I always wonder why people get so defensive when a certain artist sings another artist's song. That's why it's called a cover, isn't it? So that the artist can put his own spin, flavor, and personality in it?

This is quintessential Mika and obviously Mika fans would love it (like me). Non-Mika fans will either love it or hate it, depending on how open-minded they are about listening to different styles of music. It's sad that people are being unecessarily rude to something they don't like.
