  • the definition of selling out, actually is, changing your sound to keep up with what is most popular.. that is exactly what incubus did.. like many others. they are sellouts.

  • can anyone tell me what a troll is.

  • Am i honestly the only person who thinks ACLoTM is their best album?

  • @mwellbass Not at all; tbh, I think that was their most powerful album to date. The musical complexities that were demonstrated there definitively show their creativity. I think that being the reason their set list is mostly derived from this album more than any other. The Greek, Hollywood Bowl, Smoke Out Festival... great shows in recent years that were all ACLoTM dominant.

However, my favorite song to date is Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song); expect nothing, get everything.

  • Woowoo!! Spill it..

  • the guitar riff in this sounds like ashes to ashes by faith no more...

  • Incubus is forever changing. Every band sells out at some point. Hence having enough money to continue there shit. dont be so bitter about them. stop pretending like incubus isnt the most importnat band of the new era. they will go down as the only rock band to start in the 90's and last 30 years strong in a fucking while. when 2020 turns and they come out with another album. remember what i said... cause ur stubourness will come back to fuck u in the ass.

  • Well fucking said my friend.

  • Waiting for the new album this year. It will be good. Everything they've done is good. They always change because they are talented enough to.

  • I want this album, I can't find it anywhere not online!

  • I dunno - I loved S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make yourself was amazing, Morning View was great, Crow Left of the Murder was good, and so on and so forth, although I didn't like Fungus Amongus or Light Grenades too much. That said, I would love to see them return to their higher-energy stuff whilst still remaining true to themselves as well as the fans. We know it can be done - After all, they're Incubus!

  • Fungus Amongus is not the greatest incubus album as older fans praise it to be, but it is enjoyable to listen to after having listened to all the albums beyond it first. You can analyze it and point out it's influences in the later albums and being a musician, i find it rewarding to be able to do that.

  • man, see??? this is incubus. old stuff for sure and i can't understand why they became such a sell-out. their old albums are so full of soul, energy and originality above all. Too bad they decided to target a widely different audience through their most recent, and low level, albums. Long live old incubus.

  • Great band period

  • It doesn't matter if Incubus are on a bigger label or if they stopped playing their old stuff.

They're not the same twenty-somethings they used to be, and they aren't going to play the same stuff over and over.

Incubus' old stuff will always be there, but no, Incubus will never sell out.

These guys love their fans to death and love making music.

They're going to change as they grow, that doesn't mean their old stuff won't still be there for the listening.

  • thats the smartest thing anyone has said about their recent music i agree too its like they have different albums for different moods gotta love tht about a band

  • Thank you.

And yeah, I mean, almost every video for a band I like/love I watch and read the comments to, there's always SOMEONE complaining that they should do their old stuff.

God, if you want to hear the old stuff so badly, go find the damn album and listen to it!

Good to see someone who agrees. :D

  • i agree

  • @KittehsaysTaco i agree..every band will definitely go to another direction (in music, to be specific)..they've done a lot and they'd probably be making more music..

  • I like everything they've done. They chose to grow and expand their sound. They would've stagnated and would not have broken through. All great artists grow.

  • ahh. i miss this incubus.

  • incubus= best band ever

  • thats a fucking cool album cover. and scream 3 is a great movie, i didnt know this awesome song was on its soundtrack

  • Brandon's vocals are just extraordinary! This is a great song. I love this band!

  • just i-tuned this. It is good.

  • why would u do that? u coulda got it free at the incubus site!

  • lok at the robot (+_+)

  • They never play this stuff anymore. There new fanbase doesnt understand this.

  • Yeah you got that right this is by fair my favorite incubus song.

But what can one say incubus is signed to Sony BMG now and all those types of huge labels care about is numbers/money. At this point incubus is making music for the masses Not to long ago a friend of mine saw them in concert and told me they played none of there old stuff. As the concert was packed with as you mentioned there new fanbase.

  • i saw them at charlotte aug. 12 and they played lots of stuff before ACLOTM they even played redefine in its original entirety. Badass show and Ben Kenney is a really good replacement for Dirk if any, but yes i miss this arabic style they had between science and makeyourself

  • Or maybe its because they get tired of playing the warmth for 15 years? The record album didn't make there music they did. Incubus is a big enough band that if the record label told them we want 3 poppy songs incubus would say fuck off. Incubus changed there sound who wants to do the same exact thing for 10+ years.

  • I agree these days people think you have sold out if you change your sound I don't think that is always the case.

Sometime artist just want to do something different thats the pointe of beings and artist, evolving it can also be done tastefully.

EX Radiohead now is way different from Radiohead 16 years ago. Radiohead is one of my all time fav bands.

  • THANK YOU any incubus fan knows that they change their sound every album because they want to play/make new music

  • ..no matter how they change their music, they are always the best...

