.... let me guess you looked up the stock spec's of the car?!?!?!? lol don't know anything about building high horse power motors for honda's, if your running a gt40 + your going to need at least 2.0l or high conpresseion setup 10-11 to 1 and a rev limit of at least 9k just to have some spool time.

If you have ARP main studs and bolts, head lift won't be an issue, and with strong titanium valves and beehive springs, titanium retainers, anything is possible. I'm a DSM'er, so I don't know what's around for puss honduhs, but you can always make more power.

  • agree'd 1000% hondas are slow because they dont have the torque in the top end where needed, which the big turbos like this one do need low end torque to make up for the 'Turbo lag' this car would probably pull 13's in the 4th just because of turbo lag.
