A lot of people LOST money from the buildings being burnt. No i am not talking about the 'rich calgarians' as most of the units had not even been sold yet...
I doubt anyone working on the project would start the fire. Most of them never even got paid for the work that they did, and most likely never will.
It was a condo project that was under construction (Wilderness Ridge) at Three Sisters Mountain Village. Arson is suspected. One of the three small apartment buildings was pretty much complete and the other two were at various stages of completion. The three townhouses that had been completed were scorched, but undamaged.
@outdoorlife25 Yeap arson makes sense. The project development and sales folks for these condos were saying that the project was a disaster before the fire; That many people were going to loose money and the project mortgage guys were going to go after everyone for every penny they could to recoup.
@outdoorlife25 I knew a guy that had pre-purchased a condo in there and months before the fire and himself along with other people locked into purchases were really scared because of major financial losses they were forseeing. I heard the night of the fire the only person in any of the buildings that burned was a guy working on the project, go figure. It seems like insurance fraud. I wonder if someone got paid off! I'm pretty sure some people saved a lot of money with these buildings burning.
Oh god, were those at three sisters, Timberline Lodges? If so, I BUILT IT IN 2007
