Actually it is both St Martin and Sint Maarten. The island is half French and half Dutch, hence the 2 different names, depending on which side of the island you are on. Princess Juliana airport is on the dutch side, so technically all of the vids of planes landing are at Sint Maarten.

And, the plane wasn't ascending again, just performing a landing flare or adjusting his glide slope. The sound you here at the end of the video is the reverse thrust after landing. I'm a pilot, sir. May I ask what your credentials are?
