Why is BJJ and Gracie wrestling supported as self defence when it has very obvious flaws
1) Outside and within Indonesia mankind has weaponised combat for thousands of years making disarmed technique a suicidal technique, running is a better defence than fisty cuffs and leg traps.
2) Grappling on a concrete floor is a death sentence when interlopers are always around.
3)Why are people offering to teach these 'new' techniques for money when they are for survival...why would a master sell secrets
4)Why is there a grading system if survival of violent encounters is either win or lose, there is no middle ground. Either you survive and live or you die and dont.
5)Why are foreign styles still being pushed, hot off the Karate Kid bullshit drive? Are all aisan and pacific people super skilled with their bodies compared to others, are they ubermench?
6)How many wars has Brazil won with disarmed techniques such as these? How can it qualify as a Martial system?

@PaulrusK i train at the roger gracie academy and i compete as a roger gracie student. most people compete under the name of their coach's team - only the very best players 'represent themselves'. i hope you can understand now that it is not so 'random' -> just naming my team :-)
