  • Awsome, I can feel the fear of the original poem of mister Edgar Allan Poe. I love your idea of transform the raven into the reaper and your ending his great !

P.S I'm so sorry for my awful english.

  • Honestly, what is wrong with everyone, we are talking about someone who is 15! Take a look around and see what most 15 year olds are doing nowadays.

It was brilliant! Can't wait to see what you're doing at 40!

  • I compleatly agree. Most 15 year olds are out drinking and shit.

I loved this. The emotion was so rich and raw. The imagry of the raven being a reaper is very good as well.

  • I had imagined things quite differently..

Besides, in the poem it says Chamber door, not house door...

And well..the action is not very convincing...

specially at the beginning...come on "its okay"?The guy was madly in love with her, and feel frustrated...

Im not trying to be harsh, but you could have stayed closer to the original, and it would have been more enjoyable.....

  • I agree with you. But I guess you need to keep in mind this was the fourth movie I had done, I was 15, and it was for an English class.

I hope you enjoyed it anyways.

  • Very good directing, and the ending was great. That is my favorite poem by one of my favorite authors.

  • Wow...not bad for amatures.

:) The acting was iffy, but it was pulled through by good directing!!!

  • However, your actor delivers the line as if he is afraid and angry. As if he is already considering that the bird may be some daemon but if you read the poem closely you see that he develops this fear a few verses later. Check out the reading Vincent Price did. It's here on youtube somewhere.

  • This criticism is meant to be constructive. You or your actor misread a fair amount of the poem and lost all of the facets of the character. Pay more attention to what is written first, then construct your character, then rehearse, then film. For example: when then raven first enters the room and sits on the bust. The line from the poem before the character speaks: "Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,

By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,"

  • i liked it but you could have had the narrating that is my fav about the poem lol

  • Very nice!!!!!!! Great job guys!

  • awsome

  • Awsome yo!!!!!

  • Great ! Not pro but great, the initiative in itself is brilliant.

  • I'm fine with you not liking it, that's your opinion. But I'm curious about how I "skipped half the poem"? I actually doubled it by adding a scene from another poem.

  • I'm pretty sure for matters of making this a more concise movie, the poem had to be condensed. If you want the poem go read the poem.

  • wow that was great

  • Wow, that was great, I have been looking for something like that on youtube for a long time but have never been able to find anything. Great Job.

  • wowo i said wow is very craetive awoseme video you put a lot thought to this graet 5 stars u are all that and 5 bags of chips never let any tell anything driffrent. .

  • such good work. kind dislike that voice representing the raven, anyway love it.

  • Great vid and I love Poe, but it's spelt "Allen" not Allan. It's really cool anyway!

  • That's what I thought too, in fact the first cut that everyone saw said Allen. But my textbook, and all my Poe books said Allan.

  • Oops! Just checked mine and you're right. Sorry, I stand corrected. Still a good vid, though.

  • I sent this to my young nephew who is an English major. :-)

  • This is Soo great!

I love the poem, and I think you guys did that very-Very well. and the ghost-effect on the end is great!

  • Was this done for a class? The directing was great, the acting of "Arthur" I think? The main guy with the long hair, it could use some work. It also woulda been cool if you coulda used a real raven/crow for those scenes! =3

  • I totally agree with you. And yes, it was done for an English class.

  • nice work but how did you get the ghost effect at the end?

  • The idea and mood is good, but the acting needs a bit more work. Considering the clothing and scenery, it looks a bit too staged.

  • Very very nice, respect

  • that is an awesome interpretation of "The Raven" very great re-enactment..

  • wow!

    amazing!

  • Great re-enactment! The poems in the beginning matched very well. I thought you had a very good feel to it, and you did a really good job!
