It focused too much on the shark struggling the entire time and not enough on the people involved. It just left me feeling sorry for the shark.
I really don't understand peoples problem. catching sharks like this is necessary for tagging, measuring, taking samples etc. which provides these guys with a lot of information about the shark population in that area, which is required for conservation of them.

We didn't kill the shark, we measured it and took a DNA sample. If you watch the whole video, the shark swims away fine at the end. Sure the shark got stressed out a bit, but big tigers like that are incredible tough, and I've seen them deal with much bigger fights over much longer times and still be fine.

For all the people hatin, think about it, they did NOT use any fishing gear to CATCH the shark.
They did NOT keep it, or bring it on to their boat.
They only caught it by their hands and then held it there with some rope to only MESURE it. After that they released it.
No people shouldn't bother disturbing animals as magnificent as this by any means, but at least they didn't harm the shark in any way.

Kinda seemed pointless. Just a bunch of drunk idiots messing with a shark. The premise of catching a shark by hand is a cool thought, but the way this video was put together was poorly done. It focused too much on the shark struggling the entire time and not enough on the people involved. It just left me feeling sorry for the shark.

I really don't understand peoples problem. catching sharks like this is necessary for tagging, measuring, taking samples etc. which provides these guys with a lot of information about the shark population in that area, which is required for conservation of them.

@lordconan1976 What we did is in NO WAY AGAINST THE LAW.
We didn't kill the shark, we measured it and took a DNA sample. If you watch the whole video, the shark swims away fine at the end. Sure the shark got stressed out a bit, but big tigers like that are incredible tough, and I've seen them deal with much bigger fights over much longer times and still be fine.
I don't understand why so many comments on this video are so ignorant and stupid.
