  • By the way you are beautiful and very attractive I love your skin tone.

  • US CARIBBEAN LOVE ARE AFRICAN ROOTS ,ARE LIFE STYLE IS JUST LIKE AFRICA NO MATTER WERE WE GO AFRICA IS ALWAYS PART OF US . AFRICAN BLOOD IS RUNNING IN ARE BLOOD DOESNT MATTER HOW SOME OF US MIX WITH OTHER RACE.

  • But.... I speak only for myself when I say this: I FORGIVE the African descendants of the traitorous Africans that sold my ancestors into slavery.

I'm still trying to forgive Whites for slavery, but White Americans continues to disenfranchise my fellow African-Americans, even today; therefore, they make it very hard for me to see them as being any different from their treacherous, murderous, rapist ancestors.

THIS IS NOT ALL WHITES, but many Whites have not shown a different face to me.

  • And those Native African traitors that sold their fellow Africans into slavery to Europeans, along with their descendants, are also the ones that should be ashamed of themselves. I believe that many West Africans still have much guilt about what their deceitful ancestors did, during the slave trade period. Whites are NOT the only guilty party--our African brothers and sisters have blood on their hands too.

  • My ancestors that were slaves in the USA were a people that never gave up hope--they continued to be ambitious; once slavery ended, they were very successful business men and women. Slavery is NOTHING for African-Americans to be ashamed of--it's slave-owning Whites and their descendants that should be ashamed of slavery, with the exception of those of us that have the unfortunate fate of also being descendants of slave masters, like me and my family.

  • I know this is an old video, but u'd be surprised how relevant the THEME still is 2day..So I'm going 2 comment. I agree with u when u say AAs can call themselves what they like, because quite frankly, it's embarassing how little they know of that CONTINENT- which I'm sure most of them don't even know is a CONTINENT!! I'm Naija myself, and I've little patience with ppl who're so out of touch..I mean, the last thing I wanna do is give these DOLTS a HISTORY lesson..Anyways, loved ur vid! I subbed.

  • @kingofpendragon Thanks for Subbing. You will enjoy the new series on International Students that am doing.

  • As and African-American, I don't need your (@presdom2000) permission to call myself an African-American. I also don't ask permission from my fellow African-Americans to use the term. I am descended from African slaves, along with many other groups (e.g., Europeans, Native Americans), but it's Africa that I'm most proud to be associated with; this is mostly the case with other African-Americans (descendants of slaves). Africans must understand that African-American are a STRONG people too!

  • @MonsieurMercredi We must stop calling our ancestors slaves because the term (SLAVE) be little them, our ancestors was Africans whom just happened to be enslaved.

  • @BLACKNBIG1 being embarrassed about our ancestors position, within the history of American society will NOT change the fact that they were indeed slaves. Unlike most African-Americans, I have images of my great-great-great grandparents, and all of their descendants to-date (my entire family). These pictures stretch back to the late 1700s. I find NO shame in the history of my Native American, African, and Jewish Ancestry.

It is my African ancestry that I'm most proud of. You do what you like

  • P@MonsieurMercredi I never said that I was a shame of my ancestors I said that the term Slave be little them and all that they have done for this country because they were more than just slaves.

  • @BLACKNBIG1, I respect your opinions and views on this subject; your opinions are important to you, and they're possibly important to your family, but my views are how I choose to approach this topic. I don't ask for your permission, nor do I ask for Native African's permission, and I don't ask for anyone else's permission when I speak about or refer to MY ancestors. I'll see, view, and speak of them in any terms that I like, and I don't apologize to anyone for that.

    Au revoir BLACKNBIG1!

  • yeah u are so right they would call themself nigger nigga but yet ashame to call african american girl im so proud to be african haitian .

  • plsss like seriously mind ur video and stop talkin bout ghanaian movies...damn!!! some nigerians do bad things and wat do yu expect??? they are actors....SMHHHHHHHHH....

