  • could i get a working holiday visa for Japan without a diploma ? i couldn't finish my school for some personnal reason so i were just wondering if it would be a problem...(sorry for my english i'm french)

  • @Gamerl1fe . You can. Theres no education requirements. Though in Japan its more looked down uppon if you didn't pass high school, and a lot of people go on to univercity here, so when you get here, its best to keep that a secrit.

  • @kanadajin3 Yup, that's the plan, we will buy the ticket to Japan and a cheap one way to Korea or something...as I will be applying for another working holiday for either Korea, Hong Kongg, Taiwan or Australia.

  • @kanadajin3 I don't know I sent a reply but maybe went to your inbox... Haha. Yuichi's friends found cheaper flights in Bankok and trains around Asia, which is why we're going to Asia first. They said as long as I have my ticket ((and since I will be traveling before getting to Japan, I also needed to show I had $3,500 saved)) to Bangkok I gett to pick up my passport

  • @KatLovesTokyo . I see. However, once you get to Japan, you will need to show imigration your return ticket.

If you show it when you get your visa, they put it on file and they can see it when you arrive at customs in Japan. So you don't need to show it again. But if you don't show it when you get your visa, when you get to the customs desk you will have to show it. So don't forget to buy your ticket before you leave bangkok.

  • you have something in your nose .... You must get a lot of stare since you in japan...

  • @crocopde . no I don't have it anymore.

  • I applied for my visa and I aso had to leave my passport too....pick it up next week. I do not have a to Tokyo and back ticket... I am traveling through the USA and from la to Bangkok, then getting the ticket in Asia cause cheaper.

  • @KatLovesTokyo . If your visa is working holiday you should had had to show that when you got your visa. I hope you seriously plan this ahead. If you want to buy another ticket in bangkok you have to disimbark in bangkok, which means you will need a return ticket from bangkok TO canada, Also if you plan to buy a ticket there, for same day as flying, I don't think its going to be cheaper, your going to end up with a lot of hassle possibly.

  • Thanks for this helpful video. I appreciate it.

I live in Canada. My question pertains to the return ticket.

Specifically this line of the application package:

"A period of stay of up to 6 months will be initially granted at port of entry. This may be extended up to another 6 months by the Immigration Authorities in Japan"

It is my intent to spend one year there if possible.

What was the date marked on your return ticket?

Did you lose any money once granted extended stay etc?

    Thank you!

  • @brohamdj . You gotta buy a ticket thats good for before 6 months, then cancle it or change it when you get there. And bring the return ticket to the airport the canadian Fkers are sooo strick, I brought it to get my visa, but noone said I had to bring it to airport too. When I got there, I had trouble, lucky I had WIFI on iphone and could go into my email and show them it. Almost missed my flight.

  • Hey again, Its me :P the annoying guy who asks too many questions. Who did you put in for "Guarantor or reference in Japan" Is it the company manager? I am just wondering because I saw a job posting from Heart English School. And they said I'm not eligible for working visa sponsorship (I knew that) but if I were to obtain a WHV then I may be considered. So im looking to apply for a WHV asap!! Thanks

  • @MrWillager . For working holiday visa you dont need a job before you come to Japan. I didnt get a job till i got here. I put my boyfriends name. Usually what you do is get a whv, come here, find a job either shorly before you come or shortly after, and then the company your working for might sponcer you to get a actual work visa, which allows you to stay longer.
