She is pressing way to hard on the cutter, and not only is she going to dull the cutter, her hands are not going to fair well in time!! You just have to score the glass, it is alot easier then some may think, good luck and thanks for sharing!

How clean of a cut does that make? Is the egde sharp at all after making a cut like that?

You don't want to hear that sound. Thats way to hard. You learn to feel the score. And you don't press harder because the glass is thicker 1/8" or 1/2" is all the same.

I'm no expert but, I think she's pressing so hard because of the type of glass she's cutting. It's really thick and textured. Also, maybe her cutting instrument is dull? Idk

I feel sorry for the poor glasscutter this woman presses far too hard and then puts it tip down in a glass jar.Just stick to cleaning the house and give your hobby a miss.

You'll break your glass cutter and chip your glass if you press so hard. You aren't supposed to be cutting it with the cutter, just scoring it.
