If you're lucky enough to find one of these, BUY IT. I've used mine in my rig for about 6 years or so, and it's become one of my favorite pieces of equipment.
I run mine through a Boss SP-303 for effects. Cheap set-up, but it can make absolutely other-worldly sounds, loops, and the like. Great for soundscapes.
I still don't have an airsynth - i just have the air fx. both look identical, but the air fx
is blue, and the air synth is orange. still planning on getting one. both were available 5 years ago, brand new and boxed, for around £95 - and that was 5 years ago! Look around ebay for one of em second hand, amazing kit. I mostly use my air fx for running overdrive on bass and drum samples to seriously fatten them up and give them a slimy feel.
its really orange and its an airsynth not an airfx aliases produced both an airsynth and an airfx but the airsynth itsnt as well known and i dont think its still made

From what I've seen of both of these instruments... I'd say neither are very good. I think a Korg microKorg is a much better instrument choice. ^^
It is a bit more expensive though... but its capabilities totally outmatch this.

well they are completly different the microkorg can't do anything that this can do and thiis can't make any sounds a microkorg can do.
