  • So what evolved first, the platelets or the clotting factor?

  • Thanks!

  • im A nursing student and understand this now thanks to you! and I am a believer as well nothing is possible without Him . its awesome that you included that at the end. Beautiful job

  • Actually scientists are the ones who discovered how this works, not god

  • Thanks so much for making me understand this in simple terms.....

  • this was an awesome video! it realy really helped me! ive watched several videos and they were terrible. i watched this a few times and really understood it! thank you so much! Do you have any other anatomy videos?!

  • Whoops didn't mean to write contaminants, sorry autotext

  • The fact they there its no evidence is evidence enough for the nonexistence. Not trying to hate our choose sides, I'm just saying logically your argument doesn't make sense. contaminants. But I will say this is a pretty good video as far as explaining hemostasis

  • Thank you! :)

  • Such a great and informative video butttttt then he got all "thank god"....no thanks, keep religion to yourself.

  • Very helpful. Just the sort of condensed, but not incredibly dumbed down summary I was looking for :)

  • Is Bill Clinton narrating this video?!?!

  • It was very helpful . Clotting summarized for beginners. Keep up the good job.

  • can some1 let me know the role calcium plays in blood clotting

  • Thank you so much 

God bless you and your family 

  • Thanks, you helped me pick this up much quicker than attempting on my own. I also liked the message at the end too :) You did a good job!

  • Ignore the voice, and its a pretty interesting and informative explanation :P

  • we know blood caries CO2 in it and Ca is important for blood clotting. so why doesn't they form calcium carbonate in blood vessels.?

  • Thank you and God Bless you :)

  • thank you! great video! I can now visualize it much easier!

  • Easy and fast to learn, thanks a lot

شكرا وياريت العرب يعملوا فيديوهات تعليمية ذي دي

  • I am studying this process now. I appreciate your video. It has helped me in my studies. Thank you!

  • This is a concise way to explain a process that when read in a book, can be rather difficult to understand. You've provided the basics and then one can expound on it further once the basic understanding has been achieved. Thanks for sharing your explanation.

  • Hi

Just want to say thanks for your video, sums up haemostasis perfectly for me to remember it for my exam next week.

I also want to encourage you by saying that i truly appreciate your comment at the end. Praise the Lord that he designed us perfectly and mercifully sustains us every day. I'm studying biomedical science and not a single lecture goes by without me having to pause a second in awe of my creator.

Thank you again and may God bless you and your family!

  • @abrahamovervoorde if we're designed so perfectly than why do I have an appendix??

  • @3eternity3 Not sure. Maybe looking at the index or foreword will provide some insight.

    =)

  • @vFavs what?? um....we're talking about the body part here...you do know that right?

  • @3eternity3 Its important in the immune system.

  • I don't see what the big deal is about the part at the end. If you don't agree with it, just ignore it. It's not hurting you.

  • Fabulous video, with a good pace for explaining the basics of clotting. Keep up the great work!

  • Strongly recommended! Gives a solid overview of the basic cloth forming and anti-cloting mechanisms. Those interested in a more intimate detail level will also benefit from watching this video, as it provides a solid skeleton to build upon.

  • this is a great video. @ crvomy well done and continue your faith in God. this video is not ofensive neither did you say to unbelievers who watch this video to believe in the God most high . I respect their right not to belief in God but they should respect our rights to serve our God. Very Brilliant video for my assignment and God bless everyone who watches it.

  • I still don't know what a thrombin burst is :(

  • Thank you for putting time and effort into helping others. You certainly helped me. Much appreciated

  • Thank you for putting time and effort into helping others. You certainly helped me. Much appreciated

  • Thanks for the video, it was very helpful and keep giving God the glory through His Son Jesus Christ.

  • I am thankful for those that take the time to share and give so that others may learn....I do not understand what makes people critisize someone's effort and time wether a voice, sharing his faith wasn't for you, for some it was, great job and if wasn't for you move on gees

  • great video, but the voice is so nasty and obnoxious as if he has the clot in his nose. Cant hear it twice.

  • Unlike the last comment, as a Christian, I can appreciate someone who acknowledges his source of strength and inteligence. As a student, this video was helpful and I learned more about hematology than I did reading. Simplicity and to the point always works for me. Thank you crvomy.

  • this surely makes learning hemostasis much much easier. big big thanks to the author. :)

  • freakishly boring video and the voice is annoying but it helped

  • @PLLProject i agree

  • boy, when I was in med school we actually had to read this stuff in a cold pictureless text book. Now you can learn the same material more easier and conveniently on a youtube clip. Med school students are very lucky these days.

  • @nystagmus ha! well im in first year! i got an advantage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @nystagmus we sure our ... youtube has been a big help, along with wikipedia. I think it is wonderful that people go to the effort to share their knowledge with the masses.

  • @nystagmus I am a med student in first year, and I have to admit these visual tutorial videos do really help!

  • @nystagmus - yea, but they also have to learn a lot more compared to earlier days.

  • @nystagmus "more easier"....hmm...

  • @snowmanjimmy gee thanks for the proof read. i guess you work is done for the day .

  • @nystagmus Hell yeah we are! :P

  • Good work! It's very clear and great for learning for exams (even medical ones) : )

  • @snoopydogsldm haha ye im a med student as well :P

  • would rather listen to microsoft sam than this guy

  • keep up the good work these types of videos are great for students like myself who are visual learners :)

  • Nice video, tobad about the jezus bullcrap at the end.

  • wow..!!! that was great keep the good work up!!!

