  • trying not to be jealous...

  • Beautiful...I love natural hair, so versatile. The model's hair was very healthy!

  • "Heffa" who the hell calls each other heffa respectfully. That is hood talk :/

  • Comment removed

  • This heffa is nice with that flat iron

  • where can i get that brush she used to blow dry her hair?

  • @zomaster1 Denman brushes are available at many beauty supply stores. Folica (dot) com has them, Sally's...they're about $10.

  • wow, they need to do my hair.

I don't have those materials to do my hair like that with.

  • I love your hair. Its full of body and shine! Healthy hair is good hair.

  • @Loveprincessmiah I love that u said "healthy hair is good hair" I always say that. good hair doesn't mean curls!!! If it's healthy...it's good!!!

  • No heat protecting products? Just wash and style? Umm no! This video is misleading. A lot of people will occur heat damage if they follow these instructions. Her hair is very pretty. But no I want her to wash it and see if her curl pattern will revert back.

  • @prettienini she does use all those products. not much. If you search through the comments you will see what she used. :)

  • @bbnne11 Oh okay. yea too many comments. that should have been explained in the video. thats what tutorials are for lol. thanks tho

  • smfh, i agree, way too much heat...all she needed after blowdrying was a silk wrap and she wud have been good

  • Her hair came out beautiful but I cringed at the fact you used too much heat. Blow drying was enough. :/

  • her hair looks good just after blow drying

  • Best tutorial I've seen on how to straighten natural hair. Thanks!

  • Wow. I really dont need a perm for straight hair. Thanx for the vid

  • her hair is pretty but mine is long and pretty but its just dry i cant find good shampoo

  • Nice instructional video!

  • You would of never knowbn her hair was that long!

  • her hair is THAT LONG she must have some good hair

  • still, you'll need someone to do these things for you...because you won't be able to straighten your hair by yourself...

  • @666890666 I straighten my hair by myself all the time....it just takes practice. After a while I stopped going to the beautician because I can do it just as well as she does.

  • its so flowy! beautiful!

  • You can't blow dry you're haire before you put, shampoo and wash it and then conditioner an wash it

  • 17 haters

  • Does a nozzle really work that much better? I've always used blow-dryers that only use comb attachments...

  • i aspire to have her hair

  • wow hard to handle with those hair...

  • her hair must be trained! my shit is still hella puffy after I blow dry it

  • @buntaskunta ikr! mine usually is puffy after blowdrying, but when i got it blowdried with a nozzle, it got so much smoother. maybe thats it

  • @peachpuff333 uh I never thought about that! I'll try that :)

  • @buntaskunta no, I thinkg you're just not doing it right. Maybe it's your blow dyer.

  • beautiful hair both curly and straight.

  • i'm sooooooo feeling this!well be trying this....

  • Nice! I personally dont think im ready for all that heat though...sheesh!

  • Its all about getting the hair as straight as you can blow drying first for nice silky hair.

  • Wow her hair looks very healthy!

  • I wish that we could find some Black manufactured products for the same process. Black Hair Project dot com

  • Great how to tips for straightening. I always enjoy simple methods and less time. What is the name of the flat iron and blow dryer used in the process?

  • She didn't even need any flat ironing after the blow out DAAAAAANG! What's the temp setting for that blow dryer!?!?!?!?

  • @21SayWhat21 i agree, that blow dryer was enough!

  • Beautiful!

  • That came out incredibly beautiful. I've only had my hair straightened once since my 3 years of being natural, and I had that done by a beautician lol. Not only am I nervous about heat damage, but I'm pretty sure my hands would not lead to such a smooth, straight finish.

  • I like it better before the flat iron. It had more body and fullnes from just the blow dry-- and it was straight enough.

  • The Key To Getting The Hair This Straight Is Making It As Straight As Possible With The Blow Dryer First!

I Had To Learn This The Hard Way!

  • @toyajanedoe yeah, I found it easier to stretch the hair overnight after a wash and deep condition!!

  • Damn they make it look so easy, if only it really was....

  • Just did it tonight! My hair came out puffy, but I like it like that!

  • OMG... that. is so. gorgeous.

  • Her hair is soo healthy!! Whenever i straighten my natural hair, it nvr looks like this. I guess im using the wrong products.

  • That's georgeous.....what kind of silion do u recommend??

  • A good conditioner is key, u can get results much like hers if you deep condition !

