  • Good evening pat, i have heard this in late 1970 but i am old enough that i can't remember where heard this. Possibly in the Netherlands, Germany, or in Switzerland.

  • Is this the one recorded by Paul McCartney?

  • mein gott, das wusste ich nicht dass sie selber in deutsch gesungen hat......wunderbar...danke....

da warr der tak furr uns schon lägst vorrbai.....

  • In my opinion, Dalida's French version of, "Those Were the Days, and Mary's version are both outstanding.

  • @VealParmigiana I agree... they both bring something different to the same song.

  • Didn't know that a german version existed, thanks for sharing

  • There is just one more version in german! Singing by Vicky Leandros` father ,Leo Leandros.Vicky`s version is: Le Tempes de Fleurs.

  • Did you see at 0:44? Mary with John Lennon and Yoko Ono

  • Last spring I visited John Lennon Museum at Saitama New City Centre, where Yoko's belongings are exhibited, in order to find Mary's photos out but there was none. Then I have bought one magazine which tells the history of Apple days. I am happy when I can find some photos of Mary in it.

  • I have also read about the Hebrew version but I have thought it was wrong because otherwise the other versions are mentioned only

  • There was no Hebrew version...

  • Just what I have thought!

  • Actually there was a hebrew version - not sung be MH however, but by a 19-year-old Israeli soprano named Shuli Nathan. I tried to find it but without success so far - will upload it if I do!

  • There was NO Hebrew version by Mary Hopkin.

That's what the question was about Mary Hopkin and a Hebrew version.

It gets confusing when answers are given saying there was a hebrew version

I get inundated by messages asking questions so hopefully on my pages I like to keep it as simple as possible...

  • I have read the inlay information of the "Post Card, the paper sleeve special issue in late 2005 by Toshiba-EMI" on which described that the Hebrew version was available (written in Japanese) ...

Now I think it is a mistake or misunderstanding of the author. The Deepest fans saying must be true I think.

    Thanks.

Have a nice and happy merry Christmas,

    Tommy

  • A rare and beautiful version! I like it better than the French one, she has a lovely accent.

  • Thanks for posting of this German version. This is my first time to listen to this rare version.

  • Now I have finally heard the last of the foreign versions of "Days",

some to me new very nice pictures

  • I have never met the "Hebrew" version of "The Days" yet...I would like to hear it.

    Have a nice Christmas day!

    Best regards,

    Tommy

    Wonderful memories!

    Great thanks, Pat!

  • I only have 1 thing to say -

    EXCELLENT!

  • I think that the French version is the best one, and I think it you can call it "overdoing" to release three versions of Those were the days when Postcard was re-released there must be other songs in the archives that we never have heard.
