@ReflexEight you are correct. We have both kinds of IMAX screens in Milwaukee, the dome theater is at the public museum downtown, and the 3d theater is at the AMC Theater at our local mall. AMC has a custom version of this for their screen. Not sure about downtown though (I think they use the other trailer).

@GloriousOtaku - IMAX is a global movie theater chain. There are 2 kinds of IMAX Theaters: First is the Dome Theater, where the screen and speakers surround you so you experience the movie better. Second is the IMAX 3D Theater, which is a conventional screen that can show 3D movies. These 3d theaters are starting to become popular retrofits in theaters here in the US. This pre-show trailer is shown at all of the IMAX 3D Theaters. AMC Theaters has a custom version for their IMAX screens.

@videoproducer100 that 3d hurts the eyes and causes headache. Soon you don't recognize the 3d effect anymore and fast moves are shit in 3D. The movie Final Destination 5 was not the right movie for 3d for example.

And every movie theater had speakers surrounding you for 2 decades.

It's cool, but I think the way the imax title appeared kind of down graded the whole thing. The title didn't keep up with the rest of the effects. But oeverall I like it.

Um -- why would I wish -- to go offsite.. to download a different file .. JUST to gain multiple chs of surround sound .. when THIS analogue playout (via the 3.5mm headphone socket in my PC).. has ALL the chs I need - what with there ONLY being 16 analogue chs available today .. across my "currently used" deplexer decoder...and as MANY as 25 or more .. if i wished to decode heavier ... cheers ;-)
