His voice is an island where one can breathe and feel less lonely. If it wasn't for Scott's voice I probably would not have had the strenght let alone the courage to go on and to create. His depth and artistic maturity no Bowie no Sinatra no Jack Jones can touch. This isn't just an opinion - it's the truth! Scott Walker and Esther Ofarim were the word's best singers in the genre of pop-ballads and probably still are.
OMG I just love Scott Engel - went to all Walker Brother concerts in Uk when younger & have got all their records and Scott's - here I am 60 years old & still love them.
Thanks a lot for uploading this! I've just been reading Scott's biography Deep shade of blue (or something like that, it's great!) and they mentioned that Scott's been singing this song... Well, I was so happy about that as Bacharach is one of my fav composers and Scott one of my favourite singers, what a combination! The not-so-perfect sound quality doesn't bother me at all, I'm very glad that I heard this!
thanks for this.. also make sure to check out the zombies version thats great. i managed to see them a few years ago at the local theatre for some reason they were doing smaller gigs before they did bigger comeback gigs like with the yardbirds
Brilliant entertaine, pity thers nothing out there like Scott, just an array of noise makers.

How the heck was this guy not bigger than he was. This is crazy, he should have been a superstar. I don't get it.

I just did; great version, slower, more melancholy...
Must have been great seeing them; I hear their reunion concerts last year were particularly successful. :)

Cool. It's a shame the visuals for these shows don't exist.

I know, I'll never understand why they were not archived... downright criminal.

Very nice version, Scott does it justice.
