This show was on TV when TV was good; the last Golden Age of TV was definitely the 70's, 80's and 90's. I remember watching this on TV as a newcomer in America in the 80's. As "Dukes of Hazzard" was set in Hazzard County, Georgia, they actually did have a portion of the state flag on the roof of their car.

From 1956-2001, the Confederate battle flag, not to be confused with the Stars & Bars, made up the right two-thirds of the Georgia state flag.

The Stars & Bars had a varying number of white stars in a blue field just like the U.S. flag, but only had two vertical red stripes flanking one white stripe.
