Don't get me wrong Amnesia was awsome and had a ton of good scares and atmosphere and is WAY up there on the list. But Condemned seemed so sinister, I have to disagree I think Condemned is scarier. Go play both games again and see if you cahnge your mind.

That moment where you pick up the drill-bit, me and my friend just played that part and the monster came after her even though she was hiding in the dark behind one of the shelves. We managed to leg it out of there when it was almost on top of us. Scariest monster encounter for us so far along with being chased by the water-lurker. Can't wait for more scars next time we play

At first,the encounters on this game were scary for me because i was always on the lookout for enemies that i fleed to reappear somewhere near the place that i last saw them....But after a couple of hours into the game,i realised the game uses trigger mechanics that makes enemies appear out of nowhere after certain events and once they lose sight of you,they vanish into thin air....Needless to say i abused this mechanic to my own benefit and the game went less scarier as i progressed

You can't make a montage of scariest moments in Amnesia because the game is one scary moment. This game is a masterpiece and I don't even dare completing it. The constant fear is much worse than those cheap jumpscares from Dead Space etc.

I tried this game and it's nowhere near as scary as Dead Space 1 & 2. I get the fact that you can't kill the monsters in this game which makes it even more scary that you need to run & hide. But try Dead Space on the hardest difficulty with a 5.1 Digital Surround Sound system and you'll see what i mean. Dead space is a little more "jumpy", better lighting and sound (though the sound in this game is really good). Just giving my opinion.
