  • i'm amazed that such a young person is listening to a guitar god like Steve much less playing like one, very good taste and technique btw, keep up the good work!!!!! You are and idol in the making :)

  • You rock girl...Get in a band...like yesterday.

  • Awesome, I had forgotten how much I like this song. Thanks for putting it out there and Great job on the cover!

  • Hello tylor hope you come out with more songs u play pretty good, I wonder if there are a way to contact you?

  • Wow, this is sooo fucking amazing. I can't believe anyone disliked it either. Bunch of jealous faggots they all. This was flawless, I wish I could play like you. I hope you get a band one day.

  • You're precisely the type of person I would like to work with. Skilled, young, fresh eyed and female. I have always wanted to work with a female guitar player.

Carry on rocking, maybe someday we can record something.

  • Marry me?

  • Awesome, Vai is undercredited. He writes some of the less wankerish virtuoso music out there compared to guys like Yngwie.

  • Can I be your drummer?!

  • Hey Taylor, you're hot.

  • @barno01 trolololol!

  • @FALLlNGnREVERSE you may be a trol pal, but i aint.

  • i cannot believe 6 ppl disliked this!!! their obviously jealous of your talent!! YOUR ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! ignore all the bad comments coz they're all jealous!!! ur gonna be HUGE!! THE NEXT BIG GUITAREST I BET!!! AMAZIN! worth my time

  • @LiamT15cp Thank you. I am working on some crazy stuff but it also has a groove. I just figured out how to record with ny Boss GT-10 to the iMac so it is coming together.

  • @johntg123 do you think you could do some lessons aswell..?

    sulfur by slipknot please?

  • You'll be big! ;)

  • she sold her soul to the devil.....

  • this video is NOT BAD....

  • You are amazing!!! How did u get into guitar is your dad a shredder or somethging? love it!!

  • @ljames270383 I actually started on the piano. My dad is a classically trained pianist. after about three weeks I told him I wanted to play electric guitar I was 7 years old at the time. On my 8th birthday my mom and dad bought me a 3/4 side guitar

  • @johntg123 That's 3/4 size guitar.

  • So do you have any of your own work? Have you written any music?

  • @Godklaw I have stuff I am working on but ultimately I want to be in a killer rock band. I am still developing on the guitar - I have a lot of ideas I am working on.

  • Great cover, you nailed it! (especially the divebomb in the intro that most people fail at)

You should post videos more often! I'm sure i'm not the only one that would like to hear more of you. :P

  • Do you have a goal, dream or aspiration utilizing your talent?

  • @Godklaw Yeah I want to be a professional guitarist. I want to play in a killer rock band.

  • Sorry typing on an IPAD....

    Tryst should be Just.

  • You have got it, technique, flair and you do it with very little effort. Ignore the detractors because I don't see any of them doing anything that comes close. I had a video of two hand tapping techniques on the bass, I got bashed by a couple of people for not "grooving". Even though those same had videos tryst prove they couldn't touch my techniques. Do your thing you are a natural talent.

  • great work, although i am not in that metal stuff i really like it.

did i mention that i find you very sweet looking, too? ;)

  • how many teachers have you learned from? you dad/uncle/brother has to be a guitarist or something no way you just taught yourself at home.

  • @PalParkTigers My dad is a classically trained pianist he does not play the guitar. Really I am self taught. When I was 8 years old I had a teacher for about 8 months then I went to a music school for awhile - to play in a band format but no real teaching there.

  • with the talent you have, you should work on making a better recording, in order to showcase yourself. you have too much talent to allow yourself to sound like that. i hope you find success, however you define it.

  • @cheezyridr I figured out in the last week or two how to connect my Boss GT-10 to my iMac and record in garage band (I have version 3) - I can also import on to a video track so I hope to be using this as my recording technique in the future

  • Impressive no doubt, are you self taught, and how long have you been playing for?

  • @Hypermantrasoul 7 years, I started when I was 8 and I am now 15.

  • @johntg123 Very impressive, third question if you don't mind me asking, how many hrs. a day to you play on average?

  • @Hypermantrasoul About one hour a day. But my practice is very focused - I cover a lot in the one hour. I start off with about 70 very difficult exercises most of which I wrote - that takes about 7 to 10 minutes then guitar songs then work on new stuff - new techniques ideas tones etc.

