I don't think it's ego... its hard for artists to know when to stop "improving" a painting, a sculpture, a poem, a song.

It's easy to overdo something with the intentions of making it better.

Axl Rose is an extreme example, took him 10 or 15 years to create the "perfect album" and look what he ended up with?

Ego? I doubt it... just a bit "over improved and perfected" in the final recording. as a result it lost a lot of its punch, power and grit.

Awesome... this drummer does pretty much what Dave Grohl did on the record obviously with a different arrangement but cool. I think it's cool how Dave always comes in after the parts are made (he did the same with Channings parts on Nevermind for those who don't know) and simplifies them and then plays them harder and hammers them to the ground. But I nust respect the creativity of the one who created it too. Sweet fuckin video...
