What I hate about Rock Band is the fact that you cannot have 2 guitars in Band Play. I can't even count the times I got into an argument just so I can have the guitar because bass sucks.
Rock band has a full band and its easier to play (Well to me and my friend who owns it) but theres also guitar hero world tour which has full band. I prefer guitar hero 3 because its my fave from the series. But i heard rock band 3 is coming out soon and their gonna have a keyboard in the band. Still i prefer guitar hero even tho i might get rock band soon for my birthday, I'll have both :P

It wasn't punished for it's instruments or mistakes because although it wasn't a new genre, it was a new intellectual property. The GH drums are very quiet but they're also lackluster. I never owned a set, but my friend's deteriorated very quickly and became unreliable (dropped notes, etc.). The RB drums are louder, but they are more reliable.
not realy becuse Guitar Hero thought on it long before rock band came out It was talk about they were going to make drums to Guitar hero 3 but then they had to use much much more time so they didnt do it
1- rockband2 is the best ever, 2- you dont have to have like4 people palyin at once... u can go solo and 3 or even 3 you dont need a big party, but yes ur right rockband is made for more then 1 but its just as fun solo...

RB is far better. the guitar game play is pretty much the same but RB has more songs. playing the drums is possibly more fun then Guitar and the singing is pretty much the same as sing star. the only thing that lets it down is the RB guitar is harder to play but you can always just buy a GH Guitar it works on both games.
No.... It does help to have cymbals, but it's not realistic to have the hi-hat to the right of the snare. I play real drums, so I would know. The bass pedal for GHWT also sucks balls, and the RB2 pedal doesn't. The majority of GHWT drumsets at launch were faulty or broken, not the case for RB2. The guitars are practically the same thing. 5 buttons, a strum bar, whammy, and solo buttons. GHWT's touch slider is horrible because it's TOO sensitive. Buttons are better. RB2 wins.
the strum bar is to hard to push and i have to jam it down and also the people look dumb with their size 25 shoes and also i play guitar and i prefer the giutar for GH and also all my friends play with the GH guitar on Rb which is the dumbest note shape a square and my friend plays drums and he prefers the GH drums over RB

The Rock Band 2 drums had way, way less broken sets shipped out. I don't care what you people think, RB2 was rated higher than GHWT by Gamespot, IGN, VGchatrz, and was named the music game of the year. No matter how many times you say it, Rock Band 2 still wins.

The people who made Guitar Hero 1, Guitar Hero 2, and Guitar Hero: Rock the 80s are the same people who made Rock Band 1 and 2. So really, Harmonix has 5 games whereas Neversoft has 3. 80% of Harmonix staff are musicians, so they know what they're doing. That's also one of the reasons why the RB2 setlist is better than GHWT. I do admit though that the GH3 setlist is better than RB1.

i have guitar hero 3 and rock band and i think guitar hero 3 is still much much better. better harder songs, character selecter, guitar selecter, and rockbands frets,(game play) whilst you are playing a song, it seems very depressing in a way because rectangular buttons come up, theres hardly any colour, graphics are crap, and the hardest song in the whole game is green grass and high tides and its so easy.
Umm.. You can select your rock band character and guitar, and the "Better" songs are just opinion.. Rectangle = circle when all you have to do is strum when it comes down. The graphics are waay better than Guitar Hero's blocky characters, and not to mention the drummer doesn't look like a robot, unlike his GH3 counterpart.. The hardest song is definately not GG+HT, because there's hundreds of other songs to choose from. Seriously. Get some facts first, could ya? You make this too easy.

I have both I recommend Rockband because the songs you download form the first Rockband will transfer seemlessly to Rockband 2. This is my opinion say all you want.
lol, or just make songs available for download to replace songs you dont want. that would be cool instead of having to go through the whole guitar explorer process. and let people submit fan made charts and songs. so have like a whole database that u can just get and play. that would be amazing
well, rockband was pretty damn close to being a "copy" but it isnt a copy because of the added drums and microphone... plus guitar solos and the solo buttons, but the notes were pretty much the same idea

Umm, wireless microphones are not necessarily better. Generally, they have lag time, which makes singing near impossible. A wired mic is just fine. And the rest of RB is wireless.. Good job with that arguement.

