  • 2 people had neither valor nor dignity

  • I dont care what anyone has to say. The Guard will always be better than the Eldar.

  • @abdde10001 Those are Eldar?

I thought they would be taller.

  • I'd take valor over dignity anyday on the battlefield! D:<

  • you have very good taste in music for these cutscene i thought they were part of the game until i read the description, well done.

  • Ok how do you get this scene or whatever in the game?

  • With how I roll:"give me 1000 men crazy enough to conquer Hell, and we'll do it" I'm a Guard General in TT, I lead my soldiers into Hell, and we usually win.

  • Emo aliens. I mean come on, her words sucked. I have the eldar codex and they have some rather egnimatic badass quotes, but this is just pathetic. FOR VALOR! Colonel Commissar Ibram Gaunt, commissar Ciaphas Cain (lucky bastard, he's also the god of self-preservation slacking off and gets away with it, don't spoil it for me I haven't read Cain's Last Stand) Commissar Yarrick, Commissar Holt, I'd follow those men into satan's throneroom

  • 0:31

Farseer : indeed sisters stand strong show these h-..... I SAID STAND DON'T SIT!

  • "SHOW THESE ALIENS THE MEANING OF VALOR!" *Ig faces the opposite direction in attention*

  • @firelord699 They are preparing for the enemy to come from the other side, while the Eldar protect their side.

  • Dawn Of War 8-)

  • I find it kind of a poetic end. Both the Imperium and the Eldar have potential to be powerful allies, but neither one understands the other. In this end, however, they both have something to teach each other: Humanity's intense valor and determination that gained them their place as the greatest empire among the stars; and the Eldar, whose dignity and grace are preserved even as they near extinction.

  • As the Farseer said "show these humans the meaning of dignity" one of my looted tanks fired a volley at them and sent them flying.

    Commisar: Nice demonstration

  • how can anyone not like this?

  • Just asking, but after that war was over, could guardsmen mate with Eldar? To make guardsdar babies?

  • @unit529 maybe but I doubt they'd want to since canonically the eldar stabbed them in the back and got their general killed.

  • @unit529 Think about it this way: would you mate a Gorilla? the Eldar see Humans as such literally, with only certain Humans gaining Eldar respect.

The Eldar see us as we see animals.

  • Its hard to decide between sturnn and his commisar there both just..... badass

  • Show this alians meaning of VALOR!...Hellyea!!! badass....cry it:D...

in faarseer head....hmmi must say something awesome too......Show this humans meaning of dignity....FTW? what?....im laughting how Eldars are pathetic compared to IG....Sturm supreme:)

  • @Mishai87 would of been great to see the dark eldar come in and ruin it all :D

  • @Mishai87 the eldar aren't truly dieing because of those stones, so they must focus on the other thing that sets them apart from the young races. eldar have a strange code of honor, deal with it

  • @darkprophet1629 Honour can be twisted into many things...the Eldar treat all over races with comtempt simply for being younger - being younger gives them a stupid edge and lack of knowlage, which the Eldar not only find it hard share, but when they did, it almost always to late and its in the form of a riddle which pisses everyone off, and when nobody figures out wtf there talking about, they get all pissy. Thats not Honour...

  • @Mishai87 frankly the imperial guard had a stereotypical line about valor the eldar sounded awesome

"Indeed sisters, standstrong... show these humans the meaning of valor"

  • @ValkyrieCaine lol typo I meant DignityXD

  • Why the hell where the developers thinking when they let these alien scumbags win the campaign and when they killed off one of the greatest characters in Dawn of War History. Where they drunk or something?

  • @DarkDan158 Because..the Eldar lose left and right and I guess they had a moement of pity for them, especially since it sort of a waste..its not like they don't have a good bit of devolopment and all but in dow..they just suck so bad as whole. They really need to be able to ake hits. Thank god they have harlequins.

  • @Sulvuss the eldar are not designed for direct fighting they are more stealth and hit and run tactics

  • @ValkyrieCaine This is true and at this when used correctly, especially with dragons and warp spiders if you can sneak a webway to their base you can pretty much desimate the enemy in seconds..but it dosen't make up for their lack of hits, even their banshees suck and their the melee group. You need somthing sturdy to defend you're growing attack and sabotage groups. That when the harlequin helped things alot in DC as they simply stalled the enemies squads.

