@SchizoRiku So... the "true" ending in Shadow Hearts 1 is the bad, in which Alice dies, but then in the ending of Shadow Hearts 2 he come back to the very start, with every memories and so... the good ending in Shadow Hearts 1 is the one who is triggered by Yuri the second time he lives the story, 'cause the second time he knows how to save Alice! :O

Well, now the good ending of Shadow Hearts 1 makes sense! XD

I think they ended it perfectly. He sacrificed his life to not only keep his memories, but to be with the one he truly loved. I don't think the Yuri we knew would ever be able to get his memories back thanks to the Mistletoe.

Rubbish ending. Karin gave everything for Yuri and she got ditched aside for a woman that was dead. Instead, Karin ends up as Yuri's mother. "My mother named me after her first lover", or how Yuri explains how his mother always had tears in her eyes when she looked at him. Poor Karen, she goes through so much and gets a rubbish ending as well, all because a dead Alice cannot let go of Yuri.

I do agree. But I do like the ending. However, IF they hadn't madea third it would've been ended perfectly. For a third they should have brought them back, Yuri and Karin. Or they should have had two endings, one with Yuri and Karin, and the one they chose

Please, don't even try to justify the idiocity of the ending, there is no excuse how a woman named Karen turned out to be Yuri's mother. Not only will this turn into a time paradox, morally it is stupid altogether.

There is no valid proof the story "resets". The story does not insinuate it does so, for all we know, Yuri died and is reliving his memories in the after life.

Either way, in the normal timeline, this caused a time paradox. The reason is, Yuri's mother is Karen, however, Karen is a girl was also born in that same period.
