This video was quite enlightening, thank you for uploading this fine piece of documentation, in addition to the commentary Paula.
I'm applying to Berkeley this fall and had taken a tour of the campus, but I had never researched any of its history in the 60's. This video provided an entertaining images from the perspective of a Berkeley student.
ok this is an interesting historical record - clip..good job (for once) Paula. Da old "PG" come back to us from "La-Lah" Land Please, BITTE, POR FAVOR, SIL-VOUS PLAIT, :))
Hmmm..the bit at tne end with TARPLEY is a bit jarring..its ok but i think out of place here..still a great clip overall..good job PaulaG. Now Dat is/was the old Paula, Come back to us. WO IST KOMMER TU??
You are, but you're still misleading. Should I call it false advertising then? Best of success in selling it, I'd never buy something like this. But that's not your problem.
it is not my problem...but it is a problem that deserves all our attention as knowledge is power and who controls it has the greatest power...now is the time to support what you want. Have no idea why you want to watch it, clean and pure but would never buy it. It did well in the theaters...were you there then?
You're right I don't watch to watch it at all. I thought when I clicked the video before I saw the trailer and its grossly misleading label that it would hopefully be at least a fair, if not sympathetic, treatment of a progressive movement. But once it starts, you learn that there's no reason to watch it since it's neither of the above. Why buy something that isn't even worth the time of viewing it??
Not sure if my last comment posted or not. If you have a "problem" you wanna make a film about, you should come out and say so directly, rather than lying to your viewers in your promotional material. That's what that label issue is about. At least do it satirically, but you apparently don't even have the ingenuity, sense of humor or whatever even to come up with that. THAT's the problem, not the Berkeley movement, which contributes more to society than your silly excuse for a film.
these images were captured in my hometown while I was in high school and I was a part of that energy even if I was young. "If you can't remember the 60's you weren't there"
That would've been a little hard since I was born in the early 70s. What has that got to do w/it? If anything more people born after that time would agree w/you b/c of the right wing backlash, as exemplified by your propaganda, that's occured since then. It's high time we turned back the clock to that sort of communitarian ethos, otherwise we'll be stuck in this neoliberal shithole for another 40 years. Works like this don't help. 2 Thumbs way down.
Viet Nam was much more of a meat grinder than Iraq. Leaders and authorities like to go to war. The biggest difficulty is they are at war with the disadvantaged in their own country. I understand it; Money in one's own wallet is far more important than a good man's life that is expendable. It is as if the importance of importance is more important than life.
google "Berkeley in the Sixties" and buy it from the people who worked so hard to produce it. It is a beautiful documentary. My purpose was to apply fair use to show how power needs to be understood by spiritual people otherwise their place on the planet becomes a burden. thanks for stopping by!

This is misleading, which I can't stand. Why can't you just post the damn film or else not use a misleading title to pedal your religious propaganda?