  • @Sulvuss you are right though they cant take hits verywell so I just generally go full stealth and avoid wasting resources on banshees

  • @ValkyrieCaine Even at full stealth the Eldar are disadvantage against Player enemies. As soon as they discover you're base they drown you in bulwark. The only hope for the Eldar is to one stall, then stealth then relocate repeatively across the map, making the enemies go on a hunt. Then you strike quickly when its clear that foes are gone to fight each other. Thats when their weak and you end their base with haywire and dragons.takes extreme percision though. Makes Eldar a hard race for sure.

  • @Sulvuss yeah guerilla tactics spacemarines are easier I just entrench my guys and go charging past the enmy line into their base then orbital deepstrike and bombard them to deathXD

  • @ValkyrieCaine True, the space marines are perhaps one of the most balanced race next to Imperial guard in game. The space marines though are cheapend and downplay due to everyone copying and trying to use the space marine design in their own games. I like space marines but..Imperial Guard could deck them. Just defend..then attack, needs turrets first. Imperial guard could kill everyone actually..if you can build the paitence for defense stance and manage to survive the first few minutes,

  • @Sulvuss yeah and their morale sucks if you dont reinforce it they are actually one of the stronger races in the proper hands

  • @Sulvuss yeah people say the IG are rubbish but they are really good when they have high morale and a good player telling them what to do.

  • @Sulvuss I've had CPU on CPU matches with each one on max difficulty. Imperial Guard almost always comes out on top.

  • @Sulvuss kl 4 eldar i normaly do 2 banshee squads 3 dragon squads 3 warp spiders 1 seer council with farseer avatar fire prisms n night wings or if i get a portal in the wraith lords n like u said it will kill anything very quickly the most damage is if u got a gate near every enemy so when they cum at u just go bak to the gate n appear on the other side n carry on attacking the only thing that can keep up with u r drop pods with eldar its really is hit quick hit hard and hit often

  • When I was playing as orcs on this mission, i used most of my army as a diversion (since my squiggoth got stuck) and used a jump pack squad to fly over to the gate and I won.

  • Valor and Dignity....

  • ENOUGH TALK, GO TO FIGHT!

  • She reffered to some of her men as sisters.

    :<

  • The eldar is the reason slaneesh is alive, there race is dieing out, and why the humans hate them even in the dark ages where humanity LIKED aliens. Yet they think themselves higher then any other race. I personaly find it funny how contradicting they are which is why I like watching them lose. It severly bruises their ego.

  • wtf? fire dragons are not sisters XD !!

  • damnit These IG are nothing but heretics for allying themselves with xeno trash

  • The comissar, in my opinion, actually is showed a sign of actual sadness. Even he, the supposedly unbreakable military leader, is still human. "My last battle...."

It makes me sad, but it also reminds us that Comissars are still human, just like the guardsmen and you and me.

  • The commisars speech sounded better seriously who cares about dignity when your gonna die in five minutes!?

  • @Hound419 you know nothing about eldar, don't you? honor and dignity are all they have.

  • @darkprophet1629 Well thy could have said something a little more inspiring than just 'dignity'!

  • @Hound419 well, eldar approach all things logically. and the worst thing to call then is clumsy or graceless.

  • Commissar has the hots for Sturnn

    Then again, who doesn't?

  • What is this Commissar's name?

  • He was under the credits as "The Comissar" xD

  • LOL, I thought a commissar so bad ass like Sturnn would have gotten a proper name!

  • Guardsmen107892: Commissar, sir, what is your name sir?!

Commissar: My name is man with the laspistol, what difference does it make?

Guardsmen107892: Sir, it would help make you seem slightly more Human? More approachable to the men. It would make your job easier, sir.

Commissar: *Shoots Guardsmen107892 in the head* I am not here to look Human to you! Nor to be easy! I am a Commissar here to keep you loyal and in line!

Guardsmen017654: Dude, we were just saying. My Emperor!.... Sheesh!

  • SHOW THESE ALIENS THE MEANING OF VALOR!

If that's not badass, then i honestly don't know what is.

  • ig "Show these aliens the meaning of valor!"

eldar "Stand strong. Show these Humans the meaning of dignity"

both quotes are full of badass in my opinion!

