I was so fortunate enough to see Savoy at the Ballard Firehouse in WA more about 15 yrs ago and the were smoking hot! I was smoking too but something else! Haa. Dang, I need to get "Lions Share" and the first 3 SB albums, since I've never owned them. I've had just about all the rest though and love SB. My fave is Raw Sienna, since it was my introduction to SB and still love it to this day. Kim rocks out on this video, nice post!!!
please , for the love of all that is good, please please somebody post where the rest of this show is ! I'd pay for at least an audio copy of this whole show!
Just love the bass playing, and the singing. Black man got the real blues in his voice. Kim never disappoints, saw SBBB back in 1970, they were young then, me too. Music you cant criticize
The Bassman is Nathaniel Peterson my old bandmate from Detroit. We went to Cali in`81 to try to get signed but with the pay-to-play format in place and nobody to sell or tickets to as we had no fan base, it was rough. I stayed and ended up in Stinson Beach and wrote jingles for commercials and played in a group that did pretty well but Detroit was home so I left after 5yrs. I surprized Nate and went to see him in Tampa when he was with Kim great reunion. Check out Nathaniel Peterson Blues Band.
Tic-Toc those years go by......Imagine your back in 1972....Your woman has been with you....and left you... you listen to this late at night on your stereo.............and then you go to sleep!
I saw the full band back in 72 or 73 at Massey Hall in Toronto, they headed a triple bill with Atomic Rooster and I believe Chicken Shack, great evening of music that was. They were promoting the Street Corner Talkin LP . Simmonds is one very under rated guitarist
Amen to that! Savoy Brown had to be one of the best and most prolific 70's bands, and the fact that there's so little video of them is a cryin' shame.
Savoy Brown has been my favorite band since I first heard them in 1973. I go to see them whenever they are anywhere near me. And Kim is very approachable and easy to talk to. He signed my Strat, now my most treasured possession ! I love all eras of Savoy Brown, but this one with Nataniel was one of my faves.
There ain't... before posting this one I was trying to get some, at least some footage. Check the whole YouTube, the official website of Kim and Savoy, too bad but real. BTW, thanks for the first comment to this one
This is 2010 and I still love this band - OH MY ! I have all the albums and I love this music so much!
LOVE YOU GUYS!

This is a great video. I saw them (sans Ric) in Sacramento Ca. that same year. I thought Nathaniel Peterson Jr, was fantastic.
