9 iron 140 yards, 8 iron 153 yards, 7 iron 164 yards, 6 iron, 174 yards, 5 iron, 185, 4iron, 201 yards, and 3 iron, 217 yards, 3 wood 250-260 yards and my driver 290 yards.. btw that is not on the carry it rolls about 11 yards. Well don't misunderstand, that largely depends on wind direction and speed as well as how high you lay it up, as in less of a normal arch etc. I typically shoot shots 150 and less with a 9 and very rarely dip as low as a 6, I tend to lean on hybrid clubs at that range.

In my early 20's (minus a torn rotator cuff [work related ... not a golfing injury] which forced me to quit playing) ... I could smash a 7 iron over 200 yards but that's playing it a little further back in the stance than normal. My cousin could hit his 7 iron around 215 but he's a little bigger than me and had a lower ball flight than mine.

It all depends on where you place the ball in your stance and how much your de-lofting the club.

True, anyone else who says they hit it further may probably have done it once with wind assistance however they think they can do it everytime. They can't. I have a mid teens handicap, 135 mtrs 7 iron is about right (150 yards). Once I hit the 7 about 170 mtrs (185yrds) luckily cos I picked the wrong club out thinking I hit the 5i. Best connection I ever had with wind assistance. Couldn't believe it when I realised I had grabbed the 7 by accident. Still didnt reach the green though haha!
