At 1st, I feel all good inside & it takes me back 2 that place in time... then, I start to feel sad thinkin' about Bobby & his struggles, his addiction & ultimately, his demise & how his family must've felt when he passed, because truly, there is only one Bobby. Nobody ever has, nor ever will come close 2 sounding like him. He really is a one of a kind.

Childhood pain lead to drug addictions, criminalized behaviors, death of the oldest brother and the destruction of one of the most talented families in R and B history. Cant help to think as I listen to Bobby's pleas to Love me" that they stems from the cries of a little boys heart...... Gone but not forgotten. Thankx bigbank this one brings back memories.

This was Switch at their absolute finest.........one of the highlights from their 4th (and finest, I might add) LP. Bobby DeBarge & Phillip Ingram were a true "Dynamic Duo" of vocal greatness.......each of their talents greatly complimented the other, and as a result, made Switch one of the standout vocal groups of the late 70's / early 80's. One of the great musical pleasures from "back in the day"...........I'll always wish we could have gotten more from them.
Only Bobby DeBarge and the other fellas of Switch can have me up at 3am when i have class at 8... but once i hear one Switch song, i have to hear them all!!!
El, Chico, Bunny and the entire DeBarge family are all very talented...
but i've always been partial to Bobby, everytime i hear his voice i start to blush... probably because in my mind he's singing to me =)
