hey i got it working but when i started it it got really loud and then it gave me a warning saying that it was going to automatically shut off because it was overheating. so i turned it off and ill try again after. hopefully it works

@Elyomo21 just install your game to hdd this is the only real fix for this it all cause by disc drive spining too high and i don't know why microsoft did not see this but you may still have to reflow the bored inside and don't get the new xbox 360 slim they a lot more problems then old xbox 360 and just cause they say new 360 don't fail they lie they still fail they may got rid of red ring but they didn't fix it sill fail it show e82 when cpu come lose and e74 when gpu come lose

@Kendalon Ok this works for 4 rings and 3 rings except for 4 rings you just have to wait until it gets down to 2 rings then shut off your xbox, take out the cu-tips and turn it back on and it works. I've done this about 5 times my xbox is perfectly fine and running besides the fact it comes back about every 2 months for me. BUT IT WORKS DON'T LISTEN TO HIM.

@jnscollier This is not a permenant fix and yes you may get away with it a few times but the outcome is the same... send it to get reflowed/reballed... this is bacically the same as a towel trick and you risk burning out other components inside the machine to the point where it is not worth fixing and the person you send it to to get fixed in the end will charge you for wasting his time and you will still not have it fixed !!!

@tyedye97 If the AV cables aren't plugged in, it would have a full red ring. If the power cable was loose, the middle green light would be blinking along with the 3 quadrants. The guy in this video is experiencing the real Red Ring of Death and not a loose cable. Maybe you should do your homework before you start calling people a "fuck tard."

Cute? The Red Ring can not be fixed that way. He is breaking his fan. getting cotton in the system and overheating his system. A red ring has to be taken apart and the chips reflowed. That will reconnect the solder back to the solder points on the board.

These methods are not long term, and you just get annoyed when it goes wrong and ruin it by heating it like this until it shuts off for good. Heat guns don't work, self heating doesn't work and ovens really do not work. Spend a bit of money, get a reball. Your console will last ages longer. I have tried all methods, none of them will give you any long term satisfaction except a reball