  • Dignity? The Eldar have no dignity and no integrity and no honor. They deserve to be wipped out! Look at where their manipulations have put humanity and even their own race! For example, the Tyrranid Wars where the Eldar messed with the human defenses and tried to use the orks to fight us because they wanted to try and stop the tyrannids by themselves.

    FILTH!

  • Comment removed

  • Thats heresy, I'm calling the Inquistion!

  • The Inquisition - Nobody Expects Us!

  • Right on

  • @midgetydeath

I totally agree with them plus they do not fight for nobel caouses. They fight for there survival.

  • the commissar really misses Sturn so sad

  • what happened to Sturn?

  • @RepublicCustoms he was killed by Gorgutz.

  • commissars voice owns =)

  • What is the music?

  • The Number 23 - 09 - Atonement

  • @BigDickCheney i can't find it

  • @BigDickCheney i can't find the music :(

  • @darkprophet1629 PM me I can email you the song.

  • @BigDickCheney hey wich mission is this last one?

  • @ArugalSwe Second last mission for Orks/Chaos.

  • the humans could win the whole war if it abides xeno exsistance the imperials tau and eldar are powerful force but all they got to do is to trick the orks into being there allys like chaos did in the first dow hire a couple of dark eldar mercenaries then orks can ave fun wiv the nids imperials and eldar can fight chaos necrons and the d eldar and tau can help 2who ever then trick the orks into attacking the tau kill the winner then it just imperials vs eldar 1 prob tho sum farseer might 4 see it

  • You would only need to provide Orks an enemy to satiate their battle lust, then they'd be wonderful allies(Guard commander do it quite often)

Eldar are too arrogant to ally with, Tau, ah, if only the Inquisition wasn't there to screw things up.

  • God... Where was this Commissar in Soulstorm? We could have had an inspiring example of a man who stood firm even against an endless tide of aliens and heretics, all the while inspiring his men to fight on in the Emperor's name.

Instead, Soulstorm gives us a grumbling idiot who couldn't inspire his way out of a wet paper bag.

  • Yeah, but the best Imperial Guard commander and probably one of the best commanders in the dawn of war series is General Sturnn, he is just legendary, his voice and his attitude and vocabulary :P

  • He is one of the best. Lukas Alexander was a politician who happened to have graduated from a military academy. Stubbs was the closest thing the Imperium has to an idealist.

But only Sturnn is a true general and only a general.

  • I think they should add Commissar Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium, and his aide Jurgen to one of the games.

  • Yeah, and he has poor morale but his men become fearless like Berzerkers, if some troops Cain was attacked to, Cain becomes enraged and proceeds to fight like a lord of Khorne, lol.

  • And extra hitpoints. Since Cain always manages to find the enemies weakpoint, be it by dumb luck or cunning strategy, and hit them where it truly hurts.

  • "Very good General"

  • lol, and its the same for the commanders, Stubbs is nothing compared to Sturnn, and many thought Lukas Alexander wasnt any good, but I liked him, but there seems to be a general decline in the IG leadership over the course of the games (tbf all the leaders in Soulstorm are jokes)

  • imperium+ tau+ eldar.....tht seems the only alliances tht could work in the warhammer 40k universe

  • The forces of order fighting against the forces of disorder. Unfortunately it hasn't happend

  • The Imperium vs. Tau+Eldar? I'm right there with ya! Ha ha ha! No seriously the Imperium will never side with xenos. The best you can hope for is cease fires and secret military pacts like the Coven of Isha.

  • Try orks and dark eldar. I could see an ork warlord allying with a dark eldar cabal to destroy a tau sect because orks are about war thats all rlly and dark eldar are practically the exact opposite perhaps more so then chaos cultists and traitor legions. The tau stad for good and order and civilization. The dark eldar are debased marauding ruthless murderous pirates who see them as there exact opposite.

  • pity... eldar and humans can cooperate. eldar just want to lay waste to necrons while the emp wants to kill everything evil.

  • i agree with u lolaroflmao. they could. and its nice to see them, well sort of cooperating.

  • the reason the imperium is fighting the eldar is because the eldar fired the first shot if you know what i mean!!they started they presume evert race in the galaxy is a threat so they blast it!!but they made one of the most powerfull of foes!!the mighty imperium of man!!!!