  • It doesn't matter what others call you. If a race diligently focuses on education, entrepreneurialism, investments, and property ownership--and above all, close families--the race will emerge triumphant. Look at Asian Americans. They are socioeconomically the most successful minority race in the US. Why? How? You hardly hear from them--no drama there. But look at the numbers. On average, Asians actually outperform whites in terms of education, household income, health, family, etc.

  • you have a common nigerian accent XD are you nigerian ??? ^ ^

  • let them call them selves whatever who cares.. but when they come to insult us they get their butts kicked PERIOD.

  • she so soft spoken keep them videos cuming girl

  • Oh! And One More Thing. Can You Give Me The Recipe On How To Cook Fried Locust? And If It Would'nt Be Too Much Of A Problem Could You Tell Me What Kind Of Cows Blood Is Good For Drinking?

  • Yeah And U Know Whats Really Funny? Its How U Said Your So Proud Of Your Continent(Africa) And You Love It So Much With All Your Heart And Yet You Left It. HAHA! And You Know Whats Hillarious? Is That Your So Proud Of Your Continent And Love It So Much With All Your Heart And Yet, You Not So Proud And So In Love With It (Africa) To Feature It On Your Profile Page In The Country Section. HEHE! NOW STFU BICTH!

  • @MrHead1972 Very true. And she is soooooooooo proud to be Nigerian/African, why is she rocking her hair dyed, fried, and laid to the side? Why not rock/wear your natural hair? Black American women were the first to artificially straightened their hair, and dame do our women look great with or without straightened hair. It's part our Black American culture-this coming from a Black American guy. This gal is a fool and jealous of Black Americans.

  • @PRUDENCE19831 Yeah! If Im Proud Of SomeThing Then Theres No Way I Would Part With It Without Abondoning It For SomeThing Better. And Thats What She Did When She Left Her Home. But If She Was Born And Raised Here Then She Is Not So Proud Of Africa That She Has Left America To Go And Live In Africa. I Just Dont Understand How She Can Profess Her Love For A Place She Either Abandoned Or Has Not Returned To.

  • @MrHead1972 True!

  • @MrHead1972 you wont understand so dont even bother, you dont have any contact with africans and there is nothing wrong with this . just accept what is beyond your understanding and MOVE ON ..

  • IT LOOK LIKE YOU CAN SUCK A BIG COCK

  • damn you are beautiful and your lips just hypomotze damn....

  • YOUR weird, How do you go from talking about African American to Heart Of Men. If you dont recommend it, keep it to yourself then. Your subliminally trying to degrade or bash the Ghana industry, which is not cool.

  • true talk sister

  • i subscribed cos you are a naija and we need to support our own ..

  • Ur video was kool,it good 2 knw that we still ve people in America who still ve connection with their African heritage, those that refuses 2 recognise themselves as africans re ignorant,if u r not in the african list,do not see urself either as an american, cos d American u re claimin,some1 brought u there,if nt 4 ur african parents u wouldnt be where u re 2day,stop been foolish & choose were u belong 2day,am proud of U" PRESDOM"U r truely a daughter of d soil.keep believin in d future of Africa

  • Personally, I don't agree with the African American label. Black Americans are just that: American. It's their culture. Many know nothing about the Africa as a continent. Most of all, I think it's a double standard that blacks have to be called African American, whereas whites, who are also NOT indigenous to the land now called America aren't called European Americans.

  • @inphanta

Do yourself a favor and educate yourself.White have ALWAYS called themselves "something"-American.Think of terms like Polish-American, Irish-American, Armenian-American.

  • @vuyo1: This is the case sometimes, but generally speaking, white Americans don't go to the trouble of delineating their background in quite the same way. Does every white person you've met refer to themselves like this? Is every white person mentioned on TV referred to by their lineage. Of course not. This isn't the same thing at all and you know it.

  • All I have to say is AMEN @ 5:32 I have a Nigerian Dad and American Mom and I proudly embrace both cultures.....