  • your great and you should call ibanez and tell themto watch your video then ask them to endorse you or yall go somewhere else steve vai also has his own youtube channel i would post it on his maybe he could talk to ibanez for you keep the chops kid you rock

  • @sabrewolf1030 dude I want an Ibanez JEM V7 so bad. My dad could make payments but he does not have $3000.

  • madneeeeeess:P

  • hi taylor ... how you been ? try to upload more videos !! I will see you later....

  • My God damn, Taylor. Terrific job on this cover. I think you played every note on your guitar and then twice that !! hahaha. Thanks for sharing and great upload : D Good day to you.

  • Nice playing,some guitar lessons?

  • @Ibanezibor No lessons

  • @johntg123

    Yea,me too,where did you learn play solo's?

  • @Ibanezibor Listening to songs and copying note for note.

  • @johntg123

Yes,a lot of time but worth it ; )

  • you really are fantastic and I also agree with some of the other comments I would love to hear you take on other genere' Keep it up and I hope you go far

  • holy crap... kudos to you! thats freakin fantastic ive been playin for nearly 10 years and cant play as good as that, keep up the amazing work!

  • What a fingers !! \m/

  • The world's best 13 years old girl guitarist is growing and she's better than ever....and she's also very nice.

  • Fantastic !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Could you corver free bird by lynyrd skynyrd....?

  • @allan1064 I did several years ago with a band in Orange County.

  • mother of god!

  • great skill

  • Epic guitar work my good dudette...keep it metal!

  • Cool song. But it's not beautifull at all, this crazy shreding thing

  • A Great Guitarist!!! And U Got a Drummer Saying that :P And One Who Has Only A Few People In Mind That Can Say about them That THey Play Guitar As Good! But Since Ur 16 , U Got Great Space For a more Musical Approach to Your playing :) U know everyday there is room for development! and you sure make good use of that free time and "space"!! Mind Sharing Ur Favourite Artists ?? Bands and Guitarist some of them!

  • You say you don't like Jazz, but it would be great practice for you with all the good progressions and changes. Maybe as you get older it might grow on you. Most all the Jam Band music has Jazz roots. Love to hear what you would do with some Freddie King blues tunes. Would help with that feel thing some folks think you need to embrace. Great work, keep on Rockin'....

  • @carlocases I've started playing some blues - blues scales, Brush with the Blues by Jeff Beck, The Sky is Cryin by SRV, Red House by Jimi Hendrix by Jimi Hendrix - I have a much better connection with the Blues than Jazz

  • @carlocases Also my goal is to play "real" blues not shredders blues.

  • it would be great fun to see u go into a Guitar Center and be like just playing it off like oh, is this a guitar, where does it plug into..oh ...and then have u wailing like that lol...that would be an extreme video!

  • @baretta369 The Guitar Center where I live has an Ibanez JEM V7 - I would love to play The Attitude Song on that!

  • @johntg123

    -Go to guitar center

-Annoyingly say "this guitar has flowers on it! I want to try it"

    -Pick up Jem7V

    -Play the Attitude Song

    -???

    -Profit

  • @no1spretty You're comment has just made my day.

  • @no1spretty

    - Instant 2,000,000 subscribers.

  • @no1spretty win.

  • damnnn,... i'd really like to see you play some japanese rock stuff > < particularly from the GazettE

it is most likely not as "difficult" as the things you'd play, but it does sound hella good

    anyways, yur amazing :)

  • Excellent! You have a promising music career ahead of you. Your technique is very precise. I'd recommend trying a cover of Vai's "Tender Surrender" with an emphasis on dynamics, tone and expression.

  • Yo chill out and give us some smooth groovy stuff. This shredding is more than impressive, but damn, relax haha. All n all, purely amazing. Good luck finding your Victor Wooten

  • @1W3S7EY1 Shredding is one way of developing mechanically on the guitar. I am also working on rhythm guitar, percussive guitar, elements of flamenco guitar - old school funk guitar stuff...not really into Jazz - but love Al Demeola and Alan Holdsworth.

  • @johntg123 I completely agree about developing your skill, but on the other hand, id like to see what you can do with a down tempo rhythm, something like John Mayer. Tho i hate him as a person, he can sure play.

  • @1W3S7EY1 I play Gravity once and a while - I love that song

  • Yes! Love it - amazing! Are you near florida so I can come play bass?

  • @flossflink Southern California

  • My favourite Vai song too. Great job! :)

  • Hay, dear girl!