    FOR THE EMPORER!!!

  • Actually Eldar an Humans were allies preheresy times. One of the farseers had a vision with the Horus heresy and tried to warn the Emperor but he saw in these accusations nothing more than a great insult and betrayal so he started the war with the Eldar (and thousands of eldar got killed). Funny enough the farseer was right, horus betrayed the Emperor and the Eldar never trusted humans again after they got slaughtered for trying to help the Imperium.

  • Its no wonder Empires fail.

  • Eldar and Imperium were never more than aloof at best in PreHeresy, and violent enemies the rest of the time. The Emp didn't really have a reason to trust an alien over his favored son and he knew the Eldar always have their own agenda. So, he just ignored them. He didn't start a war over it or anything, just continued with his Crusade, and if the Eldar were in the way.... PEW! PEW!

Of course, that whole account of Eldrad warning the Emp came from a Scout during "interrogation" so who knows

  • Eldar: They are no more evil than a parent telling their 5 year olds not too eat too much candy. But to the child's mind , thats pretty evil. Secondly doesn't everybody have an agenda of murder and destruction in warhammer....at least the Eldar act when something very bad for everyone is going to happen. They are fickle, etc but

  • No the Eldar and Imperium were never "allies" at best they tolerated each other's existence. The Emperor took many Eldar colonies during the Great Crusade including some of the last established Eldar colonies that formed the border of their old empire. When the farseer sent the message it sent it to Magnus who forwarded to the Emperor but when he did so the Emperor got pissed and sent Leman Russ to apprehend Magnus.

  • Leman Russ was convinced by Horus that Magnus was the true arch heretic and told him to kill Magnus instead that he was plotting against the Emperor (which was a lie by the way) Russ descended on Prospero with all the might he could muster and a huge battle raged. Russ standing tall over Magnus's broken body prepared to deliver the killing blow at the last second Magnus whispered a incantation...

  • Teleporting himself, his legion, and his city into the Warp. When he did so he indrectly committed himself and all he had to Chaos. Tzeentch took note of Magnus's psychic power and Magnus pledge himself and his legion to the worship of Tzeentch. During the Heresy the loyalist's would rue betraying Magnus for the Thousand Sons used their formidable psychic powers to horrible effect during that unholy war.

  • So this is the real story! Thank you for the information! :)

  • Your welcome did you know Eldrad himself sent the warning? :XD

  • At least Warhammer 4000k is honest about having human looking aliens. Mass Effect has all those stupid ingame articles explaining the background yet they still have tentacle headed babes with major tits running around. Try explaining that bioware.

  • Commisar- "Prepare yourselves men Show these aliens the meaning of valor"

    -Imperial Guard salute

Farseer Taldeer- "Indeed sisters stand strong show these humans the meaning of dignity"

    Eldar- bow down

if thats not dying bravely in the warhammer universe i don't know what is

by the way anyone have anyidea what the music is i think i've heard it before somewhere

  • I doubt the imperium would tolerate such actions! Unite with the eldar? I'd rather not risk it! after all the imperiums plans are to wipe out all zenos!

  • that not always the case sometimes when the threat is big enough they will unite with the sm and ig the master of the ultramarines teamed up with the eldar to take out the tyranids when they attacked ultramar if eldar lack the forces they will call on the imperial to team up vs chaos cos they know they can fight them instead of say the girly tau this is just another example of yh were 1 of ur enemies but they r worse so lets team up to make it fair grounds ig and the marines vs orks and chaos

  • When the situation is dire, sometimes Tau, Imperium, and Eldar make brief alliances with each other.

    Sometimes.

    Briefly.

    The Imperium's motto is simple:

The Enemy of my Enemy.... DIES NEXT.

  • Good motto

  • The choice of music just enhances an already epic moment. Phenomenal choice.

  • DOW 2 was a total crap!

As i said in another comment i posted if DOW 1 had the covering system of DOW 2 (And for some of you the graphics) I'd never had bought DOW2

  • Amen,Staring death in the eyes and dying with dignity and a weapon in your arms.

Making the price of your life worth the blood it is written in.

  • Again, a brilliant choice of music. It fits this scene so perfectly, good work man.