Now, Wireless has been improved greatly in GH4, much better than Rock Band has now. Where did you hear they have lag time? Nothing too serious, what, 0,08 MS? Yeah. Singing is the easiest thing to do, even with lag, so I'd say if you can't sing with lag, you're one huge failure.
I like having both..., But I don't, Guitar hero is boring at times, so is rock band, but totaly fun! I like the setlists in them that's why they are almost equal. (To me.) good reveiw, but learn the parts of the guitar, rock band has better songs, RIGHT NOW to me. It depends on the mood and I like rock band more. It's like 3 games in one, it takes longer to beat and master, even though I can beat any guitar expert tour, looking foward to R.B.2 and G.H.W.T., so 5 star reveiw.
(in addition to my comment below) not saying that GH sucks but what i'm trying to say (hopefully from a neutral standpoint) is that, it depends on the person and what YOU prefer to play...since both companies are coming out with additions and enhancements to their games..i wouldn't be surprised if both got an equal rating.
i think people debate over the two games because i think its a preference thing and that probably some of them are bandwagon jumpers (i don't know) but this guy's review of both games has valid points RB shines through group play while GH is more soloist..BOTH games have both ups and downs from all perspectives (gameplay, songlist, options,features, online play, storage (:P) cost,durability and life in the game market etc.) I "preferably" like RB because of personal reasons.
Halo is actually one of the best games out there. If you're one of those Cock of Doody 4: Modern gayfuckstupid fans, try playing Halo for a change. Oh, and don't tell me Halo is sucks because it's on the Top 5 games in the world.

I have both I recommend Rockband because the songs you download form the first Rockband will transfer seemlessly to Rockband 2. This is my opinion say all you want.

lol, or just make songs available for download to replace songs you dont want. that would be cool instead of having to go through the whole guitar explorer process. and let people submit fan made charts and songs. so have like a whole database that u can just get and play. that would be amazing

well, rockband was pretty damn close to being a "copy" but it isnt a copy because of the added drums and microphone... plus guitar solos and the solo buttons, but the notes were pretty much the same idea

Umm, wireless microphones are not necessarily better. Generally, they have lag time, which makes singing near impossible. A wired mic is just fine. And the rest of RB is wireless.. Good job with that arguement.

Now, Wireless has been improved greatly in GH4, much better than Rock Band has now. Where did you hear they have lag time? Nothing too serious, what, 0,08 MS? Yeah. Singing is the easiest thing to do, even with lag, so I'd say if you can't sing with lag, you're one huge failure.

I like having both..., But I don't, Guitar hero is boring at times, so is rock band, but totaly fun! I like the setlists in them that's why they are almost equal. (To me.) good reveiw, but learn the parts of the guitar, rock band has better songs, RIGHT NOW to me. It depends on the mood and I like rock band more. It's like 3 games in one, it takes longer to beat and master, even though I can beat any guitar expert tour, looking foward to R.B.2 and G.H.W.T., so 5 star reveiw.

(in addition to my comment below) not saying that GH sucks but what i'm trying to say (hopefully from a neutral standpoint) is that, it depends on the person and what YOU prefer to play...since both companies are coming out with additions and enhancements to their games..i wouldn't be surprised if both got an equal rating.

i think people debate over the two games because i think its a preference thing and that probably some of them are bandwagon jumpers (i don't know) but this guy's review of both games has valid points RB shines through group play while GH is more soloist..BOTH games have both ups and downs from all perspectives (gameplay, songlist, options,features, online play, storage (:P) cost,durability and life in the game market etc.) I "preferably" like RB because of personal reasons.
