Not a continuation, more like a parallel version of it. Tenchi Muyo! is the original story, Tenchi Universe (sometimes called Tenchi Genesis) is the more "proper" story, since Tenchi Muyo! was cut short in the 90's until it was finished a few years ago. Tenchi In Tokyo is a third version where he moves to Tokyo mid-way through the story.

tenchi GXP isn't that bad, it gives air time to a lot of side characters, it also let's go beyond just tenchi, and it was very well done, give it shot, if you can look beyond tenchi not being it much, you will enjoy it

Um lets see now OVA1: episodes 1-7 OVA2: episodes 8-14 OVA3: Is Crap. GXP is just a side story. All the OVA's are Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki as a whole. When it aired on Cartoon Network OVA1and 2 were just called Tenchi Muyo. So there! :P

It goes to tenchi muyo ryo ohki which is labeled episode 1 of tht series, but is actually episode 15 of tenchi muyo under a different name because it is a different OVA. I think sometimes that Kiyone gets a little annoying becasue she's so repetative. Every single episode, she's says " i hate mihoshi, my life sucks cause of her" and then thirty seconds later she's all tender and says " oh mihoshi, i love you know matter how dumb you are." WTF? It gets really irritating!

You know guys, one of the main reasons it seems Ryoko and Tenchi get along so well is simply because Ryoko is a whole lot more open with her feelings. It's that same carefree attitude that wins over a lot of her fans. At the same time though it's not necessarily winning over Tenchi. He very likely still sees her as a friend, though he clearly knows how she feels. Not trying to say nothing could happen, but it doesn't make them the definitive couple of the show. That is still pretty ambiguous.

You want a "definitive couple"? That would be Tenchi and Sakuya from Tenchi in Tokyo. Now THERE was sparks that wasn't just one-sided. Here in the other two shows, it's still pretty up for grabs. Naturally, it's more fun to focus on Ryoko's feelings 'cause she's open. Admittedly, focusing on Ayeka's feelings would get rather boring. That's simply because she's more reserved and traditional - natural traits being raised as royalty. Unfortunately this show seems to be a tad biased against Ayeka.

Actually, it has everything to do with this show, or more specifically the beginning of this one. I would never lower myself and bow my head to any king or emperor like on this series, which is what Obama has done in real life.