The tragic scene of courage against all odds.... shortly before the player stomps all over them with their Waaarrgghhh (or chaos humies, whatever).... truely epic stuff :)

  • I love this scene. Truly epic and heartfelt. Too bad DoW2 was a pile of shit poo next to its predecessor.

  • how the fuk are they gunna move tht Titan when its powered up ? lol

    and its in pieces

  • It would be able to walk when its fixed up.

  • Too bad sturnn is already dead... He was awesome. Very wise and full with valor he's my favorite character in winter assault (and maybe the entire series, after Gorgutz)

  • Who know's maybe they'll change cannon and bring him back. They did it with the space dwarves and they can do it again.

  • wait these could be Ulthwe @_@... im not sure anymore.

  • Never trust the Eldar for they are deceptive. If I'm not mistaken these were Biel-Tan Eldar who are rather xenophobic and are infamous for helping many an Imperial (or any non-Eldar specie) defeat a common threat only to massacre their allies upon victory.

  • These Eldar were from Ulthwe whose main enemy are the Necrons.... Ulthwe forces tend to ally with the Imperials in order to defeat a stronger foe if such a foe exists in the current battle. In this case there was a stronger foe. I know these Eldar were from Ulthwe because they are led by Taldeer herself. The Eldar from the original Dawn of War, the planet Tartarus, were from Biel Tan led by Farseer Macha.

  • Ulthwe eldats main enemy is chaos because there situated near the eye of terror and under constant chaos attack

  • Practically in it's front driveway. Though there was one craftworld actually swallowed by the Eye and then was pulled out some millenia later. I wonder how they survived 10,000 years at the mercy of Chaos.....

  • Maybe they havn't survived as eldar... but i herd of that craftworld

  • I think they did on the Lexicanum page for that Craftworld it says "They are treated with suspicion by the other Craftworld Eldar."

  • Doesn't wraithbone provide some kind of psychic shield?

  • Yes, very much so. Wraithbone is solidified Warp energy that comes in the form of a crystaline substance. It is then molded via psychic ability into any shape you want. Wraithbone (presumably due to Eldar rituals) emits a sympathetic psychic signal that Eldar can lock onto psychically. Wraithbone is used to form the skeleton of Eldar ships, for communications, weapon development, all kinds of things.

  • ...In ship construction Wraithbone is used as the ship's skeleton (framework and bulkheads) this gives the ship a very sturdy material to be built upon while also allowing the ship's framework to double as comms & power conduits. The Wraithbone skeleton is constructed & then the outer and inner hull is put on top of it. The ships crew basically gives commands the Wraithbone of the ship and the ship's Wraithbone does the practical work meaning the ship is a psychic entity controlled by the crew.

  • Whatever happened to Farseer Macha?

  • Don't know, she supposedly survived the Tartarus incident after she failed to stop Gabriel from destroying the Maledictum thus releasing a Daemon refered to in game as the "Avatar of Khorne." Now Macha runs off swearing revenge against Gabriel for the evil he set in motion thus far. In the books he apparently becomes buddy buddy with the Eldar who refer to him as "Gabriel of the Hidden Heart." But aside her getting back to her ship and breaking away moments before the Warp Storm arrived...

  • ....I can't say, though I know Gabriel survived as he supposedly appears in Dawn of War 2. Haven't played it myself yet, I look forward to it. In all likelihood Macha survived though she left at the last possible second with Gabriel departing soon after. So she should be ok she most likely returned to Craftworld Biel Tan and probably took her War Host elsewhere not long after the Tartarus incident... Maybe she'll return in Dawn of War 2 expansion? I hope so I rather have her then Caerys.

  • DOW2 dissapoints if u don't have friends to play multiplayer and you've also finished the campaign....But perhapssss....Maybe all we need is..

    1 More maps

    2 Mod Tools

    3 Mods

    4 Expansions

    5 Chaos

  • I think I'd got shot at the academy. I think hating the Eldar just for being Eldar is just stupid. I prefer to hate only individuals that give me a reason to hate them. I'm not big on racism I take each entity on a case by case level. So I guess, if she was willing, I would work with her.

  • Can you say, why you hate eldars individuals?

  • Commissar: Then it comes to this. Facing my last battle with filthy aliens like yourself at my side, rather then valiant men like Sturnn.

