Love this movie! They should make the movies on the original historical dolls first then the newer ones. Don't like how they are retiring the old dolls too, would love to collect them all but they are too expensive, luckily I did get 1 of the dolls for Christmas.

I love this film, they never really show the movies on television after they premiere it! I only saw Molly's movie once and that was when it premiered on Disney. I own an American Girl doll however its not any of the historical dolls, though I wish I owned Addy! I'm a woman, and yes, it may be true that women had limited rights, but there were still very important women during the 18th century. @ShilohLovexo Dude it would have sucked. There where no showers (people look way to clean in these movies when in reality they would have been dirty. Traveling would have taken months . No cell phones. I think the one good think about back then was how polite kids where . The clothes would have been soooo hard to put on and keep clean ? I can barely image life w/o a washer and dryer. And the war during this time period was very very bad.

Women and minorities had no rights, and don't get me started on the medicine, back then there were a number of diseases that didn't have a cure like they do today.

But if you would like to go back to a time when people were friendly and courteous start with yourself, then when you have your own kids train them to be like that.

Disease would spread very quickly, and for the girls, those corsets would've made you faint from not breathing in enough air and maybe break a rib or two. And the hems would've trailed in the mud. No cell phones, no cars, no washing or drying machines. Sexism, racism, and ageism would've been prevalent in those days too.