I have one question for you.

Can you do little cover of:

Knocking on Heavens Door - Solo 1 and 2

You Shook me All Night long - solo

Still Got The Blues - lead intro

I would like to see the way you'll play this things.. :) Thanks, in advance!

  • can you play some of SLAYER for example ? or some of ICED EARTH

  • @MrJuanpablo2233 I played Behind the Crooked Cross years ago - great down picking intro

  • you going to upload more videos ??

  • @MrJuanpablo2233 Oh yeah I have stuff to upload now I am figuring out my Boss GT-10 so I can run through my Imac to produce a better quality video. I will in about a week or two upload another video

  • you are the bomb!! I simply am amazed at your talent+incredible guitar playing!!!! You just sit there+totally shred as though you're playing the riffs to smoke on the water or something like that!! I can only imagine what your friends+relatives must think about your skills. I'm simply in awe!!!

  • and again i'm speechless really good. you have to upload more videos i love to see you playing:)

  • The audio is coming in loud and clear from this computer and I have stock speakers ! Incredible playing young lady !! Sweet cover choice.

  • Holy Shit!!! This is freaking awesome! I love Steve Vai... Too bad the video doesn't have better audio :/

    Still kick ass.

  • wow is the least i can say.. i am so very impressed.. you rock.. be proud be very proud.. your very hard work and dedication is a pleasure to hear and see.. i am sure you will at the very least be a well paid studio artist one day.. i listened to that song often at your age but i was never good enough to even try to play it.. also little green men lol.. well take care thanks for the share and best of luck to you

  • Talented player, just not my taste in music, still liked though.

  • You play exceptionally well, but I have to ask;

U OWN A BOSS GT-10 WITH BUILT IN INTERFACE, SO Y U NO PLUG IT INTO THE COMPUTER 2 RECORD!?

You really do play so well, I really can't fault you. So with very little effort you can make your videos far more professional. It'll sound sexist, I know, but there are so many disappointing video entitled things like 'amazing girl guitarist', and you're by far the best I've seen! Keep it up!

    Alex

  • @malagutial I know the Boss GT 10 has that but I can not get it to work. I plug it in and I am suppose to look for some drivers etc. Even if hooked up how can I do audio and video in sync?

  • @johntg123 well i use a driver called ASIO4ALL too detect the input jack on my PC you need too make sure that the option *always resample 44.1kHz 48kHz* is selected

for a recording program either Reaper or Audacity

i dont know if i explained enough but im more than happy too help :)

  • @johntg123 you can use sony vegas pro to sync your video and audio.. its very easy to use... :) btw, nice playing... you play far better than me.. lolz

  • You just got a new subscriber

  • Very cool cover you chose and well played Taylore,I was wondering which electric guitar do you use?.I've also seen you use different guitars throughout your video collections so that's why I'm asking,If u could reply me on messages or smth : )

  • @berthunteri I use a Rock Candy Xtreme made by Daisy Rock - it has a badass floating Floyd Rose System which is pretty cool.

  • Great job Taylor!!!

    Kiana =)

  • Good one, congratulations! Keep the good work!

  • WOW..if your ever in Michigan let me know..damn I put my guitar down for a bit, heh!

  • Your wonderful!! I am AMAZED that people would give you advice your technique!! I can here someone tell Steve Ray he need to improve his technique, or Eddie Van Halen, or Brian May, you people who invented stuff we all copy today!!

  • Are you going to be at NAMM this year? If so, where and when?

  • @Alphonso626 Yes. I have an endorsement deal with Daisy Rock - they provide me with a pass but they are not having performers this year. Last year I played at the EVH5150 area - played Eruption and Eruption Backwards on a Wolfgang running through EVH gear - pretty cool. Since I now have a mesa boogie Half stack I will go by their booth also. I am going Friday and Saturday

  • Damn will u be my girlfriend in 2 years from my calculations when ur 18 please

  • @keyboardfanatic1 Ok but don't the guitar players who use what you would consider great technique also hit a wall? If I can basically play anything I want with ease, where is the wall? You a keyboardist?(keyboardfanatic) Have you ever heard of Art Tatum? He had terrible technique but is considered the greatest Jazz Pianist of all time - even great classical pianists of his time - Rubinstein, Horowitz were in awe of his playing. He just played in a manner that was natural to him.

  • This chick rocks!