  • @fendergolden1 they have been signed ever since science i don't know what your talking about they are just making music to appeal to the masses. they just change music style because playing the same stuff over and over again gets boring

  • Comment removed

  • @AverageAsian26 Sure it gets boring I have nothing agents Incubus I think they're ok.. I used to be into them a lot when I was 15/16 I'm 24 now ,and I think they 're just ok now.. They don't intreats me as much nowadays not because their more mainstream it's just other bands intreats me more.

As fair as bands go for changing their musical style I feel Radiohead has mastered that I have been into them since I was 12 and I have never gotten tired of them like I have some bands.

  • @fendergolden1 no one cares what you say because your 24 and cant spell "INTEREST"

  • @robotman200 I love it when people feel the need to correct others spelling in an informal blog get a life man unless you have never misspelled anything in your life.I'm sure there is no inch in your house thats not made of glass peace.

  • @fendergolden1

I bet when you type this you went extra slow to make sure you spelled it all correctly (^^)

Anyways... just listen to it. honestly your messages like this one I'm writing are only lost in translation

  • @fendergolden1 You're tarded dude. Mainstream? I honestly haven't heard one band and thought, "Damn, they sound a lot like Incubus!" Incubus is their own genre. They are so incredibly original and they have complex and meaningful lyrics. Like everyone else here has said, Incubus has matured and so has their music. Stop trolling. If all you're going to do is trash talk someone else's favorite band, you must just be looking to argue on the internet.

  • yeah i miss the old days too, but hey, everyones gota have a career. i personally think that its the chaotic funk that made brandons voice stand out so far. the more melodic they get, the less impact i feel

  • i understand that but the more melodic they get the more brandons voice is heard and loved

  • I love this song....

  • One of my favorite Incubus tracks.

  • such a tune

  • They need to do this song live more often. It's one of their best songs.

  • this song is so good!! its a shame most people dont know of it... :(

  • what year did this song come out? i totally missed out, its really cool

  • b-side from Make Yourself

  • this song rocks! They need to do more shit like this. I really don't listen to anything of they'res after they let go of alex(original bassist).

  • great song but the audio quality sucks

  • great song...oldie but a goodie...awesome album

  • dudes , i dont believe alex didn't wrote alot of stuff, his bass lines were WAAAY better than ben's ,,,,,, he had the groove, punch and chord complexity all around, incubus lost its soul when he left..

  • yeah the soul as in the 90's feel

    and im a 90's kid

    i miss it

    alot

  • yeah they had a give and take kind of loss when he left. they just took a different route at that fork in the road. they just went in a different "good" direction, yet ended a good start as well. they just changed alot after he left.

  • yeah i agree

it was time to for them to do that

  • i agree as well, it's a good thing that they can change and not suck haha. most bands tend to suck if they change. :P

  • like 90% of all the 90's bands in 2003

  • haha thats right man. they either fall off the face of the earth, or they suck, or they're incubus. :P

  • There's a couple out there...anyone listen to a band in the 90's named The Offspring? :P

  • i can't tell if you are agreeing with me and polishpirate, hah but i certainly don't feel that The Offspring, made it anywhere after the millennium

  • deftones as well

  • Tool did. For me anyway. Lateralus rocks. 10k days a bit worse in my opinion.

  • Powiedzialbym inne a nie gorsze ale nie chce sie klocic :) W koncu to twoja opinia :) Pzdr

  • Right on, lateralus was one of the best albums by tool, but the song Rosetta stoned from 10000 days was pretty good.

  • ido(: i luv em

  • Amazing.

  • to be honest it sounds like this song is about a guy wanting to use the bathroom on the top floor..

    makes it rather hilarious.

  • I think you should listen just a little closer to the lyrics. "Need to spiil and all of it out right now..." is about his anger...not pee:)

  • brandon boyd lyrics with mike einzeigers guitar mix like erm..two things that mix very well(= very cool band

    incubus!!!

  • man, they played this song in wembly arena back during the crow tour... never expected it and nearly peed my pants... awesome

  • that bass line is sick.

  • did ben or alex make it?

    i think its alex

    but im just wondering

  • alex did this one

  • which means Mike wrote it. Alex wrote very little of his own material, which is one of the reasons why he was asked to leave the band

  • but alex wrote alot of morning view stuff

  • totally true. dont kno why u got thumb downed

  • Man, I hate elevators! this song is parallel to my feelings in elevators. weird. This song kicks ass!!! Woooo...Incubus 4ever baby!!! hell yeah. lol. ;)

  • This is one of my favorite Incubus songs!

  • i heard this off the scream 3 album, which is an awsome album!

  • so awsome. rad band. just a bunch of intelligent, respecful creative people. go incubus

  • one of the best bands ever!

  • yeah....datz ryt...

  • very cool song and rare too

  • love 'em!!

  • incubus... I love them