  • This video on "plugging" would've been a lot better without the Jesus "plug" at the end.

  • @dniete97 The "plug" was not intended to be offensive. This series of videos was aimed at helping people like me who have a blood clot problem in the vein that drains blood from the retina. If you knew how non-medical and how non-technical I am, His work would be obvious. The video on "plugging" would not exist without the One that got the "plug" at the end.

  • @crvomy: It wasn't offensive. The "plug" was unnecessary, distracting and, frankly, silly. Science is about making testable claims, and then demonstrating those claims via evidence. Your invisible friend, while he may provide comfort and meaning to you, has no place in a science video. Your claim that "plugging" would not exist without a god is quaint, but it's not a testable claim and, hence, not science.

  • @dniete97 It's an author's acknowledgement of His invisible but perceptible help in making a video that I had no clue how to make.

  • @crvomy May God bless you and give you the strength you need to keep helping others. I found it amazingly helpful.

  • @crvomy you obviously live a relatively luxurious life considering that you have internet access, a family, a computer, etc, but have you ever wondered why god would give you such a great life if the majority of a whole continent by the name of Africa would be suffering thousands of deaths daily from something unknown to us called hunger? let's say god exists; so why would he create all of that? whether god exists or not, why would you believe in him?

  • @crvomy That's a particularly nice way of putting it :-)

I think people with your accent get allot of ridicule due to some particularly loud and obnoxious people who try and use Gods teachings as an excuse for ignorance and prejudice. Understandably this rubs allot of people up the wrong way and leads to comments such as the one above. It's seen as an attempt to spread the ignorance and hate that these people represent. They have created extreme dislike towards God for their own self importance

  • @dniete97 You ever read the special thanks in a CD's liner notes, friend? They are normally irrelevant and only interesting to a few fanboys, and most people just don't care. Yeah, maybe religion and the supernatural are separate matters from science, but methinks if Mr. crvomy had thanked Chewbacca or Edgar Allan Poe's ghost you wouldn't have given two shits. You are an unnecessary, distracting, and silly militant atheist asshole.

  • @dniete97 Look, I'm not saying you are wrong but regardless of the "plug" at the end, he made the video (which I found mildly helpful to my own understanding of hemostasis). Who are we to think we know enough to criticize the man. It doesn't always hurt to keep it to yourself.

  • @dniete97 he says the video wouldnt exist with out his faith not blood clotting. I think the video is great, he also acknowledges his family wich doesnt seem to bother you.!!

  • @dniete97 it is a classic misunderstanding that religion and science dont go together. You are making statements about our "invisible" friend, but just like we cant proof his existence, u cant proof his non-existence. Your claim that god doesnt exist has no testable claims, and no evidence too. We must accept that our knowledge is not absolute, and there somethings we cant explain. Some of the greatest thinkers also believed in a god.

  • @crvomy

I'm an atheist and I don't really consider that offensive at all. It's not like he was evangelising or something, he was just thanking Jesus for creating him. My disbelief in God doesn't change the fact that this video is going to help me to remember this material for my exams.

  • Comment removed

  • @dniete97 Hey i'm sorta confused about something. Can I assume that your an atheist? And if so why are you commenting so much about God and Jesus Christ if you don't believe in him? Wouldn't that be akin to arguing with someone about the easter bunny?

  • God bless you!

  • @dniete97 You are really a cold, heartless, jerk. Your spirit is damaged. I can't stand people like you.

  • Respond to this video... Thank you for this video. It is very clear and helpful.

  • @dniete97 -- people like you wouldn't mind capitalist ads or other mentions, but hell breaks lose, if someone thanks god. he made the video, he has the right to add credits at the end. there are 100s other vids you can watch that aren't "distracting". grow up

  • Soooooo much easier to understand Hemostasis and Coagulation cascade! Thank you so much!!

  • DR LIU IS SOOO COOOLLL <3

  • Good info, but could use a little more interest from speaker. sounds like hes forced to speak and rather be in bed

  • @WayGoodXs For real. I thought he had a yawn stuck or something. lol. But, still good information.

  • it failed to mention the important factors but nevertheless it summarizes the stages.

  • How do the platelets initially recognize the cut?

  • @BenSimpz

I guess they initially attach to the tissue elements such as collagen and von Willebrand factor through blood flow.

  • Thank You Very Much!

  • thNKS for poSTing this!! you made it easier to understand :D

  • thank you so very much! very simple and easy to follow and understand...you cleared up quiet a few things that I was lost on throughout my online lecture for almost 1 hr + trying to figure out, but listen to this and it cleared it all up! Thanks!!!

  • thank you soo much....easy and simple to follow

  • excellent vid..

    thanks

  • crvomy!

this is a great video! i have watched two of your videos. Both of them are pretty awesome!!!! i just wanna tell u that u have down an amazing job. we even use this video on our anatomy class!!!! thank u so much for making this video!!!! <3

  • its really easier to understand through an visual explanation ..

  • ballin

  • so helpful thx a lot

  • i need my old anatomy and physiology book (from undergrad). they tell you the process IN DETAIL of what happens from the time you cut yourself until the time a clot is formed. This is a very simplified version.

  • You could have mentioned von Willebrand factor becoming exposed when endothelilal injury occurs (present between the endothelium and the basement membrane)

  • I am speechless, I have a physiology Midterm Tomorrow, and this Is SO helpful. Thank you very much.

  • It is so helpful to see a visual explanation of hemostasis. Thanks so much! I am moving onto wound healing!

  • sooo good.... thnx

  • the second country which has most highly watched this video is egypt!?