  • i think people should stop tripping off of this black american _african american issue and face what is ahead of them. firstly there wouldn't have been any black american without an african linage. so if they feel they shouldn't be identified by african american let them be, it is only a matter of individual choices so that we don't hurt peoples feelings. i prefer u call them by their names rather than their race.............

  • I am not taking either side, like she said ANYONE call themselves what they want. But understand that it goes both ways, there are some African immigrants who do not want to be associated with the US african americans. They don't want to be called black. I think the most appropriate thing to do is to sit down with that person you meet and ask them what they would like to be called instead of automatically giving someone a label.

  • I think that too many are missing the point that the first part of that term "African" recognizes the specific racial background from which the ancestors came from. However the second part is the most important "American", when we leave this nation we are not viewed as "black" or "african" we are Americans, Westerners. Other nations can always tell who the "westerners/Americans" are. If someone is American, and only has that culture why would they claim a culture that they don't know.

  • I love how you said, most blacks can call themselves niggers but they cannot call themselves African-American.

  • And there are African "Americans" that are very proud of themselves being called and recognized as Africans...Love you my N9ja Sister...I am learning Yoruba and any other africna language that appeals to me. we are one...Lets cut the Bull$hit...Peace, Love & Light to you Sister Queen, from one Goddess to another 1 Love! Ase O'

  • Sister, this road goes both ways...I am proud of being African born here. There are Africans that are not accepting of us the same way you feel in your statement. They say that African American are just slaves...I disagree rather being stolen or sold we are still Africans, why can't most Africans accpet that fact? We still have family there that were not caught up in the trade..Im sure they missed they're people at one time.

  • You are proud of your continent & your country Nigeria. I am proud of my Ancestors continent, Africa. Yet I want to say that we differ in cultures and I feel like that is why we differentiate ourselves. That goes for all african descendants, ex Jamaicans, haitians, afro-latinos, african americans, african europeans, and the different african countries. However I am also proud of being American, they fought so hard for me to say that so I will distinguish that I am a proud American woman.

  • @chocolatecuban american-americans means african-blood, american-born//// the african-americans are the people, black-american is our culture///

  • I'm African-American/ Afro-Trinidadian/ Afro-Grenadian.

I'm very proud of my African roots.

You better believe I know our history and how we were exploited then and now.

I'm African. .......DNA test to determine ancestry coming soon hopefully.

  • Love ur video. I Thot I was wrong until somebody made a comment along dat line. I adore Kelly Rowland. If 4 dat alone count me in. U look much alike.

  • Being called African American is a form of discrimination.I prefer Nigerian or even Igboman. Being called Black American is even worse because black is a color. Why African American and not European American afterall they all came here at one point?.

  • @caddle20 african-americans means, african-blood, american-born, african-americans are the people, black-american is our culture////

  • nice video although i must add that Deut 28 41: YOU SHALL BEGET SONS AND DAUGHTERS, BUT YOU SHALL NOT ENJOY THEM FOR THEY WILL GO INTO CAPTIVITY.

The Same (white) Man that colonized Africans in Africa are those that colonized African Americans. I am African(Nigerian) and I love Africa coz we don't experience racism etc in Africa.

African Americans have been robbed of their CULTURE, LANGUAGE, HERITAGE AND IDEAS.

  • @shoneils

You are correct in saying that we were robbed of our AFRICAN culture, language, heritage and ideas. YET we have created our own culture, (it may be a sub culture of the european slave masters but we made it something of our own with what we had), heritage, and ideas. It is a beautiful heritage that I am proud to possess. Don't let negative stereotypes fool you. We are very rich in culture and heritage and ideas. We had no choice but to be stripped of the african culture.

  • @chocolatecuban I'm going by your name,so I guess you're an Afro-Cuban right? If that's the case you are most definitely considered an African! You guys have kept your African heritage,to the extent of even retaining some of your languages like Yoruba,Efik,Efut etc,and have stamped your heritage in every day Cuban life!

YOU ARE TRULY AFRICANS AND WE LOVE YOU!

