It seems like the midwife wasn't moving it around very much! When I went one week we found the babys heart beat in the middle and then a few weeks later the baby was curled up to my far right side!
Seeing your expressions change made me cry. I know that all to well. Thank GOD my baby and I are okay. We've been through so much together, the death of my little brother, & a major bloody gory false alarm which I was sure I'd lost her. So much stress on top of being pregnant caused me to go through that EXACT thing you did, and all I can say is in moments where you feel that helpless, let down, disbelief, you have to turn to God. Truly it's up to him and him alone :) So sit back and let it be.
(cont.) ...feeling you had. I probably wouldn't had been so worried, except that I had not been noticing a lot of movement, and was a little worried anyway. She assured me after we had found the heartbeat, that everything is perfect and lack of feeling a lot of movement could be from he/she sitting so low. I have since boughten a Fetal Doppler and listen in often and get such joy knowing my little one is growing and thriving in my womb!
@mrsashleyrenee Ugh, so glad everything was OK. That must have been scary indeed! FYI, you may want to use your doppler sparingly since it's a form of radiation. That may be why she/he was "hiding" from it.
(cont.) ...as my babies tend to be very active! I have a small frame, so I feel them very early. We got to our appt. and everything was fine. Weight, urine test, blood pressure... then went to listen, and nothing. our Midwife had to leave the room for a min, and my husband and I had this sinking feeling. When she came back she searched and searched and after 10 min of looking she found it! This baby is riding so low, it is still tucked underneath my pubic bone. So I know the exact.. (cont.)
I came across some of your older videos and started watching this one and I must tell you, I had this SAME experience at our Midwife appointment last week. I am now about 19 1/2 weeks pregnant with our 3rd baby and have been feeling great! I have such smooth and pleasant pregnancies that it take a while to really feel uncomfortable. I had mentioned to my husband (prior to our mw visit) that I hadn't been feeling the baby move as much that past week and was a little worried... (cont.)
Oh, how scared you must have been!! I had really sharp pains and some bleeding on my 6th week, which freaked me out. I visited a new doctor that I didn't know, and she basically told me to be prepared for a miscarriage. It was the coldest, most horrible feeling, just WAITING for the days to go by to find out if your kid will survive. I'm on my 15th week now, and the baby is doing fine and growing fast :)
@tintzki Hi Christine, It was totally freaky. So glad to hear your baby is doing great. Soon you'll hit your halfway mark and then it literally flies by. Enjoy every minute. Are you going to find out the sex?

Did you have an "anterior placenta". I do with this pregnancy & it made those first few fetal heartrate checks a lil'tricky.

@Shannindhall No, I didn't. I think my little dude was just hiding :).
