I see this everywhere, people are looking for answer, they look to these great men to give them the answer, yet they have the great story to live themselves and chicken out. They analyze the situation and back off due to fear. Just stop and live your own greatness out!!
amen to what the man said, and another way to say a similar thing: overcoming ungodly fear by forcing self to try a challenging godly thing just once—demystify your godly vision.
what about taking that first ride on the highest and fastest roller coaster in the world? scary at first, but then once you get that first terrifying ride behind you, it quickly becomes addictive, and there you are back in line again!
The bible says perfect love cast out all fear. Walk in the Love of G-d. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. Faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God.
@111michael11 this is why Jesus only took certain disciples with him when he wanted to raise someone from the dead. He didn't want anyone's fear to hinder the healing.
Does sympathy means "I feel so sorry for you and I hope you're gonna get well... I hope... I hope..." And it's a doubt on the Lord's goodness? And so...that affects?
Fear has to do with punishment... May the love of Christ dwell richly among healers & the ones who will be healed.
@lekristajojo , hey man, so what he's saying is the diff. is really all in perspective, it's all in what place you choose to act from. Sympathy: you act from a place of "you're right, you're situation IS so hopeless. i'm gonna b here and comfort you in a hopeless situation" And many times ppl pray from that perspective.
Compassion is: yeah, you're situation is bad but (1. God is good and (2. He's got the resources to change everything. I'm gonna bring you up here
@lekristajojo... in compassion u pray from a place of greatr confidence and awareness of who God is, hence the "I'm gonna bring you up here". W/ sympathy u have a greatr awareness of the problem and the situation and its hopelessnes, n' u pray from that place, which is y it blocks God moving, you're exalting somethin othr than Him. take note: he's not saying don't be aware of what's going on, jus be MORE aware of, or focus on, the God u serve and pray from compassion.
sympathy vs. compassion... wow!!