    PEACE!

  • @vixxy02

May I ask if you feel the same way ( peace and love) about the African Americans in the U.S.?

  • Many Black Americans dont want to be called African American because culturally African Americans and Africans are very different. The average Black person in America has no relatives (who they know) living in Africa. Its not as if Blacks came to America 80 yrs ago. Blacks have been in America for 400 years and had most of their African culture stripped away. They were forced to created a new culture (the Black culture). African American for me is a bit pretentious. Africa is great though.

  • @blkcul I hear what you are saying, but I don't want to called black because I think it is demeaning, it is a color, that takes away my culture.

  • @blkcul Very True!

  • @blkcul My oberservations dating African born women while living in a mixed American community that truly is the best explaination I've observed personaly. Both African born & African American have much in common but seem to focus more on thier differences then commonalities sadly. I worked with Liberianians who REFUSED to have anything to do with the local African Americans & the same in reverse sadly. Again ALOT more commonalities but both groups choose to focus on thier differences.

  • @blkcul Where do people get such ideas? the culture was strip but what gives you the idea that we do not like being called AA? Please show me such evidence that AAs do not like being called AAs. You must be talking about the Mulattoes. Please show me such evidence that we do not want to be called AA.

  • @blkcul whos fault is that we caribbean as well but we know are african culture so why dont your, we free now so why dont your now ?

  • idk WHAT i want to be called...I do not think that we have a term for us. I suppose I would rather Af Am than Black...Its a color. Then again I think do we really have that connection to Africa to say AfAm? You said that when we say Af we should have a pride about it. I think when we do it is definitely a different type of pride than you have, because you have more knowledge of ur culture and heritage. We have knowledge of what we went thru here and the culture that we have made in a sense.

  • YOU DO HELLA LOOK LIKE KELLY ROWLAND

  • she looks like kelly rowland and looks like a gabonese girl too.prince from gabon (africa)

  • all am sayn is dat why dont people stop actn lyk All blacks dont huv the same history of slavery... Its our family from africa that suffered all this shit so ders definitely no difference between us. They should sympathize with you too cos ur grandparents went thru same shit ba they still put it behind them just to see the brighter side of the future.. Like Peter Tosh said. 'dont care where you come from, as long as you are a black man, you are an African'. so y'all better start acting like one.

  • True talk

  • @presdom2000 How about simply American i have a black ancestor who fought in the revolutionary war with george washington I belong to SAR or "sons of the american revolution" in order to be a member your bloodline has to trace back to one of the founders of America a soldier, politician of anyone significant in the founding of america peace if you are female it would be DAR thank you and god bless you.

  • @presdom2000 good talk. , funny how black americans love to talk about being "niggas" and spew filth about us "africans " and "africa " has the label "nigger" in their mindsets.. its not by force, they all need to go and meet jessie jackson and calling themselves "nigga " is the equivalent of calling themselves stupid .. but they dont see that, we dont call ourselves stupid no matter what, and fyi we do not have to acknowledge them as "africans" most especially as they dont associate with it.

  • @presdom2000 Could you please show me this evidence that AAs do not like being called AA besides the Mulattoes?

  • @dobsyobs2003 american .. with ancestors root to a region of maybe africa, most likely trades of slaves that could have been picked up anywhere not just africa.. but today, you are a woman, american, and beautiful.my mothers sufferance is not one that i must carry the weight of of profit from, nor any of my ancestors. im fed up of the prejudices that follows one person because her brother of uncle is lets say a criminal.. does that tint the whole family? i am who i am. i see u as u

  • i hate whn people talk abt African American and Black men. slavery was abolished over 100yrs ago in America while it ended less than 70years ago in Africa n the funny part is Africans like maself dont even talk much about slavery like soo called American blacks do. We all know you went thru alot ba if you did not learn your history well then pls Slavery started in Africa and it did not end when slaves were brought to American. So just stop all these separations and asking for pity from no one

  • contd)