  • taylor.. you read this and ill be suprised but DAMN. iv watched ur practice song u made up. and thought "hmm shes pretty good. wait wats this?" i clicked this video and im actually blown away ha. (: u definately should respond to this because your actually an amazingly talented musician. i play guitar. been playing for like half a year. i just play like just like from GnRs to acdc to metalica. no where near your skill. but still respond aha. trust me, im not creepy. but im fun to talk to:) dareu

  • @VelrixServer Thank you. Angus Young is still one of my all time favorite guitarists and of course Kirk Hammitt and Slash are excellent as well.

  • i'm so sorry but i cant give you a positive comment like everybody else. even if you are able to play steve vai or aything that involves shredding you should get good technique( by the way i saw your guitar exercise and all you're doing is develop bad habbits that will mess your guitar learing) my suggestion: go have guitar classes( beacuse i doubt you've had any), jazz in particular if you can, and you'll see the difference in your playing. besides that, keep rockin

  • @franciscomendonca8 And i think you're wrong, technique will come in time (although i see nothing wrong with her technique) and she doesn't need classes, it'll just be waste of her time and the tutors because they will most likely tell her she's too advanced for lessons anyway (which she is). You're awesome Taylor, Keep on rocking!

  • @master18666 Thank you for your kind words. I simply don't care about technique - if I like the way I play it and it sounds the way I want it too - I am done. There is always someone who is going to be negative about something - that is the way youtube is! thanks again

  • @franciscomendonca8 If proper technique makes playing the instrument easier and I played The Attitude Song (note-for-note) with bad technique - that makes my way of playing it harder then the way Steve Vai played it! lol I can dig it.

  • @johntg123 Screw the people whining about the technique... I play drums, keyboards and I'm a singer (not a guitarist) so I might not be the right person to judge this. But hell, I don't see any technical issues? You're not extremely bent while playing or anything. Technique will develop when exercising certain songs or your own work and will progress since you just want to be able to play this or that... will come naturally. I vote for more original work! Everything for metal \m/

  • @franciscomendonca8 I believe technique is a waste of time - I play in a manner that works for me. Jimi Hendrix did not have great technique but doubt his skill and ability? - same with Art Tatum and many many others. Just don't care about technique...I guess in your eyes there is no hope for me lol

  • @johntg123 first of all, wasn't trying to be negative, just saying what i think( i believe youtube lets you do that :p). and if you have that idea on technique i'm really sorry. What i was trying to say is that If you train your hands to be accurate and avoid small tendencies like most have, not only will you play faster but you'll be more focused in putting more soul and feel into your play and you would only benefit in doing that. hope you get my point, was only trying to help

  • @johntg123 Don't be stupid, don't you know that if you don't go the same road everyone else you're going to fail at everything ever?

Just kidding. Forget the haters. Do your thing.

    Btw, more originals!!

  • @flamingfishbone I am finishing up a piece I wrote called "Fun House" the idea is many oddities on the guitar in the piece like when you go to fun house and see odd things. I am also working on a new exercise like Game Changer - this one will be called Game Master. I will use much better guitar tone and recording techniques. Thank you for your comments - got to do my thang!!!!!!

  • @johntg123 Sounds awesome, Buckethead-ey in a way, I dig it!! Big fan of "noise"stuff like that, as well as the more guitar riff&solo-heavy sound, so I'm curious to see how you'll work that out, I'm sure I'll dig it though. Heck yeaaaa do it!

  • wow.

  • HI , I just saw your new video , and IS GREAT , keep going like this Taylor ... hey can you do me A BIG FAVOR !! • WOW

  • That was fantastic! Way to go Taylor!

  • Awesome! Hey, is there a tab site you trust more than most? By trust meaning they are more likely to have a correct tab.

  • @decacrimie Ultimate Guitar is great but you have to be careful. I have been getting a subscription to Guitar World magazine for about five years now - their tabs are excellent. You can also get tabs on their website for free.

  • W O W !

  • Taylor, you have gone from a technical player needing to clean up, to a real guitarist with amazing ability and style! I will certainly be looking out for your new stuff now! Andrew

  • @greyflap Thank you. I will put something else up in a couple weeks.

  • @johntg123 You're welcome Taylor. I know you must be a busy young lady so whenever you get a chance to post something new, I will be so looking forward to it. Thanks again!

  • @greyflap It's hard to believe she is an inspiration to me as well. by: @MasterSoaD, 16, Brazil.