Taldeer: Then appreciate the universe, Human. It possesses the strange ability to laugh in the face of our misfortune. Good luck to you.

Commissar: Prepare yourselves men, show these aliens the meaning of valor!

Taldeer: Indeed sisters, stand strong. Show these Humans the meaning of dignity.

  • The interections between uneasy allies are very interesting.

  • It was a great moment, imo. Taldeer is the queen of comebacks ;)

  • Valor! The Emporer Protects!

  • HERESY!

  • "Show these filthy aliens the meaning of VALOR!"

This game captured best the essence of the 40k world out of all of the dawn of war series and the great voice acting really brought the whole thing to life. Great game!

  • Once again the uncouth humans show that they r incapable of respect & honor. U r on ur last feet with a single ally by ur side & yet u r so stubborn, prejudiced & arrogant that u cannot accept the Eldar as such. Cmon man, at this last hour u can atleast respect ur ally...u dont have to love them.

  • but they did show honor.honor for the emperium. in ur last hour of death, isnt it best to die beleiving what youve beleived ur entire life?to die in the name of ur beliefs?

they respected the eldar by not killing them where they stood.

  • Really emetive

  • why dont they just use what they got to protect the titan surely the imps have a fleet in orbit to send renfocments

  • Highly unlikely at this point in time. If they didn't call for reinforcements by this juncture of the campaign then the fleet isn't there either that or they're idiots.

  • Lol either is a very real posibblity

  • It was an expeditionary fleet in the game, so they really only carry a regiment or two in order to provide security for colonization/securing the titan in this case.

    They were simply outmanned.

  • And they stood their ground. The first to strike were the orks. They were quickly cut down by the combined fire of the humans and eldar, but the traior marines had wisely let the stupid brutes empty the guard`s ammunition. for fifteen minutes they held, but they were slaughtered by the brutality of the ork`s cleavers and the chaos marine`s bolters. The commissar and the farseer were the last to fall, a mouintain of chaos marines and orks were piled around them.

    none would know their sacrifice.

  • this music gose well with the mood

  • "Prepare yourselves men! Show these aliens the meaning of valor!"

Sends chills down my spine whenever I hear this line, the voice acting for WA was great!

  • "Then it comes to this, facing my last battle, with filthy aliens like yourself at my side, rather then valiant men like Sturn."

Spoken like a true imperial commissar to the end.

  • honestly out of all the xenos species out there how are the ELDAR filthy?

  • well you have a piont there, but remember he has true faith,he thinks that eldar are just as filthy as orks

  • How are the Eldar NOT filthy? Yeah, they talk pretty. They appeal to pompous jackass elitist kids who think they're superior beings than anyone else.

But who created a universal god of Chaos by having a fuckin' sex orgy? Who constantly betrays their allies at every turn?

The Eldar are every bit as mortal as the rest of the mortal races. They're just deluded, conceded, and arrogant far beyond any other species in Warhammer. This reflects on their fan base well.

  • Everyone in the W40K universe is filthy fanatic lunatics...

  • They are all racists....Mass Effect kind of way

  • "specist" is a more apropiate word

  • As for the contrary the Imperial Guard appeal to fans that liked valor, order , honor , military and loyalty! And of course big tanks and shinny weapons!Long live the Imperial Guard.

  • he might as well have spat on her too.

  • I would have, she's just an eldar.not like she's totally important or anything

  • I would ask for a last "dance" if you know what I mean. I think Taldeer's voice is dreamy...

  • HERATIC!!!jk,jk,i think i would to

  • Yeah...But the Comissar's voice is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    inspiring..........

    COMISSARS

If there is something scary at the front, put something even scarier at the back! ;)

  • To ture

  • I believe that Sturnn was also victorious! Because if you read the Dawn of war novel Ascension, you will find that the Imperials secured the Titan and Taldeer was was temporarily taken prisoner by the Blood Ravens.

  • well novels and books are proberly more trust worthly then dawn of war

  • how do you get this ending

  • Play as Chaos or Orks and you'll see it.

  • I still say Sturnn won. Or at least survived. First Law of video gaming: if it didn't directly show their death, they didn't die.

I still can't get to that point the Ork side of the mission. The dang Landraider gets to the gate before I can swarm the Eldar base...

  • I think I have something in my eye

  • me too man...
