  • Hi can you help. i have a rv8 since i have been flying it i have found that the landing legs could be made stronger. as they do tend to bend when landing. is there a carbon firba upgrade for the rv8 thanks gary

  • Just take a GI Joe, cut it in half and put it in the cockpit.

  • I cant wait to buy this beautiful airplane.. I was at home reading the August 2009 issue of Model Airplane News and saw plane. Its everything I was looking for in a airplane.. Thanks again Hanger 9.. Keep up the great work.. Cant wait to see whats next.. Samuel A. Isaac A.M.A.#621021

  • Ok, who can explain why this can not come in an ARF or a RTF because when you get every thing to build the plane and fly it, it cost as much as getting the tail kit for the real Vans RV-8.

Lower the price and i will buy it.

  • It is an ARF, I am missing your point. It also is a bit larger and more complicated sport scale model, they just aren't going to be cheap.

  • Jim,

You forgot to mention the Electric option for this bird... I think there will be a lot of these with Brushless/Lipo combos in the air this year. I'm sure thinking about it.

  • Jonny, you are right, I tend to lean towards engine powered models in this size bracket so I totally spaced it. But yes it can be setup as Electric easily. In the next H9 model I will be sure and make note of the electric option.

  • thanks for the video!

  • Yet another great video so keep the coming but would like to see some more electric r/c planes any size would do lol,5*

  • Stazz, check out the horizon hobby page today or go to Horizon Hobby on FaceBook and see the ELECTRIC version!!

  • Ok thanks man i'll go check it later and again thanks for telling me :)

  • What would you recomend as a plane for stepping up from a .40 size trainer (LT-40)?

  • Yup, If you were to pick up a ParkZone Trojan or Corsair and fly it till you feel comfortable with basic aerobatics and decent landings you could fly the RV-8. It just isn't designed to take the kind of abuse a beginning flyer will naturally subject it to.

  • Thnx, I think I'll pick up the corsair sometime this summer. (It's always been my favorite plane.)

  • cool. I am on my 5th plane, and my second t-28 that I have mastered. I will think about either this or the hangar 9 saratoga.
