Synodontis Multipunctatus is a schooling fish. They live better in big schools. I have 10 in my tank and they swim around like crazy. It is a beautiful site to see. They tend to be shy at first until they get comfortable with their environment.
This is so cute and funny! And the music is the best. These catfishes are normally shy and cranky especially when they are adults. But some individuals are very curious and lively so I guess this is normal. The little guy can just be a little bit bored. Mine is a grown up and gets easily bored in my 100 gallon (375 litres) tank. Especially at night he swims around with high speeds and the sand flies everywhere!
That is awesome, what an energetic fish...