  • Comment removed

  • OMG this is my hair to THE FREAKING MAX.....down to a TTTTTTTT lol...............yea i love this vid my new inspiration

  • omg goodness!! what kind of blow dryer is that????

  • ITS NOT EASY FOR ME >:(

  • Omg her hair is so beUtiful

  • I love her hair

  • what can you do to control the frizz, the first day is great, but after you sweat, it reverts back.

  • @cutflower36 Fantasia IC Hair Polisher Heat Protector Straightening Serum will do. I also use Olive Oil's Wrap/Set Mousse before blow drying my hair. It makes your hair feel soft, shiny, and there won't be any frizz. Sweat will always have some sort of effect on your hair especially if its thick.

  • @cutflower36 have you tried argan oil?

  • this model's hair is what we call trained in the black hair community. that means the model's hair is use to having this process done to her hair. also, we dont all have the same type of hair. my hair can not easly become as straight as the models just by a good blow dyer.

  • @bbnne1 no i don't. i'm much more educated than you you "hun".

  • @foreverbieber because its natural. read the title

  • @Foreverbieber123 .... Whats wrong with hair like a bush?! This is the natural state of black hair all the world over. Since a lot of non-black ppl (and some blacks too) are used to seeing black women with over processed, relaxed hair, its hard for them to understand that black hair in its natural state is curly, kinky, or even tightly coiled. AFRO textured hair is beautiful hair....PERIOD!!!

  • that was crazy but i know as soon as some moisture or heat hits my shit, itll be back to the first pic lol

  • Where did you get that product that you used in her hair

  • Absolutely beautiful when straight, but it seems too good go be true.

  • Beautiful hair!

  • My natural hair still looks puffy after this process

  • @82ddw Let a dominican hair stylist get a hold of it!

  • @82ddw lol

  • @82ddw same.

  • @82ddw its just full :)

  • She has beautiful hair. Im hating! aha

  • Wow, your hair is just gorgeous!!! I love how you showed the before and after looks. What a difference!!!

  • damn she make me appreciate my hair cause thats how my hair is...

  • where can i get the brush

  • ahhhh but another question: How well did it revert?

  • Yooooo, that blow dryer is doing WORK. I'm amazed!

  • hope you keep it from feeling frizzy?

  • @chelizzle1 Deva Curl products are AWESOME. Set It Free applied after cleansing & prior to drying works miracles. I lived in TX & the humidity here is insane. After using SIF, flat ironing & being outside, my hair did NOT revert...

  • did this and it worked mii hair when ever i washed it iz like really short but when i did it was a lenghth that i never thought it would be

  • did it and it workedd

  • shrinkage is a bitch

  • I Love my hair and i when i get it done i get pressed out and then the next day i straighten it , it medium length but i want it longer is adding weave ok to do that i LOOOVVEE long hair its addictive lol

  • What kind of brush you using???

  • OMG, her hair looks like a ralaxer. its really healthy, this give me hope for mine, im transitioning. What kind of flat iron do you use

  • OMG, her hair looks like a ralaxer. its really healthy, this give me hope for mine, im transitioning.

  • It doesn't matter what kind of blow dryer that was people -_- any good blow dryer will be able to do that, and if you have one that comes with an attachment with teeth on it, you don't even need to brush it while blow drying it like that.

  • I need that blow dryer, flat iron, and hair stylist!

  • That blow dryer is the truth!!! I need that!!!

  • Well I already know that my hair will not straighten out like that in its natural state, but I'm still going natural because I've fallen in love with the versatility and elasticity of black hair. Permanently straight hair is boring, sorry Asians.

  • @nanidiamond i would suggest the GHD flat iron, it goes for about $200 but a lot of my friends swear by it :)

  • That is what I am trying to achieve! Yay Big Chop!

  • What kinda blow dryer is that?!?

  • Idk, this seems too good to be true. Yknow what I mean?

  • daamnnn dat iron is revolutionary.! Need me to get some of dat

  • What's up with that face at the end?

  • My hair wouldnt look like that in a million years

  • What the hell kinda blow dryer is that. it straighten her hair by its self.

  • is this a FHI HEAT flat iron

  • @drdawn86 yeah shrinkage is crazy!

  • you would never think all of tht hair was in those curls tht is a alot of shrinkage

  • what hair texture is she?

  • I LOVE how our hair (as a black person) shrinks! People think your hair is short, you pull it down, and BAM!.. long hair! ^_^ <3

  • That's a lot of heat [Shakes head].

