i slept in the old nursey/ruffin sterling room by myself, and my dad slept in the william winters room/peach room.. Im only 11. It was beutiful. We got to walk up a different stair case, not the main one, and we saw two creepy paintings up there. im posting a video the weekend, so if you would see it that would be great.

Once I was at Mirtles Plantation and i saw a Skunk and a dead dog. It was pretty scary. I had nightmars evrnight. Now I´m 11 and I could go back there very courageous.

to the people who dont think its haunted let me tell u this. i spend a night there last month and i saw shadows heard stuff and im pretty sure its not a person,i never beleived in ghosts before i went there it is very haunted

Hate to burst your bubbles,,,,,,,,,but the story of Chloe is made up. The Mother and 2 of three children all died from Yellow Fever. The oldest daughter lived well into adulthood. The story says Chloe killed two girls in reality only one girl died and as I said that was from yellow fever. The story was created after the plantation became a tourist attraction to get more people to visit. I am not saying it is not haunted. I am only saying the legend of Chloe is untrue.

I'm not going to debate if it's haunted or not because I have not been there YET. However the story of Chloe is fiction. It's important to acknowledge these things as they are fact.

@andreyomama Sweety I am from that area. All of the Facts I stated can be supported by historical records. So sweety I suggest you get your facts straight. Look up the acutal history of the place it is much more interesting than the story they tell you on the tour.

@andreyomama The story is made up. I've been on several tours all around St Francisville to all the plantation homes, I read up all the history and the history versus the story don't add up. I've also visited the Myrtles several times since I only live a few minutes away from it. The plantation is indeed haunted, as I've had many experiences, but the story is untrue. Many graves and plantations wouldn't exist if it were.

The Myrtles Ghosts are real I have seen them. I know that the young girls playing are real because I saw them on the plantation playing as I was stepping off the porch one day I know it was the girls because I was the only kid there at the time. I also know the mother is real because I saw her on the stairs. The servant Chloe I didn't see but I wouldn't doubt that she is there somewhere.

Yeah, yeah, thumbs down me. But I grew up in St.Francisville. I've been there a hundred times over. If you want to thumbs down somebody, why don't you take the time to research Chloe (often referred to as "Cleo"). She never existed.

As for the guy who "died on the stairs in his bride's arms"... there is newspaper proof that he died downstairs.

Not to mention, read comments about people's stays there. NO GHOSTLY ACTIVITY.

I don't believe it's made up. I heard that Chloe might not be real, but I know that this is the time of the slaves, which means that something like that may have happened. I grew up in a haunted house, and they are VERY real. I plan to go to the plantation very soon. Oh, they're real.
