  • Ehn...can't find where to buy games...HELP!

  • I got this one through the Atariage store. Not sure where else to get it. PM me if you need more details.

  • It must have been you who told me about Atari Age. I'm going there now to see what kind of homebrew stuff they got.

  • Great review!

  • Looks/sounds good. I mean I make videos and own Ataris so I know plenty about flicker. This is a very nice, well made homebrew. And I for sure want a copy. Awesome video man.

  • That game looks fun! I would get just to collect even if I don't have a 2600

  • You could try it via emulation. It is a great game. BTW, the fellow, John Champeau, who wrote this also worked on the Flashback 2.

  • Yeah, I imagine this'll be my first 2600 homebrew once I start getting them (mostly doing Vectrex now to get as many games as possible in a single cart!).

Might want to note that the flicker isn't very apparent to the naked eye though (right? I hope...).

Does Champ Games have anything else out?

  • The flicker does appear worse using camstudio to record the emulated video. The cart on real hardware has some flicker but not to this degree. I'll make a note of it in the video summary.

Yes, Champ Games did Conquest of Mars which is a port of Caverns of Mars for the 8-bit. They also did some fantastic ports of arcade classics for DOS in the 90's

  • Yeah I figured the flicker only looked like that due to the filming and then transferring it onto here and all, just thought I'd point that out so others wouldn't think that!

Yeah I've heard of the Conquest of Mars game too.

  • cool ! :)