  • This came out really nice!

  • how long did it take for her to grow her hair out that kinky length??? because it doesn't look like it has any length.. but damn was i wrong her hair is so beautiful

  • She is tooo pretty. Man love that natural

  • I'd like to add that you should not blow dry while the hair is wet. It can cause bubbles to form in the hair shaft

  • that style is ridiculous

  • Wow her hair straightened so good with just the blow dryer, I could've sworn that she had a perm in that baby boy.

  • after this can the hair go back to the way it was?

  • @holocaustik yes, it will. It's not permanent :D

  • I can't blow dry my hair like that at all!! LOL! Ignoring all the arguing, I'm actually just looking on the web to learn because I'm going through the transition phase. I'm only 3 weeks post but I'm trying. My hair is puffy afterwards. For the life of me, I cannot get my hair straight with the chi flat iron without my hair standing still like starch when I move my head LOL! Somebody is going to have to help me on this. I'm gonna try this tomorrow but I KNOW I probably won't swing this off LOL!

  • Wow, you black girls need to stop complaining and fighting about hair, you all have A LOT of thick shiny hair, you can do whatever u want with it, straighten it, wear it natural, wear it wavy, etc. that's what every girl wants! stop complaining about it!! would u prefer to have straight thin hair as mine? I don't think so

  • @maritz3 Hi! I just wanted to say that to an extent I agree. Our hair has variety but keep in mind this video makes it look a little easier than it is. Not to mention, keeping it like this is a whole other task. So yes we're grateful for our hair but maintanance is really crazy. Without chemicals, once it's straight, we can't get it wet. Working out is hard because perspiration messes it up. For some of us, those beautiful curls the model started out with don't last once they're dry. They frizz!

  • @maritz3 u black girls?!

  • @Babysmurf2fly1 Yeah, what's wrong with that?!

  • @maritz3 You make it sound like we are nothing u black girls have a name.

  • @Babysmurf2fly1 Sorry, still don't get it. I'm talking to a group of girls that I don't know personally and who are black, so "You black girls" seems correct. Then again, I'm from Brazil so I'm not familiar with what's offensive and what's not in the US. So how would you have phrase it?

  • @maritz3 child hush. smh. fyi: all black people don't have thick shiny hair. i mean thanks for thinking it though, on behalf of "us black girls", I appreciate it. Smh. I feel sorry for ignorant people sometimes.

  • @miszreese As I told another person in here, I see nothing wrong or ignorant with saying "You black girls" You are girls, you are black and I´m refering to all you, so nothing wrong with it. And yes, every black girl I know has amazing hair, so since it's what I've seen all my life I don't think it's "ignorant" to say it

  • @maritz3 As I've told other people, if you haven't met EVERY black girl/woman you should NOT make assumptions good or bad. It is ignorant. Ignorance = not knowing. And just how you hate and or complain about your hair we can too. I'm sorry you have fucked up hair but to tell another woman how to feel about her own head is ridiculous. Having thick hair is NOT always good to us, I wish mines would be a little thinner but I forgot you, some random ass nobody, told me to stop complaining.

  • @miszreese honey, go to theraphy, you're clearly unhappy. What I wrote was meant as a compliment, if u see an aggression where there's none then it's your problem, not mine. Lol at the "ignorance" thing and at some "random ass nobody" calling me ignorant because I don't know every black girl in the world. And yeah, stop complaining!

  • Comment removed

  • @maritz3 I hope your hair thickens up for you so you can be happy with yourself. For you to come on a How to straighten natural hair video with a black woman as a model... then tell us to stop complaining is crazy. What's even crazier is you're complaining as well. Smh.

  • @miszreese What's ur problem, she aint saying anything wrong. And we all do have beautiful natural hair until we mess it up with chemicals.

  • @lauranaabdo Smh... read. I didn't say we didnt have beautiful hair. I said every black female does not have thick hair.

  • @maritz3 its ok. i dont feel what you said was wrong at all. pay no attention to these girls. even if you said you beautiful black girls theyd still find something to argue about. its not even that serious.

as far as thin hair do you straighten alot? i heard applying excessive amounts of heaat can thin you hair as well as wearing ponytail. :)

  • @maritz3 okay you need to check yourself, not ALL black girls have that kind of thick hair i'd LOVE to have that hair but mines short and thin. don't generalize.

  • if you can do all this with a flat iron, why were relaxers invented?

  • im natural and there is NO way my hair is gonna be that straight after a blowdry

  • @donnad23 Try an ionic blowdryer and a natural brush :)

  • What kind of brush and flat iron are these? I see two different flat irons

  • What kind of brush and flat iron are these?

  • Shrinkage is a beautiful thing. It really does allow a lot of versatility.

  • i love her hair!..i wish i could blowdry my natural kinky hair that straight..its stubborn tho lol...btw what type of silicone oil was used?

  • I wear my hair natural but I loved this video. It does not promote chemicals. We can wear our hair in all kinds of styles! That the beauty of our hair. I do my oldest daughters hair liked this every two weeks but I use heat protectant before I use the blow dryer.

  • Why did you not put the heat protectant on her hair before you blow dried the hair?

  • My natural hair is difficult to straiten. I've tried everything, but it won't work. I wonder how hot that blow dryer was.

  • seriously ppl we see hair that looks like our texture but it's not. The models hair looked very kinky but it wasn't tightly coiled. The tightly coiled part is the challenge. The curls at the back of my head are kinky but loose thus when blowdried like that, they straighten quickly.

As far as shrinkage. I've heard that kinky/curly textured hair can show up to 25% shrinkage. I don't think this is accurate, seems more like 50% w/ my hair.

  • Great video. I'm nowhere near straightening my twa but will note for future use!

  • She has beautiful hair

  • and by the end of the day her hair will be puffy again

  • @xLavenderBlossomx No her hair wont be puffy her hair is heat trained

  • @Meg62685 lmao ''heat trained'' XD she would need to striaghten it everyday to keep it like that.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx I have the exact same hair type as her and never had a perm i apply heat to my heair every two weeks all you have to do is wrap it.

  • @Meg62685 and by then you have an afro

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Nope its still straight the more times you apply heat to natural hair the more it resists reverting to its natural curl hence the term "heat trained" this is why women who go natural and want to keep their natural curl pattern avoid heat. Do you wear weave or have a perm bc is seems like you are hating on the fact that someone can be natural and keep their hair straight you must be bald.

  • @Meg62685 if her hair was heat trained she wouldnt have nappy naps and peady peas. and i haven't permed my hair since 2008. my hair isn't nappy it's curly and i'm able to hot comb it once a month before it looks frizzy again, and it's past my shoulders...nice try though :)

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Hair texture in a heat trained state depends on how tight her nautral hair is this womans curl pattern could be way tighter if she had not been applying heat. Black people do not have one hair type so someones dfenition of a loose curl pattern can diifer depending on what their hair looks like, Im still convinced you are bald if you werent you wouldnt be hating on the video :-)

  • @Meg62685 i know hair texture depends on the person's race. girls who are still black but are mixed with white or hispanic or asian background have better hair. and btw you can think what you want my hair is still better and longer than yours :)

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Lol ok you sound like a trajic uneducated mulatto, Black people have different hair textures im not talking about mixed people.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx There are plenty of channels with BLACK women who have long natural hair RusticBeauty, ChellyWellzShop, LongHairDontCare ect so again you are a hater you have no proof that your hair is long and healthy.

  • @Meg62685 those BLACK women are far and few between. the ones who wear weaves and have nasty looking hair are out numbering them. and i dont need to prove how my hair looks. you're just another jealous dark girl who is mad at light skinned girls with better hair. BYE

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Aaaw your mother never taught you that when you assume you make an ass out of yourself! Im a lightskinned Black person and you are a trajic mulatto. From the comments you make it is clear that you have an issue with your black side so why even watch videos like this? You are just as bad as the racist white person who gets on youtube and watches videos relating to black people.

  • @Meg62685 I know I'm late but...Sis...why are you wasting your time arguing with this idiot woman? As soon as she said mixed, Hispanic or whatever she said have "better" hair..it was obvious she wasn't worth listening to...leave her ignorant ass alone.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx Wow what a hateful comment. What is better hair? Non kinky? Good hair=healthy hair. Dark skin=beautiful. Being light skinned isn't everything it's cracked up to be ya know. If the sun were to get too close to this earth, those dark skinned girls would survive.

  • @xLavenderBlossomx You are so ignorant. Looser hair does not equal better hait. HEALTHY hair= good/better hair.

  • my hair does the same thing, that's why i hate wearing it curly !

but anyway, she has beautiful hair !

  • wooooow beautiful job!
